From the sounds of it the DCL police would not allow that. Seems that any money exchanging hands on the ship is not allowed. Hoping the Champagne Girls party is ok cause I am really looking forward to that one!

Carol, DCL called me....the CGs are fine, BUT we have to do a prepay. Yours is $10 as a taster. You can paypal or send a check. My email is sky00@ptd.net and if you want my address, PM me. Everyone is being very generous and sending 5-10 over their amount.....whatever they choose. So we'll be able to order enough champagne and of a great variety for everyone to share!!!

Wow, this really does seem crazy to me since we are collecting our money to purchase champagne from DCL.. are they policing other cruises or is it just this particular one?

I will do the Paypal thing. My husband has an account so will get it done later. Thanks for all your organizing on this one..

They personally called Linda/seaulater about her scrapbooking class and they called Corinna/dolphingirl about her jewelry workshops and then they called me about the Champagne Girls.

I don't know if it's only this cruise or others, but I asked if this was a new policy since it was new to me and this is going to be my 4th tasting. They said no it's not a new policy, but it's being looked at right now. At least they didn't make me change my format like they did on the Fantasy maiden voyage. But it's their 1st tasting.

Actually, it makes it easier for me when ordering the champagne. I'll know exactly how much money I will have to do so with my budgeted amount added as well. We should be able to get two cases of champagne. That should be enough for all 95 of us. hahaha.

I read SOMEWHERE, either here on the Dis or on the facebook page that someone is going to return their rental car on Sunday at Long Beach. Does anyone remember which car rental brand it was?

Hi Connie, We are renting from AVIS, picking up at LAX and returning to 249 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach. It is open to 2pm on Sunday.
Hubby will drop kids and I at port with all our gear, then drop car back and meet us back at port.
Avis had good reviews Enterprise

I have just gone through my Vista Print "stuff" and didn't realize how much I've ordered in the 12 months leading up to our cruise. If anyone is planning anything let me know if you would like to use a banner, I have about 9 that I made from the different designs (what was I thinking???). I also have a couple posters and signs. Similar to the one I showed with the shirts. Maybe the Meet & Greet could use a little decoration??

I also ordered 14 tee-shirts over the months. Some of them the same design

Oh Val, At least you'll be dressed and decorated for every occasion.

Got our docs today. So this late morning we went to WDI for a special shopping time that a friend of mine got from a Disneyana convention. Needless to say we were like kids in a candy store. I am not going to say how much we spent, but I think it maybe time for me to cancel a tour or two.

Hayley and Melissa I have you both down as tasters. You're on the list. This one will be structured a little differently from the WBTA but I promise it will still be fun!!! All you need to bring is yourself and Melissa. Everything else is provided.

Sorry no pics. Lots of pins, lots of shirts. Got a couple of framed pin sets, one was a Matterhorn one, the other was a monorail one. Both are only two pins, but the really cool things are these are the sample pins from the manufacturer to see if the artist want to make changes. This is before the Artist proofs are done.

You can play, but no money must exchange hands while onboard. So play for chips until you get to port then meet up and exchange cash.

Disney is getting paid by me. I charge all the champagne.....2 cases for this event.....to my stateroom. I collect a small amount as compared to the full price that they charge me. So they are making good money off of me. That's why they're probably letting me do it in my own format. Unlike the maiden voyage of the Fantasy. DCL said they were charging every person $20....I take 0, 5, or 10. They were doing 4 champagnes in one hour. I do 4 or more in 2 hours. They were going to present and pour. I have them present and my husband and friends pour. We have more fun chatting in between tasting.
But it's the Fantasy's first time doing the CGs so they don't mind how it's structured. I do mine - my way. But DCL IS getting paid well by me....not to worry!

I don't know if any of you are in the candy swap or by chance in my group, Pixiagran 7638, but if you are....my daughter Catherine's favorite candy in the world is Cherry Ripe. We have been doing searches and ordering it from all sorts of places the last few decades ever since she got a bag of them from an Australian store when in college. Store is gone and my only current source (in US of all places) for getting it has been out for months.

If any of you are familiar with it and would be willing to bring some with you I would be happy to pay you...I'd even send money ahead to you in Australia.

I miss thunder snow! I grew up between Northglenn and Brighton. I sometimes tell my friends about it and they don't believe me.

I also miss the mountains.

Indiana is flat. I miss the mountains too. We do get thunder snow here though and heat lightening and sheet lightening, too.

Supraman PMed me that Stateroom #5022 had just opened up today and he remembered (Lord only knows how) that my elderly ILs had gotten assigned an 11B down on deck 5 while we were assigned up on deck 7. He suggested we try to snatch it up and you know what?!?!

I emailed our INCREDIBLE TA, Dorothy at Dreams Unlimited and within 5 minutes she emailed back that SHE GOT IT FOR US!!!

Now my DS(5) can just walk a few yards to his Grammy and Pop's room whenever he wants and my dear ILs will be able to spend time with us without having to take the elevator every time.

SUPRAMAN - THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

Oh, and I guess that means FE GROUP 7 needs to change our stateroom from 7003 to 5022

Steph - I must say I was almost blushing when I read your response and that's not something I do! I will simply say that I am very happy that things worked out for you and I was able to help. We look forward to meeting you in person as we will be next door neighbours on the cruise. I only realized after I read the sig in your email that you have a 5 year old. My DSes (3 and 5 year old boys) will be right next door so it looks like they will make some new friends as well! See you in a month...
