I really like the idea of starting AND ending a cruise with a couple of sea days! :thumbsup2

I wonder if I can get better airfare to NY over Orlando????

.

me too..but add CC to it!!

I was thinking that as well, but it seems like it might be hard to do without making it a longer cruise. On the WBTA, we went from Tortola to CC, and even with one full sea day in between, we were pushing it to get to CC before 10 (weren't scheduled to get in until 11, and that was even with leaving Tortola pretty early in the afternoon.)

You can't really cut a sea day out in the beginning, since even from PC, it takes 2 1/2 days at sea to get to St Maarten, and the same when we were on the WBTA from about the mid-Atlantic area.

We are strongly looking at Carnival Spirit which has 2 over nights which includes Maui and Oahu and maybe 3 nights in Aulani!

it would be nice if they did eastern med including holyland - like so many other cruise lines do (e.g., cunard, princess, celebrity, etc)...
but disney will no doubt continue their boycott of israel..(no cruise, no abd)..

Sorry--and with all due respect--why post if you're not going to share? It like a child teasing another child..."ha ha I know something you don't know"....personally I think it's sort of rude.

i agree just keep your mouth shut!!!

Did not read through all the posts - just getting off the Magic this morning. When we booked our next cruise, the CM did say the announcement would be made this week and that it would be a new itinerary.

Here are a few hints I thought I heard while on the DREAM last week...

During a tour, a cruise staff person told us that the three stars on the carpets marked the home ports of the ships.....LA, PC and Barcelona. His words were "these are the home ports for the Disney Cruise Line for the foreseeable future".

During the CC reception two different officers mentioned Hawaii and while they didn't say the WONDER would be there they certainly hinted on it for quite a while.

Then, during Captain Henry's speech he told us he couldn't tell us about the new itineraries. But then he gave quite a long explanation of how the ships are tied to Disney land locations. He said "the WONDER is right next to Disney Land, the MAGIC is right next to Disney World. Maybe we could do something with Aluani in Hawaii? Or DL Paris?" He really pushed the tie in concept so it had me wondering if there is more Europe ahead than we think???

It all may mean nothing at all! But I thought I would report in!! :goodvibes

Oh, I really hope it does mean something, and it will be back in Europe!!!

This was posted by a TA as their guess...Disney Magic - out of NYC (Bahamas/Port Canaveral? Bermuda?), April to September and out of Galveston (W. Caribbean), September to December. Disney Wonder - out of Vancouver/Seattle (Alaska), late May to early September, out of LA (Mexico), October to December, with sailings to/from Honolulu when repositioning LA to Seattle/Vancouver and return. This is only a GUESS!
concur. Seems most likely outcome

This type of itinerary interests us more than a couple of ports in Hawaii -- and would save a ton on airfare :goodvibes

Not for us folks out west. :) We are driving to Vancouver for our Alaska cruise. First time we have not had airfare for a DCL cruise. Nice! :goodvibes

I don't see Disney doing a Holy Land cruise itinerary. Not due to a boycot, but because of the general unrest in the area. It's one thing for a cruise line that caters to mostly adults to cruise that area, but for one that caters to families with children, it would be a media nightmare if something were to happen, and the possible bookings they're giving up aren't enough to offset that PR risk. I'd love to see an eastern Med, hitting Greece and Turkey, but honestly, we've passed on any other cruiseline's eastern itinerary if it includes a Holy Land stop, just because of that risk.

There is good reason that Disney does not go certin places. Look at Jamaica they do not do that and there is good reason for that. We love Jamaica but it is something we will do on Carnival. I too am eagerly waiting for those itineraries to come out.

I would like to reiterate that I didn't put anyone down . . . and the comment about watching the news was purely a joke and not meant to offend, so if that is what you are referring to, I apologize, once again.

Seriously, I had no ill intent folks . . . believe it or not . . .

Don't worry Buddy! I am still excited for the announcement.

well if they go out of Galveston, they might do Jamaica, and we have gone to Jamaica on Royal Caribbean as well. It isnt really that bad of a place, it has some beauty to it as well. They dont go to Kingston, so i feel safe.

of course it's a boycott - if they were worried about unrest they would never have had ABD to egypt or cruises to tunisia.....
call a spade a spade....

as for not worrying about unrest in turkey vs israel - that's pretty amusing...and shows your lack of knowledge of the area...

"Quote from a travel agents email I got yesterday...."

"but the vendor actually came into my office yesterday and asked that we NOT say anything prior their official announcement coming up this Wednesday, Apr. 6th....... If you are on Facebook, watch my Facebook status updates on Wednesday, Apr. 6 or watch the status updates at our page on Apr. 6 and we will post the news when it becomes official! We will also shoot out a special edition of our email that evening so look for it!

If what I told by some inside people at the company is the announcement this vendor will be making you will want to get into our offices ASAP starting Thursday and get booked, especially if you are a family needing a cabin for 4 or 5 people, want to cruise at Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Years 2012 or Spring Break 2013. This really will be big news, especially here in Texas but for the entire Midwest!"

While it does not give us specific info, since it has already been announced that Princess is coming right about the same time with the Crown, my money is on an NCL announcement.

I am grateful that the lines are starting to take our area seriously, but REALLY grateful Princess is back into the game. Want to do a couple of back to backs and get that Elite status card! :)

Let's move on....the poster has explained himself several times already and has said what the itinerary he heard would be. End of story.

MJ

Might I make a suggestion? It's obvious that miztigg did not read any further than the post that was replied to. I'm sure there was no knowledge that Buddy had explained himself etc. With all due respect, would it be possible (and kinder) send miztigg (and others in the future) a PM instead of publicly giving the equivilant of a handslap? We've all said that it's hard to interpret the written word, but this reply would sting a bit if I was receiving it and it's not likely that miztigg was even aware of the drama.
