Ahhh what a day! So I call DCL and I'm on hold for quite a bit... even on the Castaway Club line... I finally get a CM and ask her my questions about the Disney transfers to LAX after the cruise. She pulls up my reservation and immediately tells me she can't help me since I booked the cruise thru DVC. I have to call DVC.... SOOOOO... I call DVC... am on hold for quite a while... and when I get a CM and go thru my whole line... she tells me she has to put me on hold and get DCL on the line.... I really wish it would have been the CM I got thru DCL the first time..
Anyway... I had to talk to DCL in the end anyway... so why did I have to go thru DVC so she could connect me to DCL???
Sorry... just had to vent!!

We are currently renovating our new house, and I mean RENOVATING!!
The entire roof is coming off, and will be left off for a few days until new roof trusses and a new roof goes on, We are building on 2 rooms and a bathroom, renovating the existing ones, and pulling out the staircase for a new one. Which brings me to my latest dilemma, the builders just told me they are pulling down the staircase tomorrow, so anything I want from upstairs (all the bedrooms and ensuites) has to be down by tomorrow as I won't be able to get to them!! All this while trying to pack, look after a baby, 2 kids at school, run a business, blah blah blah......

So, If I'm not around much, you know why, If anyone needs anything, please PM me, I check them as much as I can.

I have been....and ended up on someone else's user name, not even close to mine?????????

I haven't had any trouble logging in, but everytime I leave the page I am reading, it asks me to log in again. I didn't used to have to do this.

Hello all.....want to thank you all for your good wishes and advice for DW regarding the knee replacement. She will be making the arrangements next Tuesday so it will be relatively soon after our cruise. Thanks again!

Our next cruise is the one out of New York on September 12th....and we do not have to fly to get the ship--just a quick car ride.

Nup, no timeline, working around the wild weather, when the storms roll in they move the work inside. The rain won't let up so they are doing more inside than planned, stairs were meant to be done while we are overseas, but.... Thank goodness they are waiting to pull the roof off until we leave!
We did tell them to just do everything ASAP and we will work around them, can't complain too much, I just want it finished YESTERDAY!!!!!

Rant away, you EARNED it! You , Madame, are either one BRAVE or one CRAZY woman! Maybe they can put you up a ladder - I mean you still have to pack, right? Or you could move to the Residence inn for a couple days? Or leave for California a week early?

Aloha Kakaheika - Good Morning All.....we did our test pack yesterday and are still speaking to each other, I hate packing.....but decided that with the wetsuits and masks, fins...we will just take three bags. Much easier and don't have to worry about the 50 pound issue. Discovered a few gliches and items that needed washing. Now I just have to remember how it all fits so that I can do it again to pack for real and then when we leave the ship sad1 Not thinking about that. Decided not to haul a carry-on through the airport and ship. That is our third piece (but we made it the size larger than the carry on as it is being checked). So, what did we forget to pack?

The CAT....he wants to go. He kept crawling inside the luggage. As of now, he was not zipped up when I moved the cases off the bed, but he thinks he belongs inside them.....

Can't believe we are getting so close. I am still working on finishing up the scrapbooks. Hoping to have everything compiled and in boxes by Saturday and then I can start working on page by page instructions for the books.

Once I get everything into boxes, I think I will be able to see daylight in my living room, kitchen and dining room again.

Now, just to fit all the boxes and luggage into my car! That will be the trick.......

Oh my, and here I am concerned about luggage....Looking forward to the scrapbooking, seeing everyone and the trip.....

Adopted brother is coming into town to house sit. At least he has a big car!!!!

Help! I just called to re-confirm my car rental in Hawaii and the Budget rental I have for Honolulu, that had said they had a shuttle, does not operate a shuttle except from airport to where their cars are parked. So I would have to get my own transportation from ship to airport them to car lot and we have reservation at Aulani at 9:30 am. Now I need to find another car rental at a decent price...or at least find out how much cab would cost. There are 4 of us and a wheelchair so I am really not a happy camper right now!

Has anyone else done a rental car for there?

We did - but decided to take public transports or taxis as we are staying near the port area......I had googled and found a cruise website with which shuttles come into port, which ones you need to call etc. I am a bit worried about this being Disney's first trip to make sure about shuttles. some other, not shuttle, tours had said that a cruise ship did not dock the dates I gave them and I had to explain it was the Wonder. etc. I still have to sort out the rental cars for the other three islands...

I rented thru Thrifty in all our ports and they claim to have a shuttle at each one.... Maybe I better call and confirm.... but it said the shuttle would automatically be dispatched to the port on days when ships were in.

And I thought I was told to call when we got into port for Thrifty (or was 30 minutes out) to confirm.

Hum.....I had the same call....but when I call DVC they made the transfers. I think I need to verify that I have confirmation. I know I was charged.

Well, yeah, I understand that! We are having a house built. They poured the slab yesterday.....it is so exciting to go to the site everyday to see what else they've done.

They'll be doing so much while we are cruising.....we asked our next door neighbors to take photos every day for us, because we'll miss a lot!

We close on June 13. Can't wait to move in to the new house!

really? hmmmm they told me differently... well, I'll just have to call back and talk to someone else. sheesh!!

We have a 12:10 p.m. flight out of LAX. DCL told us that taking DCL transportation would be fine as the ship will be in port by no later than 7:00 a.m. We were told that the only issue may be luggage - because of the timing, we may wish to carry off our own luggage and go to the bus, as opposed to leaving it outside of our stateroom and then reclaiming it after customs - we were told to double-check with Guest Services after we are on board.

In any event, it's entirely too depressing talking about the END of this cruise before it even begins!!

there IS an FE list of latecomers, but no guarentees if or how much you will receive since the groups of 25 have been arranged weeks ago. I know I'm giving to all the cabins that were on the original list (90+) but all my extras have now been alloted.

I remember seeing photos of a friend who did a high country winery (I've messaged her on facebook to find out which one) and also did some ATV rides. If your helmets do not have full face guards...take some wet wipes 'cause her dirty-face photos were hysterical
