April 6th dcl announcement

Would love to do the Hawaii one but to take the kids out of school for that long in April would be a tough one!!

Hello Everyone,
I'm so excited about the 15-night Hawaii r/t :dance3: Now, I just have to convince DH that 15-night on a Disney ship with maybe 2-3 nights at the Park is not TOO much Disney  I mentioned to him on the phone already, and I can actually "hear" him shuddering :goodvibes

Looking closely at the dates though, a 15-night Hawaii r/t from Apr 29 will bring you to return to LA on May 14. What is happening between May 14 and May 28??? The first Seattle-Alaska sailing is indicated for May 28, 2011...........so, I'm thinking there must be another May repo Pacific Coast somewhere and another Mexico??? Any guesses?

I'm also interested in what the Wonder is doing between May 14th and
May 28th. Seems to be alot of time with nothing indicated yet.

Very interesting, I'm loving Alaska from Seattle, airfare to Vancouver is too expensive for us.

I can't believe that the Hawaii cruise is April 29th. I'm getting married on May 5th, 2012 on another cruise line, then jumping onto the Disney Fantasy May 12th, for our honeymoon cruise.

It just really sucks that we can't also do the Hawaii cruise next year.

Aside from the Hawaii cruise, and maybe the 5-day Canadian one. The other new cruises don't interest me at all

Hmmm, love NYC ! Thinking of a B2B doing the bahama and then canadian cruises! I'd love that!!!

NPR announced this morning DCL is coming to Galveston sept 2012. The announcement was made around 530am here in Houston.

Just looked at the Hawaii ports and looks like Wonder is still listed for Sept 16 Oahu and Sept 17 Hilo.

Wondering if we'll be able to book the September one? Any guesses on a start date? I'll need the extra time to save for that one! :)

Alrighty then...what enterprising DISer is going to translate this into a chronological listing for the Magic and the Wonder?

Looks like there are several opportunities to do a NY-Bahama B2B with NY-Canada or vise-versa for a 13 night adventure.

.

Really was hoping for Europe as well...DCL will not be getting my vacation $$$ in 2012.

I doubt if they're concerned about not pleasing the Med fans as they've had to discount those cruies quite a bit recently. I'm sure they'll be picking up a lot of other $$'s from new Disney cruise fans at newly inflated prices! :goodvibes

They've had to discount them every year they have been offered, including 2007 the very first year DCL cruised the Med!

I noticed that they have the Wonder listed on the port schedule in Sept. too, however in that information released about 2012 cruises, there is a conflict there.

I took this straight from the release:

Additionally, the Disney Wonder will sail four seven-night Pacific Coast cruises from Los Angeles (on Sept. 16, Sept. 23, Sept. 30 and Oct. 7), calling on San Francisco, San Diego and Ensenada, Mexico.

It can't be in LA, leaving on a 7-night Pacific Coast cruise & be in Honolulu.

I REALLY hope that the Wonder will be in Hawaii in Sept, but don't know for sure.

And you could extend that with a 2-day cruise to nowhere!!!

Hmmm, we didn't get any discounts when we sailed them in 2007 :confused3

Wish Disney would stop doing Repos during school years! We've been hoping and hoping that Hawaii would be a choice and now we find out it's during an impossible time for us to sail :sad2:

So with that one off the board, unfortunately for us NONE of these proposed itineraries are of any interest or worth the cruise fare. The most boring (JMO) is the NYC to PC to CC to Nassau to NYC.

Really disappointed that Bermuda is not in there!

When will bookings be open? Thursday or Friday amd what time do they open? Midnight. I see the conflict for Sept but I am hoping tomorow will clear that up!

We're thinking of definitly doing 2 b2b out of NY just have to decide which 2 work for us schedule and money wise....But the 13 day option is what I'm leaning towards...

I've pieced this together from what I've seen so far...

They've had to discount them every year they have been offered, including 2007 the very first year DCL cruised the Med!

Because their prices were much higher than other cruise lines doing the same sailings. They weren't even close to being competitive
The first summer of Med cruises they only discounted in the category 12 option so others that didn't want to give up their balcony or window didn't qualify for any discount

Excited about the possibility of the 5 night NYC cruise. Will definitely be looking into that one. :goodvibes

You and me both - I had a feeling their itinerary would be boring.
I do disagree with Hawaii though. Even if it was offered during the summer I wouldn't do a cruise. Hawaii just has too much to offer to just spend a day here and there while on the cruise. We have been three times and can't see myself not spending more than 3 days in one location
