On our Med cruise in 2010, they tried to upgrade us and my poor travel agent had to convince DCL to return us to our booked category. Since then we have had a "Do not upgrade" on our reservations.

Us too.....we request 5122 (and try to get it before Bev does....hahaha) and we DO NOT want to upgrade.....we want that room. We tried a Cat 3 once and decided that it's not for us. We're happy in our favorite stateroom. For this trip we're in 5124. The moved us out of 5122 and didn't tell us why. They just said that the room is going to remain empty on this cruise.

Good try Jan, that's what I did....but it didn't work for me. I think the DIS needs to reboot and that may fix it. But for now, unless it changes, I'm stuck with black type only.

Let's see if just typing in the code for color works. This statement "should" be red.

Received my last clothes order yesterday. The shoes (lime green!) were too big, so I quick got on line and ordered a smaller pair. We'll let the returns sort themselves out while I'm gone.

Today it's supposed to be in the 70's. That means yard work. . . and ICE CREAM!

I see that I am very, very late to this party, but I'm going to be on board too. I hope I'm not too late to join in the fun!

I see there are scrapbookers on board, but are there any knitters? Or am I the only person who thinks tropical weather and crafts involving wool sound like a good idea?

My only contribution to knitting is the part where you pull all the yarn out of the stitches and start over because the knitter (not you) has dropped a stitch rows back.

Yay Debbie - thanks for posting this. The Dream MV was the reason I didn't do the Fantasy (among other reasons) but I was so turned off by the stampede on the Dream and I swore I would NEVER do another MV again. The people were horrendous and I was the one that had a DB purse swiped right out from under me at the counter AND IT WAS PAID FOR. Witches - they were ridiculous. I hope whoever took it that the bag ripped or was stolen. Yes! It was that horrible. I also was one that didn't get a glass flute while others walked around with CASES - and I mean CASES of empty glasses which I thought was terribly tacky Come on, have some tack. Anyway, so happy to hear that they may have fixed the problem but of course, this is the West Coast and they tend to do things 1/2 backwards. I thnk this may be a game of wait and scream. Fingers crossed though.

Ya, we didn't take the Fantasy MV because of the experience on the Dream. We loved the ship, we had no complaints other than the shopping experience. People were crazy. We scored a flute but our stateroom host either wanted one or realized that it was dirty and took it. We did a B2B and were standing in the atrium to say goodbye to our friends and observed all those cases of flutes being hauled off. It DID make me angry since I knew not all people got them.

I have just returned from a 14 day WDW/Fantasy Maiden cruise....

What a WONDER(FUL), MAGIC(AL), DREAM(Y), FANTASY fulfilling vacation!!!

My amazing girlfriend (Halloween_gryl) managed to fill the room at Saratoga with balloons just before we sailed on the Fantasy and she propsed to me!!!! We are engaged!!! I AM SO HAPPY!!!

ok - back to inside voice....I also proposed to her while on the cruise - we had decided months ago that we both should propose - there are no rules for same gender couples so we are making it up as we go...and loving it!


now I have to leave her for 15 days for this amazing trip...we will be so sad to be apart, but are now SO excited to be planning our wedding!!!

(now I have to read almost 3 weeks of this thread....you guys have been pretty busy I am sure!!)

CONGRATULATIONS!!

I've been MIA for awhile. I live in Denver and we are in Cleveland right now getting help with my grandson's epilepsy. He has had it for 4 years and is still not under control. He has Doose Syndrome, one of the hardest to get under control. Rainbow Babies Hospital and the neurologists are awesome here. They are keeping us longer than expected so we may just leave here just in time to leave for the cruise.

WOW....all those sea days and every venue is full. That's incredible. The Promenade Lounge works for me. It's one of my favorites.

I spoke with Dorothy on Monday and she explained all the venues are not necessarily full, it is just that the CD's dept on board has told the Special Requests dept to close their scheduling. She explained that right at that time, the Cadillac was available the same time the Champagne Girls event was being held but she could not assign it anyone because the ship had told her "no more special requests can be scheduled".

With all the activities planned we will need a vacation to rest from the cruise.
It is a very gloomy day here in FL hope it clears up this afternoon.Started to get clothes ready and since we are not doing the vow renewel I have decided not to take the new long dress but go with another one. I know I will be taking too many clothes.

Nope still not working. About two weeks ago they opened a ticket for me. Still not working. If it is not working by next Wed 4/25 I will just call and cancel my Maui tours.

Hmmm...try a different browser? At least your signature is still bright & colorful!! I have been pretty lazy about using the colors on here...must have used up my colorful expression reserves on the wild vintage Hawaiian dresses I've been finding on ebay..

That makes sense - they may need the venues themselves!! On the TAs they had a DCL-sponsored tasting (or TWO) every single sea day!!!!!

Well, as long as they have the 'you on the boat' part of the reservation under control, it will be okay!! It is frustrating though, I know, and I had to call last month to cancel my Maui thing because it would not give me that option online at all. ...Painful to listen to the recording telling me to go to the web site to handle my planning, and then get the same long speal from the dude on the phone... all before I get to tell them I would LOVE to handle it myself online...if it only worked!

Hi everybody! I just wanted to stop by and say Thank You again to Ellaenchanted for helping me get started on organizing the first Pink Champagne Girls meet on the Fantasy Maiden Voyage. We had a blast! Our tasting was at Ooh La La and our sommelier was George. We were given initially 4 different champagnes to taste. Then at the end we got a surprise and were given a champagne cocktail that George our sommelier created for us. It was made with the Signature Taittinger Nocturne champagne created for Ooh La La, frangelico and creme de cacao served along with various flavors of panna cotta. Afterwards, I had organized a group picture through Shutters and DCL for us. They guys that attended didn't seem to mind wearing pink and we all thought they looked quite dashing in their feather boas and tiaras
