Hi all! I just put a hold on two connecting 5B staterooms for our family of 5. I'm in such sticker shock though, that I am wondering if I can keep this reservation. If anyone wouldn't mind sharing their per adult cost at the time you booked, I would be most appreciative. I just want to see if I am paying a huge mark up and should hold out and book a 2015 when they come out. I am so attracted to 2014, however, as it will be the last time my tweens will be of the age that they can cross over to the Lab so my littlest will have some company, some of the time. And, this cruise falls on our spring break, which happens to contain both mine, and my DD's birthday! And of course....I just want to go! Thanks!

I agree to the sticker shock. There is a thread somewhere that people were posting their per person rates. I stopped reading because it was way too depressing compared to what we are paying. If you look at rates 3 weeks later, the price plummets by 40%! We are also at the mercy of Spring Break, and I work for the schools, so I don't have extra time off.

We have a family of 5, as well. One room is a 5B. Instead of connecting rooms, our second room is an inside stateroom across the hall. This helped with the cost by almost a grand. That option, of course depends on the age of your kids.

Good Luck and do what works best for your family. My kids and DH all chose DCL over a Hawaii trip! I keep telling them I am spending their college money! ...and Christmas, and birthday...

I'm not necessarily volunteering to lead the group as someone else may be more suited to this than I. Happy to answer any questions if I can....we just got off the Wonder and are now trying to figure out how to do another this Fall. We are all suffering withdrawal....its an addiction...[sigh]

how do you put past travel dates under what you write? do you have to add it everytime or is there somewhere on your profile to add so it automatically goes on every post? im new to disboards still trying to figure it all out. Thanks

A belated thanks for your response! Well....I went ahead and booked last week! Yippee! I had found a 5B across from an inside just the day before but of course when I went to book the next day, the 5B was gone! So I booked connecting 5A cabins ( the last set of connecting 5B's didn't have the pull down bunk). After some thought, my youngest DD will probably be much more comfortable next to us than across the hall with her older sisters. And I think it will be super fun to have the connecting verandas, as well!
