April Exercise Challenge -27,527 minutes reported!

1775/1200 another 45 minutes on the elliptical and 5 minutes of sit ups!

I'll be joining again for May! This was very helpful to me!

I had 60 mins walk/run on the treadmill Saturday 4/28
30 mins of walk/run outside today Monday 4/30

That brings me to 1030/1200.

I was 170 mins. short of my goal, which in hindsight, was probably set a little high. I'm motivated, I just have to remember a little thing called life with 3 kids and a DH lol. :goodvibes

Congratulations to everyone... whether you did 10% or 110% of your goal!

Thanks so much, Cam, for coordinating this thread this month, being so welcoming and encouraging!

I'd love to join in for May!

Congratulations to everyone who met her goal for the month! And, for those who didn't, at least you're keeping track of what you did do and everyone sure did do a whole lot this month!!!!

Finishing up my month....

started out at 1840/2000

April 23 - 27 mins power walking with pup
April 24 - 45 mins yardwork; 53 mins run; 40 mins pw with pup
April 25 - 30 mins power walking; 40 mins pw with pup
April 26 - 54 mins run
April 28 - 54 mins run; 40 mins pw with pup
April 29 - 124 mins power walking [7 miles - my longest distance yet!]
April 29 - 40 mins pw with pup

2387/2000 :banana::banana::banana::banana:

Oh, if my bananas are dancing, does that count as minutes, too???

Cam, thank you for your encouraging words throughout the month - it really does help!

Yesterday's total-
1174/1200

15 minutes this morning of warm up and stretch

Had it in my head that I needed 24 minutes when it was 26.
Figured I'd do my 10 minute stretch tonight and be on goal.
Logged that and realized I needed 26, and was a minute short.
Pulled the mat back out for abs, made it through 3 minutes. ::yes::

Brings me to 1202/1200 :yay:

Made it - but only through some serious last minute pushing this weekend! :faint:

I'll be in for May, just need to decide on a goal.
Need to deal with getting dd ready for a school trip and all her medical needs & forms organized. And to recover from my weekend of yard work, so will probably not do much tomorrow, other than stretching.

Thanks, Cam for hosting, and all your encouragement!

Congrats to everyone for all your minutes, I've really enjoyed reading all the posts!

And to those going to Disney soon - Have an amazing trip!!!

Wow! I am so impressed with everyone's determination!

For those who didn't meet their goal, I hope you give yourself credit for the fact that you still got lots of exercise minutes in. You might not have had quite that many if you hadn't set a goal and challenged yourself.

I think we will still be seeing some month-end minutes posted here. I'll give it a day or so and then total the minutes. That will be fun. :)

Oh Cam, you're so sweet! I figured a conservative estimate for the days in Disney running around would be an additional 400 minutes. That brings me to a more decent total. I'm not going to beat myself up over not making my goal, I'm just going to try harder this month. It's so great to be in the company of others who are trying to take better care of themselves. Cheering each other on is fun and inspirational. Congrats to everyone who participated!!

Hmmm weird, I was sure I posted my workout for yesterday before I went to bed last night but I can't find it.

420/1020

30 - 55 min Biggest Loser DVD

Happy May 1st! Woohoo!

I just did a slooooowwwwww half marathon this past weekend in Oklahoma City in honor of the victims of the Oklahoma City bombing in the mid-1990's. What a moving experience. The folks of OKC are the best! I highly recommend this race -Oklahoma City Memorial Run

My total exercise minutes for April is 1350. Cam, thanks for being our leader this past month. You rock!

Congratulations! Slow or not, you finished - and supported a great event. Yay you!

A good friend of mine ran that marathon in honor of her husband's grandparents who were killed in the bombing [can you imagine!]. I didn't know that there was a half marathon, too....definitely something to think about in the future.

Well said, Cam! :goodvibes

One of my favorite sayings is "No matter how slow you run a mile, you are still lapping everyone that is on the couch."

Everyone gets huge "E's" for effort just for reporting in on this thread. Congrats to everyone for making a great life choice! :thumbsup2
