First you have to sign in with your reservation number. When you get to the day by day activities click on a day and tell it to add activities. Look for Palo on that day, if none are available, click in the top left corner that says look for another day. Then look all the way left before the first day and it will ask you to look for everyday. Click on that. Good Luck!

Thanks so much, Deb! What a time saver! I didn't find a brunch spot but that's ok... I've already got one, I was just hoping to switch days. This way will make it much easier to check every now and then.

debg

You don't have to look at every day. There is one choice that offers Palo anything on anyday and you click that. It looks for everything available at Palo for each day of the cruise in one click. Then everything that's available comes up.
Oh that is awesome! :thumbsup2 Thanks so much for this. Not that they have any brunch or tea's :lmao:, but it makes frequent checking SO much easier! Thanks again!

We booked DCL transfers from DL to the Port. We are staying at a the Candy Cane Inn, which is a good neighbor. DCL will not pick us up there, we have to get a cab or walk from CCI to GC to catch the DCL bus..

Has anyone done this before? My father and I were thinking of staying at CCI prior to the cruise, but I would really like to be able to take Disney transfers to the port. Would it be easy to get a cab between CCI and the GC to pick up the Disney transfer or would we be better to try to arrange something independently?:confused3

I know you are not the only cabin with unrelated folks sharing - maybe there could be a note of some kind on the FE list to highlight these cabins so those of us who normally would give 1 gift per cabin would know that those cabins need 2?

We always pack a corkscrew, just in case.

Val - the fabric is beautiful! Thanks so much for all your work on this!

The 66 cabins is actually counting the unrelated ones twice, but yes I will put on list, same cabin but 2 different people so no one is left out!

We are also staying at the CCI..You can take Disney transportation, but you have to catch it from one of the Disney hotels. We are going to take a cab from CCI to the GC and grab the DCL bus there. I think it's only like a half mile betweent the CCI and the GC. Hope this helps!;)
And then as read your question again, I understand that I just said exactly what you said.

Thank you for saying something, I went to look at what they had and was able to pick up a Palo brunch.

Guess it does pay to check back once in a while to see what has changed.

It sure does pay to check. I read this post as well, and I checked for Palo High Tea...wouldn't you know...I was able to book my DH and I for 3pm on our first sea day on the way back. Woohoo! Soo excited, this was the one thing that I wanted to do but couldn't book.

Lissa

Congratulations on getting Brunch/ Tea. When I went online at about 1:00 AM my time, all that was available was dinner so I grabbed a dinner reservation for 8:30 on the Oahu day.

Medical update. My cat scan was normal so the gland is not enlarged.Have not noticed any improvement yet in my eyes but was told it may take a couple of weeks.I sure hope so

That is great news. Let's home that the medication will start working soon.

I am officially PIF. Now we have to make up our minds about the excursions. I am hoping to get DH to sit down with me later to sort this out. All the ones that he was interested in are showing as sold out, but he only has himself to blame for wanting to wait until the last minute to pay.

They are pretty close to each other. Basically they are on opposite sides of California Adventure. Four right turns and you're there. Right out of CCI onto Harbor, right onto Katella, right onto Disneyland Dr, right into GC.

Looking at how many post on thread 3 now I have a feeling it is only a few days at the most when we have to start a forth thread :) I think it is great we "chat" so much and share knowledge and give support. Can't wait to meet everyone in person...hope lanyards have our Dis name also...may be I need to bring a "cheat sheet" to figure everyone out :rotfl:

Fantastic! Thanks so much. I can't believe I never noticed that before. What a time saver!

If Erik follows his usual routine, the DIS name will be very obvious on the lanyards (and I think most of us need a cheatsheet ;) ).

 If you don't get what you want, bring a list to the ship and go talk to the Excursions Desk crew. :thumbsup2 We wanted a specific snorkeling excursion on one DCL cruise and it always showed sold out. :confused3

On the ship, after the first night's show, the Cruise Director announced that there were a lot of excursions available and named the one we wanted. :yay: I flew down to the Excursion Desk when the show was over and changed our reservation.

Right, we pretty much have our excursions booked. At Hilo, we are now both doing the Adult Only Departure of Volcano National Park Odyssey & Macadamia Nut Factory.

On Maui, we have send a request for a excursion to Hana to the same company that we are doing our excursion on Oahu with. Now we have to wait and see if this can be confirmed:

http://adventuremaui.com/islandtours.htm (first tour)

On Kauai, we have gone with the morning departure for Waimea Canyon – Grand Canyon of the Pacific – Adult Only Departure.

In Ensenada I have decided on Town, Country & Tequila. DH wants to do and independent excursion going kayaking. Again, he is waiting to hear back if this is available.

I think this is a pretty good selection. Depending on when we get back from our excursion on Oahu, we may get tickets for the Hop On Hop Off bus for the afternoon.

DH just asked me if they let you switch excursions once you are on the ship if the one you wanted becomes available. I am actually pretty happy with what we have, but if Tubing the Ditch should become available, then I would prefer doing this over Waimea Canyon.

Unless one had a lot of luggage or small people to herd along, sounds like it is walkable.

Corinna, I know for sure they have in the past. We switched up a couple different excursions in 2008 and neither was because of what we wanted being full - we'd simply changed our minds. That said, the shore excursion dude was quite snippy with us, but didn't hesitate to change things.

We had no trouble in 2006 on a WONDER cruise to Nassau. The best bet is to call DCL and ask but if they tell you NO, then ask at the Excursions Desk anyway. :rotfl: The home office does not always know what is going on with the ship's scheduling.

I think sometimes that happens because the Shore Excursion guy is PMSing. :lmao:

really
I think it is often the result of a previous cruiser who has been a :scared1: problem. I try to use that opportunity to ask the cast member if he or she is having a bad day and usually a verbal  hug leaves them in better shape for the next folks.

however,
I have been known to call a supervisor once I am back in the room and cannot be overheard or leave a less than postive comment on the comment card..... ::yes::

250 pages is the suggested limit and either someone starts us a new thread or the Administrators do. I wonder if we will get that many.

IS anyone planning to send box with FEs or something else to the port? I did it last year in Port Canaveral and had no problems for Port of Los Angeles I didn't read much reviews about that.
