April !!! How are you packing for the weather?

There are a good handful of us heading down in April. How are you packing in regards to the weather? Do you think we need to take jackets/hoodies to the parks? I'm thinking shorts will be ok for the kids and DH, I'll probably be in capri's. I'm not sure how chilly it can get, especially in the evenings.

Well according to the weather website the average high is 83 and average low is 60. So based on that I will be packing a variety of clothing for the 3 of us. Jeans, capris, shorts, sweaters, sweatshirts, tee shirts, tank tops. I don't think the evenings get that chilly but just to be on the safe side I will bring a light jacket or two for myself as DH and DS most likely won't need one. Have a great trip!!!

We went last year in april and are going again in april this year. I noticed last year that weather there is great for shorts, capris(which is what I wore most of the time), tank tops, ect... my DD5 wore mostly sundresses and thin garments. Anything that was made of sturdy cotton made her sweat like crazy and made her miserable.

Obviously we each brought a sweater or sweatshirt and a pair of pants on the off chance that it got chilly and I think one night it did. For the most part it was gorgeous and perfect shorts weather.

Our family only packs one carry on bag each, no checked baggage, so we have to fit everything into that one small bag. A few pairs of shorts, tanks, tee's, 2 swimsuits each, a hat. The jeans and hoodie I will be wearing on the plane will do double duty for any cold weather. We usually do laundry half way though at the hotel. We just toss it in and go swimming. It's easier than lugging around all kinds of bags and waiting for your stuff to come up on the baggage carousel.

We will all be wearing pants and a sweater on the plane so that will probably be it for warm clothes, other than that just summer clothes!

I have been checking the Weather Channel website daily, and for the week of April 1-5 when we will be there, it is calling for highs around 83 and lows around 65 every day!


I think we will still be bringing a pair of jeans for each of us for dinner reservations, since the a/c may be extra cool, and probably some sort of light jacket to put on later in the evening. Other than that, all shorts and capris I think!
