Now we have two formals? IS this official now? I thought we have 1 formal and two semi-formal.....I'm just confused I guess....

From the info I have, which I do apologize I can not post, yes the above is correct. 2 formal and 1 semi formal.

Third time is the charm, either user error or updating the boards....

Word of the Day = LAULEA (with the accent over the e).

I am not drinking Kona Brewing Company products.

I am doing research......:beach:

Oh lookie all the icons have been revised.

This little guy is back:wave2: I like him....I had to memorize his shortcut.

So what have you all been up to....??????

I have read where many of you had made brunch reservations at Palo. Then a number of you put together 'special groups', and you will utilize the private room for your brunch. Those who had individual brunch reservations and have now converted to a group reservation, should that not now 'free up' some individaul brunch reservations?

I have been checking numerous times a day and never see any openings. Either I others are getting the openings or DCL has not offered the openings. Any thoughts would be appreciated. If all else fails, I will be one of those in line at the Palo Desk, day one.

I was GOLD when ressies opened and was never able to snag a Palo brunch so I too have been checking back. I am one of those who are on a special group but I never had a ressie before the special group. I can only say to check when you get on board. I'd love to have two Palo brunch. When we did the PC, we tried to get two brunches and put in our name for wait listing but no such luck. We may try for two Palo dinners....we will see. And we do not have tea ressies either. Our Palo dinner is one of the semi-formals - and I'd love to show off the dress to our table mates, assuming they will still be our friends on day 11....;) we will see....

Oh how I can only wish there will be no Pirate night. Anyway, there are two formal's one on April 30 and the other is May 9. There is one Semi Formal and that is May 12. The pirate night is May 11.

No like the pirates? surely you :joker:

I do recall on one of my longer cruises, DCL 'forgot' to cancel the individual Palo reservations. I think it was actually deliberate as there were so many sea days. ( I also could be mis-remembering and it was dinners not brunches that this happened for).

Perhaps someone who is in one of the groups can check and see if their activities still show their individual Palo brunch.

.

As I said, never had one to cancel and lots of folks signed up for the groups because of this...

Well I knew it would happen...they kicked us off the Wonder and out of our beautiful suite this morning! What a strange feeling though knowing that I'll be getting back on in 2 weeks! I guess I need to start unpacking ASAP so that I can do wash and repack!!

I was told our Hawaii cruise has about 2000 guests and of those guests, only 190 are kids! That is going to be one crowded adult pool! LOL As soon as we left Cabo on Fri, the wind picked up and it was COLD! The sun was shining but it was too cold to sit outside and read. I hope that isn't the case during all of our sea days. I was hoping to run into Captain Fabian again (he will be our Captain too) and ask him what he thought the seas would be like but didn't see him again.

No way, only 190 kids? That is far less than west bound PC...Maybe we adults can take over the kids clugs....:clown:

Now we have two formals? IS this official now? I thought we have 1 formal and two semi-formal.....I'm just confused I guess....

We have received conflicting information. I called and was told two semis and one formal. No matter, I am packing the same regardless, one gown and two long dresses...Why - because I never get a chance to be pretty and I want to dress up....I know this is not everyone's thing but I would very much like to be a princess.

From the info I have, which I do apologize I can not post, yes the above is correct. 2 formal and 1 semi formal.

Understood. I think we will need to see what they finally come up with and what all these venues are being saved for as well....:artist: Me, I like the cooking events.

So what's everyone doing today - other than waiting for time to pass?

freaking out is how I am about to do...they started fiddling with my daughters meds :stir: again and one of the new ones is causing rapid weight gain :( even when she barely eats...Can't take her off any to try and stop this (if they were sure which one or ones is responsible) or she may not feel up to making trip so this means new clothes at the last minute. She is miserable about it and I am stressed because she isn't able to :drive: anymore so I have to take her shopping once we get final list of necessities and then wash :laundy: and get ready for trip. We had hoped for a much more relaxed week before we leave but not going to happen. When I stress I eat and if I don't watch it I will be wearing a lot of clothes over and over and over because they will be all that fit :rotfl2:

Love our new smiley faces...

Nope not a fan of Pirate night. It is boring and old and needs to be changed. After 10 cruises the only thing I enjoy about it is the 10:30 fireworks (which I watch from deck 4) and the buffet. The dining info I have comes straight from someone who works in celebration and sends me the info straight from their computer. Last update I got was Friday.

I apologize if this question has already been asked, but does anyone know what time the ship is scheduled to leave on the 29th?

Just two more weeks, I can't wait!

Suitcases came out and have started loading.

I'm not receiving any notifications of new post for the last several days. Anyone else having problems?

Dh was working today all day, it was rain day here, so me and kids cleaned their bedroom (yeah I know fun lol) then we played some Wii and read....time for dinner and showers and then kids go to bed and i have some quiet time :)

This is only my second cruise...I could go without it, but I have kids so I like Pirate Night for them :)

5:00 but you need to be on by 4 for the safety drill.

You could probably do Cadillac Lounge in the afternoon also. This is not a huge group and there are usually not many people in Cadillac in the afternoon. But, Promenade would be a great place also.

I know this is often used for tastings. I can check this out before I come and if it is not used, we can just move after meeting in the Promenade Lounge.

How big a Whiteboard do you think I should get?

PS - does anyone's mascot still need clothes? A 'fairy godmother' has volunteered (not me).

I think a letter paper sized white board would do nicely.

I have a girly bunny who jealously eyes my shirts and would love one of her own. She was sorely tempted as I have been wearing my shirts all weekend.

Hi everybody! I just wanted to stop by and say Thank You :worship: again to Ellaenchanted for helping me get started on organizing the first Pink Champagne Girls meet on the Fantasy Maiden Voyage. We had a blast! Our tasting was at Ooh La La and our sommelier was George. We were given initially 4 different champagnes to taste. Then at the end we got a surprise and were given a champagne cocktail that George our sommelier created for us. It was made with the Signature Taittinger Nocturne champagne created for Ooh La La, frangelico and creme de cacao served along with various flavors of panna cotta. Afterwards, I had organized a group picture through Shutters and DCL for us. They guys that attended didn't seem to mind wearing pink and we all thought they looked quite dashing in their feather boas and tiaras :rotfl:

That sounds absolutely fantastic. I glad you had a wonderful time.

That sounds so good. Time to think about packing.
But, I just un-packed. :)

I thought I read where there is NO Pirate Night. Is that right?
2 Formal and 1 semi-formal nights?

Whatever is the case, looking forward to this cruise.
Also looking forward to seeing friends new and OLD.;)

I don't care about the party, but I am hoping that we have a Pirate night. It has become a bit of a tradition to do and win the Pirate Trivia and I love all the photo ops. I even got a new pirate outfit last cruise and never got to wear it as my excursion overran quite spectacularly and I missed both.

The numbers are about the same as we had on the WBTA in 2010 and the PC last year.

I wonder what has happened to Captain Thord. In January Captain Fabian told a friend of mine that Captain Thord would do the Hawaii cruise. I wonder if he has gone back to the Magic.

Corinna posted on Facebook that she has updated her FE lists. Thanks for all the hard work. Is there anyway we can get Corinna's FE lists on page one of this thread? It would be really great to be able to access her updates without searching the pages for it. Thanks Val

Thanks for posting this. Between internet problems my end, the DIS being down and me being on late shifts I have not been able to post here. I will post the links once more tomorrow.

So what's everyone doing today - other than waiting for time to pass?

I worked my last weekend shift before the cruise and it was pretty productive.

From the info I have, which I do apologize I can not post, yes the above is correct. 2 formal and 1 semi formal.

Thanks for sharing.

I am still living in hope that I will get a Brunch for Graham and me. I am doing a group Brunch, but this is not Graham's thing. We have one Palo dinner booked for the night we are in Honolulu, but I am hoping to change this to Pirate night or better still, book a second one.

This is only my second Disney Cruise, DISboards style, please remind me. Is there some sort of gift exchange happening at the roll call meet on board on the first day? If I remember correctly, it was supposed to be a gift representing the area/state we live in?

The Navigator is nearly complete and it looks great. I need to do some final checks on the staterooms for the Fish Extender exchange and then this is pretty much done. I am also still waiting on a write up for one activity. This is hopefully going for proof-reading on Monday and then onwards to have the final graphics added before it is sent of to John (Noel’s husband), who will format this for us in booklet format. I wanted to use this to say a big thank you to people who have offered to organize activities and contributed information to the Navigator. I know that sometimes I have been a hard task master. A special shout out goes to Joanne (Boosgram), who has collated information about Pre- and Post-cruise stays, celebrations and allergies. She put together some Hawaiian vocabulary and also is proof-reading the document and Angel (Serbian Princess), who has contributed on the graphic side of the Navigator and also helped with the general formatting. A big thank you to the two of you. I could not have done it without you.

YAY!!!!!!!!! Terrie, thanks so much for updating us and sending the picture. I'm so happy for you that your first Champagne Girls tasting was a smash!! We're doing ours at Studio Sea on Thurs 5/3. So check here for our pictures. I'll post some. We have 86 ladies total. We'll order two cases of champagne from DCL. We'll have a sommelier and we have three men wearing pink and pouring for us. I'm really looking forward to this one. We're wearing pink leis and pink flowers in our hair because we're going to Hawaii.

thanks for the update on the computer information. You woukd think we would be all told the same information, oh well....As I selected our Palo night before knowing, I will be dressed fancy when the rest of the ship is formal. that will work nice.....lots of special photo backdrops that night...

We like Pirate night on longer cruises...our last was a short three night....no special menu, no dining fun. I had pretty mich decided not to take the costumes, now DH is having second thoughts.....Oh well...
