We got ours and I have to say that it looks fantastic :thumbsup2 I can't wait to participate. Thanks for all the time and energy you have put into making this trip special for so many people

Packs are great Corinna, thank you for all the hard work you put into it.

Corinna - The SH packs are fantastic!!

You are welcome. I had great fun putting those together. The bulk of the work for this was done on the Panama Canal cruise last year. Now comes the easy part. I just have to sit in the Promenade Lounge at the specified time, have a Drink of the Day or two and wait for you guys to bring the fruits of your labour.

I cannot seem to find the FE sheets, I have printed my group out all safe and secure, but I have a few FE kids gifts extra and would like to find some kids to give them too. Thought it may be easier now, that randomly putting them in an FE where I don't know the ages or sex of the kids. :goodvibes
I know there is a master list here, Is it located somewhere, I checked the first page??? :confused3:confused3:confused3
Thanks for any help.:flower3:

The Master list does not contain the ages of the kids. Here are the links to some lists I did.

All participants in alphabetical order:

WE ARE SAILING TO HAWAII THIS MONTH!!! :woohoo::dance3::woohoo::yay::banana:

This feels so good. I can't believe how close we are getting.

This is the one I used and have kept open on my computer so I don't loose it :confused3 because my computer doesn't like the google docs. I can't print them or save them. I did same thing last night...did some gifts for kids not in our FE because I had extras from previous cruise.

I had to experiment yesterday as I needed to add the various sheets to the Navigator and I was not able to keep the colour coding when copying and pasting. I found a really nice function yesterday. If you go into the Google Doc that you want and then access the file menu, there is an export option and then export to Excel. I have been using this to add the documents to the Navigator as this creates an Excel document with all the formatting intact, which I can then copy and paste into a Word document.

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

I think everyone was a little disappointed. We were told some of the characters would be there but the few that we saw were on the ship.

At least you got to go and Enjoy the day :goodvibes

52 years ... that is so awesome :thumbsup2

. . .

What kind of crafts do you do Jackie? I am interested in all crafts and spend many happy hours creating. :goodvibes

If you can stay up past 10pm you don't sound much like geezers to me ;)

Georgeat, I couldn't find your original post to quote, but 52 years is FABULOUS! Congratulations!

At home, neither of us stay up past 10 pm. But I will definitely make the effort to attend a Geezers meet on ship!:rotfl2:

She is doing well, thanks. Lots of followup appts of course. I am not sure why they call the family first, but it seems to be standard. :confused3

Sometimes, it's a good thing- my MIL had alzheimers - when she had a stroke, the last thing she needed was treatment that might prolong her unhappy life. But, the family needed to be the ones to make that call.

.

ALSO, yes I could NOT find Purex 3-1's at the Walmart's. I was thinking of the Tide Pods then thought about what would happen if those thin little pods with the ever so fragile skin holding the liquids were to burst and instead went with the Arm and Hammer 4-1 Crytal Burst. So if the power explodes then at least it wont be as messy in a bag as a liquid.

Im thinking too much about this cruise. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

Unfortunately the Purex 3 -1s have been discontinued! Everything seems to be pods now.

Printed my door signs and applied the magnets this morning. Progress is being made :goodvibes

Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday!

I have a box of 22 sheets of Purex 3 -1. I don't use them at home, but I can share my box with you if you want them. I'll not use all 22 of them :)

It's April finally. I have a month to pack.

Flying to Long Beach on the 28th and spending the night on the Queen Mary, so it's 2 ships. Friends are giving me a ride to the pier. (That doesn't need to be on any navigators or lists, just noting it)

Is anyone else a NASCAR fan?
Wondering if there is anyplace that will be showing it? Would anyone want to join us in watching?
As long as you dont root for Kyle Busch We will be great friends! hahaha :)

I noticed your comments under your name. I have a diet coke addiction also:rotfl: ...serious enough we are hoping to be able to carry some 2 liters onboard for cabin. One of our biggest expenses on a long cruise is the room service delivery of 6 packs of diet coke :confused3 second only to photos!

Does anyone know if once you board they will let you get back off to get a "second load" to carry on? I am concerned because we have some extras to carry this trip we haven't had before and I doubt if my daughter can accommodate it all in her lap in her wheelchair. If they will I would definitely park at dock parking lot and not take shuttle from hotel.
Oh and I am not referring to the diet coke mentioned above!

At least you're addicted to the diet variety. Me, I'm addicted to Classic Coke....140 calories in each can and I can easily drink six cans a day.....EEK!!! :scared1::scared1: I try so hard not to. I'll drink a bottle of water in between each can of coke, but then I'll still drink three a day when I'm trying hard not to. It's better, but it's really not good. It's the only thing that settles my stomach and makes it feel better. I always had an upset tummy when I was little and my mother would pour coke syrup over crushed ice and it always made it better. I'm so addicted.

I'm not sure if they let you reboard once you're on the ship....but you can probably work that out. The part that I would be concerned about is the fact that they don't let you into your stateroom for a while. If you board and reboard carrying extra things, where will you put it all once you're onboard and your stateroom is not open yet? Maybe Guest Services will hold it all for you? That sounds like you need to call DCL and ask if it's possible.

That is probably a great starting point. Wouldn't have been as much as issue before I became a geezer...I could handle being a pack mule :)

Thank you, prayers are also sent from our part to your husband and mom :sad2:
All I can say is that I have never seen such deep fear and despair in his eyes, than the day he found out that he had this heart attack. The thing is that we really have no idea when it happen and that is what has him on edge. Approx four weeks ago, he complained that his neck was hurting (stiff) and it would just get worse, a week went by and it kept getting worse so we went to visit the doctor because of his high blood pressure and to check his neck and when the doctor checked him his pressure was sky high and he decided to do an EKG and you wouldn't know, doctor suspected a heart attack. After that came confirmations with tons of other test, MRI, brain scan, stress test, tilt table, ECO, blood test. Lord it sure was a test, but we are here, he is standing! But for sure fear is prevalent in his eyes, the fact that something so silently came to damage his heart, I think has left him also with a mental scare.

It is very scary for both of you. Maybe he and Bob can talk (though guys don't seem to do Talk much do they?).

Did the doctors give you a copy of his EKG to bring with you? I am a over planner and although Bob says I drive him nuts, I think he appreciates the things I do prior to our trips to make sure I have info on things like medical evacuation options. We have had to use my planning a couple of times.

I can get all the Diet Coke I want on Deck 9, although it's a long walk up there from Deck 2 forward. no matter, I'll need the exercise. So I haven't considered bringing any with me. I'm going out to the ABC store to shop for booze nips (the airplane bottles), though.

I would also call DCL if you are planning to carry aboard more luggage than you can handle. If you board before 1 to 1:30 you are going to have to keep all that stuff with you until your stateroom is ready for occupation. (Keep the Diet Coke with you!)

Judy

I have left the pier building in LA and gone back in after check-in, but not the ship. For those who have not been to San Pedro, it is a much longer walk onto the ship then in Florida. Perhaps you can get help from the crew to bring your stuff onto the ship from the waiting arrive.

where are you getting late night chocolate chip cookies????

From the BEST barrista ever! It only took the first visit and she had us covered! LOVE BENTA!

And Noel will be bringing pins for the new members! :yay: And for those who forget theirs I am sure. Forgetfulness is forgiven among the Geezers. :rolleyes1

Since Disney has pins for every occasion, the FOG (Federation of Geezers or was that Fraternity of Geezers :confused3 It is so hard to remember these things!) decided on the WBTA that we too should have pins. We have pins for Geezers and for GITS.
:goodvibes

Oh goodie! I'll need one geezer and one git. :thumbsup2

Mostly rubber stamping/paper crafts...love making greeting cards. But when it comes to Christmas, I'll do all kinds of stuff. Don't sew or knit, and really admire those who can (Jan is my idol in that department). I plan on practicing more with caligraphy once I'm retired too. Love to draw and will spend more time on that too. My 'pie in the sky' dream would be to write and illustrate children's books. Hmmmmm....maybe I should be throwing a sketch pad in my luggage.....

Geezers can stay up late....they NAP during the day! :lmao:

.

Oh no! GITs are anyone who wants to learn from the pros how to grow old without growing up! :thumbsup2 Well, they do need to be at least 18 since we gather in the Cove Cafe. ;)
Guess I am a Geezer also. This is the first time I heard about a Geezer meeting though. I guess DH is still a GIT.
