funny I almost booked the cabin you're in (we need the wheelchair accessible for my mom) but booked on 7 instead because I wanted a port side cabin this time (last time on the Magic we were in 7636).

Princess T, Was 7636 a handicap room?? Do you know if the handicap rooms are big enough to move a wheelchair around inside? I know the regular rooms are definitely NOT but I did look at the deck plans and it "looks" pretty big.

The wheelchair accessible cabins are definitely large enough to move around in a wheelchair. They are huge - almost the size of a regular hotel room. The bathroom are also large but be forewarned that there is a ramp up - always make sure you're taking the ramp head on (not on an angle), makes it much easier.

The only real downfall to the accessible balcony cabins on the Magic is that they are all the way at the back (a little far from the elevators), so sometimes you need to dodge the cleaning carts or have them moved so the chair can pass.

Also, does everyone in the room get a gift, or just those listed wanting to participate or one per cabin (doesn't seem this last is the answer based on FE picture threads)? my math is fuzzy, but last count was like 40-ish on the roll call saying yes.

The wife says she doesn't want to do it, but I may override her, at least to include the kids in our group.

For the FE gift, it's up to you what and when you want to give.

I am doing a family cabin gift and I'm delivering once during the cruise (although mine is made up of a few pieces, it makes much more sense if you received it all at once).

On other cruises I've been on, sometimes I've done individual gifts (for the men a Canadian wallet with a new Canadian penny of that year and a mickey mouse key chain; for the women a small crochet purse with a mickey head necklace and a mickey mouse key chain) and other times a cabin gift (memory keeper kit).

I've never seen where some people in the cabin participate and some don't. It's usually a cabin that participates and then when deciding what to give you either do a cabin gift or individual gifts or an adult & kid gift (like one thing for the adults and one thing for the kids).

As an FYI, the cut off for joining is coming up on March 26th.

Yes yes yes! I got my cruise docs for the cruise right before this, sails on 4/25 so anyway we should have the ones for this trip. I'm sooo excited. I can't believe how close we are, yet so far away. I have so much to keep me busy from now until then. My days are all running together I'm so busy.

Very much so. Work is just right now so I am really looking forward to this trip.

My mom said yesterday that we should start packing but I think I'm going to wait until Easter since I have 4 days off (Good Friday and Easter Monday).

Yes, the 26th was the closing date for the FE so as of today, the list is closed.

I'll be doing up a spreadsheet or Word Document (depending on how ambitious I get) listing out the names, cabins, and ship location (forward, midship, aft / port or starboard), and I'm happy to share once it's completed (hopefully by the week-end).
