Hi All!

Any news on FE yet? Hope we're still doing 'groups' for the FE. Wanting to get started on them - this set requires some pre-work - we're trying to do 'practical but fun.':goodvibes

We're waiting to hear an update on the fish extender situation, as well. I've already started preparing some of what we'll do with a group of about 25 staterooms in mind (although I could plus or minus a few)...so I really hope that's still the direction we're going!:lmao:

I would also like to know about the FE stuff :) I have not been in a group that splits it up before, and would like to know if it is split into groups if we can have a "do all" we LOVE doing the FE - my daughter LOVES to come back to the room to see whats in the fish - even if it just a handful of candy, or some hairbands or a magnet - so i would like to have "large" group :)
I'm wondering if we have a cutoff date yet? i have decided what i am doing for my FE and am excited to get started but wanted to have an approximate # to start on :)

Thanks!

Andrea

The last time we did it and it was broken into groups, the organizer split people up into stateroom groups of 20-25 cabins each and people had the option to say if they'd like to be in more than one group (so that then they would be giving and receiving to a larger number of cabins). I suppose it's entirely possible that you could ask to be in EVERY group if you were that ambitious! :thumbsup2

I can't remember who was in charge for FE...is this person still on this cruise? But would also like to know what and how we are gonna do this.....

I think it was threebritts (or something close to that)...but she has not been active on this thread in a very very very long time (although I think I did meet her in passing on the repo/Alaska cruise this past April and May). We're getting much closer to our sail date and so I guess I'd suggest that if someone knows how to get in touch with her and ask her if she's still organizing and can give everyone an update, etc., that would be great....otherwise maybe someone else needs to volunteer to help organize it?

Morning everyone! I don't think we have heard back from the poster who originally offered to help set-up the FE and with a little more than 3-months left until we leave, I know that quite a few of us are eager to find out the numbers of guests that will be involved so that we can get started.

If everyone would like, I would be happy to help organize and run the FE for the cruise and could have a new spreadsheet made up so we have a better idea of who is still on this cruise and interested, as well as who would like to do a smaller group and who would like to provide for all.

I hope our CD is Christiaan. He has been CD on our previous Wonder cruises and we love him! He dances!!

Yep, and unless his plans change, he will be there! :thumbsup2

As far as FE's go, we did groups on the Transatlantic. IT was a huge hassle for the girl who arranged them, and it turns out, more than half the participants belonged to all the groups by choice. (6 groups of 25 cabins each only actually were 66 cabins total) Happy Day, all!

I agree that a large group is preferable, and it turns out being simpler, in the long run.....sometimes when we break into smaller groups, like Linda mentioned, it gets confusing to organize because half the group opts to do the large group & be in every sub group, and no one "repeats" anyone else...if that makes sense!! :confused3 So some groups only had a very few additional people added to the same group who opted for doing FEs for everyone. Okay, now I even confused myself :rotfl2:, but the bottom line is, I would like to opt for the whole group too, even if we break it down.

So what is the latest you can get off the ship on last day? :confused3

They start the "warning" for everyone to be off of the ship around 9, but it was repeated a few times & about 9:45 they get really, really serious...lol

I sent threebritts (Heather) a note that she needs to pop in re: FE's. She's been super busy & hasn't been on the laptop in a week.

She's going to try to post something tonight.:goodvibes

Can please one of you great Platinum people check times of these excursions for me?

Honolulu, Oahu - Arizona Memorial & Battleship Missouri (family version)

Kahului, Maui - Atlantis Submarine Adventure

Thank you!

Val, that looks like a HUGE undertaking, for a self made event. I think for us (35 continuous and 42 intermittant years) we do not need to be in Studio Sea north with other couples. They'll bring us some kind of cake at dinner on the day we designated as our anniversary, and that will be sufficient. Thanks for going to all the trouble of scoping it out!

Charlotte and I would be happy to proceed with planning a vow renewal ceremony. My only concern is that those who do participate are pleased with it. To try and achieve that, they would have to be involved in approving the plans and be involved in the decision making as much as they wanted to be. I don't want anyone to be disappointed about something so important. If at least 11 other couples want to participate we will certainly do this. If people will e-mail me at valbob89@aol.com that they are interested I'll send them more info and they can decide if they want to participate. That way people who aren't interested don't have to read about it on the boards.

There is only one time for the Arizona and Missouri. It is 7:30. It has been like that since bookings opened. I did not see the Atlantis Sub on the Maui list. I know it should be there. There are problems still with the Maui list.

We are PIF :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
Thanks TA :love::love:

There is an Atlantis Submarine at Honolulu, 9:45, 10:45, 12:45. Conflicts with the Arizona and Missouri

That was my feeling too, and on the TA I did give to all. - I've done up to 125 staterooms on a 5 day double dip (the "Deb" cruise). I just split the delivery over two days.

I would really prefer a smaller group just for economic reasons. 25 or less I can do a nicer FE than more than that. But if we don't have enough for multiple small groups I will go along with whatever.....

I am having a problem when I respond to a quote in that it does not show it as a quote in yellow, but I am using the quote replay button...hmmmm. My computer and I gave been having "issues" on other sites also, getting close to it's 3rd birthday maybe I have worn it out :confused3. Does anyone else have problems with quote response or is it just me?

Hi OH 6!

Are you able to PM me? I cannot PM yet as i am a rookie here and haven't hit 10 posts yet. We are wondering if you are renting a room at Aulani for the day so that you can use all of it's amenities? What a great idea! Fantastic way to see the resort while we are there. Brilliant. Want to see what the best deals are and who you went through.

Thanks!

Roy

Thank you!

Your welcome. You did make me raise a eyebrow though as you asked for the family one but I did not see two separate ones, just the one. The only adult only one I saw that included Pearl was the Arizona and city tour. If this had a Adult only I would have booked that insted. Not that I have anything agenst kids, just since we don't have any, no need to take space from a family.

Oh my goodness!!! VERY beautiful, Corinna. :worship: I'd like to make these two - especially as the Champagne Girls one would be such a lovely gift for Mandy (UK Angel) who can't make the cruise... :goodvibes

I have added you to my spreadsheet.

Corinna

I did not book any excursions on our first and only cruise so far.. When do you pay for them? Do you pay when you book or when you actually get to the excursion? :confused3

The cost of the excursions is added to your shipboard account. If I am not mistaken, you can change your excursions up to 3 days before sailing...after that..they are set in stone and charged to your account once you are onboard. Your Excursion tickets will be waiting for you in your stateroom.

Super.. Thank you!.. That makes sense!.. I don't get to book until Jan 30th, so I am not in a hurry, but wanted to know how that worked!..

Can you pay for your ship board account with Disney Gift Cards? I have a few that I forgot to take to WDW with me, so I was planning on using them on this cruise!.. :cool1:
