We are back from the Fantasy as well. It was a great time. Candida picked up a bug on the ship which hit her as soon as we got off the plane. But, after reading other posts by those on FB it got alot of people. Hopefully, we don't have this on the Wonder.

Now to focus on this cruise.

Jon

Welcome back, Jon. Sorry Candida got the bug. :headache: I did read from several that they got it too. Plenty of time for her to recover though. NO BUGS allowed on this cruise. It's the rule! Can't wait to see you two again :hug:and hear about the Fantasy.

Does anyone know if this information is available pre-cruise? I'm sure DCL doesn't publish it, but will they spill the beans if we call? And who would we call? And should we believe what they tell us, haha!

I've called one other time to find out my dining rotation - waited right up until a few days before sailing - and they refused to tell me though others on the cruise had been told. So I don't know if it's the luck-of-the-draw with the CMs or if I'd called the wrong person.

Maybe I'm over thinking, planning, and stressing but I need to change my Palo reservations and won't know when I want until I know what's going on in the MDR - not only the "theme nights" but the regular rotational menus. There are a couple we really don't care for and I'd rather have alternate plans. And I'd rather not hold up the Palo line for too long, trying to figure out what's what.

Any past history we could use for educated guesses?

I'm curious about the movies/shows too but will wait until onboard for those, haha!

Glad you had a great time on the MV, Alex! Hope to share some bread with you on this trip. :lmao::lmao::lmao: Or should I say I hope you share some bread with us??:rotfl2:
It's interesting you would mention the bread, we were talking about that with our tablemates on the Fantasy cruise! Alex

Catching up and decided to try to learn how to use multi-quotes at the same time so I could catch up by subject, ie the weather.

I find the Pacific cold. I also find Hawaii colder than Florida, so I will be the one in the sweater and with the dive jacket over the gown on the first night of the cruise. :cutie:

The year we did the Pannama Canal trip we came up the coast to LA in early May. The last day at sea was as cold as I ever been on the ship. They were handing blankets out at the pool.

I think the Pacific Ocean is cold and if we have winds it keeps it chilly. I am expecting to be bunded up at the pool the first day, but after that it will only get better. I hope I am wrong about the first day and it is 80 and sunny.

Me too, there is a time when being wrong is nice. :goodvibes

We had big, floaty flakes of snow all day yesterday. It was not cold enough for them to "stick" though. Today we are back to sunshine and should be warming into the 60s by tomorrow. We are looking forward to Hawaii for sure!!

Spring is here, flowers are busting into bud and it is pretty. This morning ig was very cool. And it will be very cool on Friday (64)..yes, that is cool.

YES! It was COLD that trip! Even in LA which really surprised me! But this year we will have jackets and stuff because we heard it can be chilly and rainy in the mountains of Hawaii (the volcanoes national park and stuff like that)

Panchos...much pack the panchos......

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!
****************
Wind is blowing a gale here - no yard work today, I guess. The leaves would blow away as fast as we raked them up. I'm SURE I'll find something to do though:laughing:

Lots to do in the garden as well before we leave, or is that leaf? But alas, I am afraid I will not have enough time.

Welcome Home for all the folks on the FANTASY. I cannot wait to hear stories about the Maiden, around the pool, with a cold drink, in about two - three weeks time..........:goodvibes

:scared1:Yikes, sorry about that I have not been on the main boards for a while. I hope she is all better now.

Just got back yesterday from the Fantasy!! What a wonderful cruise-DCL learned so much from the Dream MV! not much time, but wanted to post the group pic of the Pink Champage Girls from the MV. My oldest got a fever the last night of the cruise, feeling better now since I found our emergency antibiotics for him-actually wanted food tonight. The youngest has been battling upper respiratory the last 2 nites of the cruise, giving him nebulizer treatments. DH is now laid up in bed hacking away!! Now my middle son has a fever and not wanting to do his homework. Looks like it's making it's way around. I do not have time to get sick. I have another cruise to get ready for.
Sorry if this comes out really big, just scanned the 8x10 photo. Shutters had given it to me as part of my portfolio. I purchased the special they had going on. $350 for the CD and for $50 more one complete set of all pics they took of us with the borders. So took advantage of that deal!! I got this because I booked thru AAA and was given a photo package for each cabin (2 8x10's and 4 6x8's $100 value). Shutters was able to just give me a $200 credit for the CD and photos. They take pics on the Aquaduck of the Fantasy. Alot of kinks to work out, but we managed to get a couple of ours.

Thanks for sharing....great photo and a pricess as well.....:goodvibes

We just arrived home from the Maiden voyage of the Fantasy. Everyone we spoke with like the Fantasy better than the Dream. Several nice changes were made from the Dream. On the Fantasy the soda/coffee station are midship rather than by Cabanas. A water feature called AquaLab is behind the stack the AquaDuck is in which is the "lab" Donalds nephews created the AquaDuck with water spraying all over. The adult night club area is very different and much nicer. With an international theme there are bars with Italian (LaPiazza), Irish (O'Gills), French (OohLaLa) and British (The Tube) the main area with dance floor, etc. All are beautifly decorated. The Sky Line area has some great changes as well. The detective game has a Muppet game to find missing props and features Pepe (the shrimp) with his own door on the ship (cabin 5148 1/2) which has a very small door. Animator's Palate has an interactive presentation where guests draw a person on a special page and the computer make the pictures come alive on the screens. Everything about this cruise was fantastic.
But now we need to concentrate on the Hawaai Cruise! Alex

I wanna go....well maybe not for a while, but I do want to go.....Thanks for the update.

YUP, you are. LOTS of nights for Palo, don't worry about it!

On both the PC and the TA we got a sheet the first day with all the nights listed including the theme, dress and show.

Another sheet with the movie schedule.

Some of the "menus" from regular theme dinners I don't care for - but was surprised to find I enjoyed them all - were they changed? Couldn't say.

Imo, you cannot predict the order of play based on past experience. This is the first time with this itinerary. Even though the PC and the TA were both 14-15 days, they were vastly different.

I know the dates for formal and semiformal nights have been posted on this thread somewhere before but it would be nice to know ahead of booking Palo reservations what events are not to be missed in the main dining rooms.

With what little is known, would love to here from those who have done the TA & PC cruises about how they have planned in the past.

Ron

Welcome back to the people that were on the Fantasy. Sorry to hear that some people got sick. We are going in Dec, so we will be anxious to hear all about it.

This is just a testing the waters at this point to see how much interest there is and I cannot promise that I can make this work. If the interest is there, I will try to make this happen.

Some people suggested that we could have a mascot meet on the cruise. How many people would be interested in this? As the sea days going to Hawaii now look pretty busy, we could have this on the way back.

Corinna

I know that I offered a while ago to convert Hokey Donuts charms into charms or swap out ear wires. Now that the cruise is getting closer, I just wonder how many people would need either so that I can bring the right number of supplies. Can you please send me a PM or message to let me know if you would like to have either done for your earrings?

Corinna

Some people bought shirts, some people orders just fabric to do other thinks then shirts....like me....I bought shirts for me and DH, but couldn't get shirts in kids size.....here is what my friend made for my kids...

how cute! I love the ribbon down the front!

Wow, looking at the weather forcast in LA for the next 10 days! All I can think is that I hope it WARMS up by the time we get there!

Sorry Roy....every hostess of the Champagne Girls does it their own way. Their format was way way different from ours. Since I am hosting and I'm a co-original champagne girl, I get to make the rules. For Ladies Only at our event. The only men attending will be working by pouring the champagne for us or by being the sommelier.

On the first Champagne Girls event.....the men had a Lost Beer Boys event. You could do that!

Bob asked me about the guys getting together too. Is the card game off? Is there interest in the guys getting together at the same time? Would they want a private tasting? Maybe the Cadallac is available at the same time. Don't have much time, but if there is interest, I could call. How about an optional Hawaiian Shirt Contest and tasting? Perhaps at the end we could all meet in the lobby for pictures - Both groups separate and together? Don't know if there is any interest but willing to see.

Val & Bob

As far as I know the card game is on, but with the kid's club hours being so erratic at the moment, some people have asked that they are not at the same time as this would mean that one parent may have to watch the kids.

These are the people that I have not heard from and have no payment from therefore I cannot let them attend the Champagne Girls event. This will be my last attempt to contact them.

That's 8 people and just 5 disers. As of right now we're at 90 people....we can have up to 95, but I wouldn't mind stopping right there.

on our own. There is a group Luau still happening, but I don't remember who is organizing that. Someone will help figure it out though.

Sounds like good friends to me. We had a pet chicken once and she was among my favorites of pets we've ever had. :lovestruc

At one point while living here we had little baby chicks....I called them peeps....they grew up to be hens and roosters. We had a whole flock of them and a chicken coup oustide to keep them in. We had fresh eggs everyday. I loved having chickies.

Now we just have a dog, a cat and 5 turtles.

DIsneyland Pre-Cruise Meet

OK I'll take the bull by the horns here

Currently planned for for 7:30 - 8:30 pm Saturday April 28 by the fireplace in the Grand Californian Lobby -

To attend: please pm your cell phone number nlt Saturday 4/28 at 6 am with DL Meet in the subject line and I will then give you mine - I don't want to just post it on the public forum. If the timing doesn't work for those who sign up, we will come to a new agreement.

If you plan to show up without pm-ing first - we may not be there.

When my kids were little we had a coop of chickens, rabbits in a hutch, 2 ducks roaming free (except for fenced off vegetable garden that was bigger than my 2 car garage and a dog and 2 cats. I now have a 5'-6' patch of grass around this house with 2 cats and 2 small dogs. Miss the small farm critters...
