For those playing the candy swap, I have updated the spreadsheet with a DRAFT copy of the groups.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...dlFlOTQwZzdqTlE&hl=en&authkey=CM3s8vIH#gid=10

Please check it if you are playing and let me know of any errors, mistakes or ommissions.

Please DO NOT edit it - just let me know if something isn't right.

I will be closing this activity off next week, so if you want to play, please let me know ASAP.

Thanks!

Thanks everyone for your kind words following the passing of my FIL last week. Very sad, he was only 67 which is too young to go :sad2:

Good Evening All....absent a medical issue, I'd skip the bottled water and drink the ship's water. We carry a water bottle with us and it works fine. The ship's R/O is more advanced than some of the bottle water processors....Just our way....and we have no infants that might need special care with bottles.

We always drink the tap water on the ship too, it doesn't taste great but its not gonna kill us. I'd rather spent my $ on something else to be honest.

I don't care what anyone else says, I'd take Cpt Thord over Cpt Tom any old day. He's more personable in my book and will at least smile naturally. Not to mention wont keep repeating the wrong thing. Least we forget the "brown ****y" (oops, sorry Dis, forgot that word was bad) fiasco. :lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2: now that one I almost did have an accident.

Is Cpt Thord the one who constantly seems to clear his throat during the midday briefing? Had us in hysterics last time... we ended up the whole cruise, constanting doing the same ... we are easily amused.

I was wondering if the candy swap groups are available, not sure if I missed them? Can anyone direct me?

I have just put a DRAFT group listing up (see post above) and will close this off next week.

I checked with Mimosa (formerly of the Magic) That's the Violin player with the guitar player. They haven't been contacted by Disney, so likely they won't be on, either. I was so hopeful. THEY ROCK!

Someone on facebook was complaining about the number of pages on this thread, lol. Remember the days before FB, when threads about cruises like this used to jump about 10 pages a day?

umm - who are you kidding??? This thread is averaging about 10 pages every 36 hours. I have trouble keeping up! On the weekends I do not read the Dis and it takes until Tuesday to get caught up again.

At this rate - we will be on section 5 before we cruise :woohoo:

As far as packing? I have the Fantasy Maiden in a little over a week - I figure I will take everything out, wash and simply repack it!! Add one dress and I should be good to go. One checked bag, and one carryon (I hope). It NEVER works out easily, but I will try.

The last time I did a long stretch (32 day trip) It cost me a fortune in luggage overage (second bag and THREE shipped boxes home). I am hoping this time to NOT have that much coming home. (I am shipping from USPS in Hawaii!)

Ok. Here I go again being in the minority. Christian is by far my absolute favorite CD. I like Brent the least because he lied right to my face and I will not tolerate that and boy did DCL hear about it. As for Trent, if it the same guy from down under, I really like him too. I remember one night on the 08 WBPC cruise he stayed out talking with my friends and I till 3:30-4:00 in the morning and was great, and hilarious. As for water. Just so you know the tap from the ship is probably the purest water out there since it just whent through the desalanzation process. I will never buy bottled water on the ship. This is just me.

:thumbsup2. You got it Paula, cough, ahem, cough, ahem. Lol but even that was better than the cough drop sucking pilot on the PC. I tuned out after the first 5 min. Lol.

As for the water, no problems either. I feel bad for the cm trying to sell water packages cause I just look at him and want to say, are you kidding. I just use the water from the ice. Save some bottles and refill for excursion days. Now I have my refillable bottle I take to the gym so will just take that

And yes Paula, he was so young. :grouphug:

I have been impressed with Vistaprint, the shirts are perfect for one use or two uses. And I have ordered other things and they have turend out great!

Since Disney has had limited post cards in the past, I ordered some note cards with one of the fabulous logos posted here....They will be perfect for writing my sea travel updates to relatives...quite nice as well....

I may have found some of the pins we will be offerred, although one is missing

Aloha Kakahiaka - Enjoy the Fantasy. We are challenged with the bags this time....we normally drive. Hence I will "test pack" the suitcases. Put everything in, weigh and take 1/3 of the stuff out......

Val you have seen almost all the pins. There is six port pins all LE 1000. There are two logo pins that are LE 2500. I did not post this info cause the distribution prosses has not been released yet. I like to post all the info at one time.

Note to new cruisers on saving water bottles for future use, HIDE THEM. We left ours out and our very attentive stateroom host tied up and no more bottles so now we hide them. Not a biggie but we were rushing to a shore excursion at the time.

You would think I would learn, last cruise another very attentive stateroom host tossed the protective wrapping from my hair clips....along with a souvenir label I had painstakingly soaked off a bottle. But these are the things that make memories perhaps better than if I had the label for the scrapbook.....

Hi everyone. First, I want to reassure everyone that if you requested a room at the Doubletree San Pedro, I have you on MY list.:yay: For those who called the DoubleTree about your reservation don't worry that they didn't have you listed as you aren't in their system yet. I signed a contract with them months ago and I gave them MY credit card to guarantee that these rooms would be held, and they are. I asked everyone that contacted me for your full names and whether you wanted 1 king size bed in your room or 2 beds in your room. I have the list. Since then, I have been getting PM's about people still wanting to join us, hence my inbox is full. What's next? I decided rather than to keep sending lists everytime someone wants to party with us that I would wait and send the list in on Sunday. So for anyone else who wants to stay at the DoubleTree prior to our WONDERful cruise, please email me your name, address, bed type, and date of arrival to
Bweiss923@aol.com . Along with your information I need your credit card # to guarantee your room and you will be charged if not cancelled within the cancellation period. Upon receiving the information and credit card number, they will then enter your information into their system and you will be given a reservation #. So please email all your info to me at
Bweiss923@aol.com I need this by Sunday 3/25. Thanks. Don't forget about our "Minnie" Dis Meet in the lobby area near the bar at 8 pm on 4/28.

Bev :)

I am re-posting this for those who may not have seen this. :surfweb: Thank you to those who responded so quickly. Anyone still needing a reservation at the Doubletree San Pedro, please send me an email to bweiss923@aol.com with all of your information. Can't wait to see everyone. party::cheer2::cheer2::drinking1 Don't forget about our "Minnie" Dis Meet at the Doubletree at 8 pm on the 28th. :chat::grouphug:

If anyone is looking at making CD's or coasters or looking for labels for their FE, Candy Swap, etc., My Own Labels has a deal on Groupon today, I found it under Honolulu in case you don't see it! Saw some great little items!

yes, on the Fantasy we kept our water bottles and the water bottles with our vodka in them up on a shelf, by the ice bucket. I think our room steward figured out they were special. On other cruises we have been even more careful, by putting them in the fridge, or in a drawer, especially when they are empty, so we can refill them.

Let me know what you think of the earrings after you wear them. I love them but I was wonding if the backs were to long ? :confused3 These are the only kind of earrings that I have so I may need to get used to them or I was thinking with your handy tools might be easier to snip a little bit off ? :confused3

Thanks for sharing. :thumbsup2 Just learned something new. :)

I always bend in the ends of fish hook earrings so that they do not poke behind my ear, the longer they are, the better they will stay in your ear.

We will be doing the same, unpacking, washing, repacking. Guess I might see you in the laundry room on the cruise?!

Corrina- I don't know if you need this infro or not but I am able to do more FE groups. I was in 2,7, and 9 and because some people were in more than one group I was able to do groups 4 and 6. I also did a little something for all the kids no matter what group they were in.

Still waiting for a room for mermailloving

Does anyone know a good place for surfing lessons near the port in Maui?

Kanaha Beach is near Kahului Harbor where we will dock. You might want to check out Action Sports in Maui. I think they give lessons at Kanaha Beach.

vista is having another sale - no upload charge and half price for tee-shirts

Corinna posted on Facebook an interesting conversation with DCL. I hope she posts it here. Val

I saw the LE amounts too. I think this is terrible. The pins state only the year, 2012, meaning they could be used on both cruises. Why would they limit them to 1,000? No matter how they do it, there are going to be disappointed people. I wonder if they want all the complaints and talk - gets people interested - "I have to be able to say I got one". This cruise was expensive enough that they could have hired one person just to manage the special products, so if they state there was no way they could "manage" a detailed distribution they are either not being truthful or are just stupid. They could have hired me, or a million other people, who could have managed it.
