My family is going on this cruise for our 15 yr anniversary our last disney cruise will be 15 yrs ago on our honeymoon. Can't wait to take our 5yr she is going to love it! Any tips or suggestions ? Three days at disney boardwalk before 7 night cruise!!

PM = Private Message
FE = Fish Extender (if you don't know what this is, there are thread that discuss in great detail!)
DVC = Disney Vacation Club
DD = Dear (or Darling) Daughter
DS = Dear son
DH = Dear Husband
DW = Dear wife
The number after the D indicates the age (i.e. DS7 = 7 year old son; DD5 = 5 year old daughter)

we are considering driving as well, the way down isn't bad, but coming home with all the other spring breakers is always a nightmare! But it's worth saving some bucks! I assume we can park at the port for free while we are cruising?

Another parking option besides the hotels is Park N Cruise, http://parkcruise.com/. We have parked there a couple of times in the past and have no problems at all. It is probably what we will be doing for this cruise too.

On our last cruise, we opted to park at the terminal at $120 for the week. It was covered - and if you can get a spot on the 3rd floor, that's right where you come out of the terminal. We left the boat, collected our bags, loaded the car and left all in about 10 minutes. That was worth for us - and we'll probably do it again.

We have entertained the thought of driving before, so the $120 a night isn't that bad for the convenience you mentioned, nice to get off and go! Just wish we didn't have a 24 hour drive to deal with!

Yes, that's a bit far to drive. We live in Florida which makes our travel a lot easier.

One thing I've read about doing is getting a one way car rental, pick up at MCO and drop off at the Cape. You might also consider using a car service. I've seen several people say they have used Happy Limo and it was cheaper than the DCL bus.

I was discussing with the wife. Best idea we came up with...wait for it...bowling! The thought is we can group the similar aged kids at a lane so they can socialize and get to know each other. Parents and little one's just hang out. There's a decent alley in Roswell. Might be far for some...it's one idea...

Also, there seem to be a bunch of ATL (ATL, Roswell, Alpharetta, etc) families going, might be fun to get together/meet somewhere to let the kids meet before the cruise! I have a DS 12, DD 9, and DD 8...I know they would love to have some buddies to hang out with on the cruise. We are in Alpharetta...

Is anyone starting to think about excursions yet? Just curious.

Cool! Tell me a little bit about your family! I love "getting to know" people a little.

We live in Whitehall, Michigan. My husband Harry (57) is a Maintenance Manager and I (Anita - 54 in Sept) am a Commodity Manager. We are REALLY looking forward to taking time off on this trip. I've actually hinted to DH that maybe we should consider a 3-4 day Bahama cruise in November just to take some time away and ssslllooowww dddooowwwnnn. Our DD Caitlyn just turned 16 - she was adopted from China when she was 10 months old. She's a beautiful, bright girl and absolutely the joy of my life!

Perhaps more than you'd care to konw or more than is customary to share on this forum, but as I said...I love to get to know people a bit, s I thought I'd share a few details about us as well. Looking forward to meeting you!
