Welcome. Nothing official from DCL but looks like pirate night is the night we are at Hilo.[/QUOTE]

Thank you. I'm glad we're still having pirate night. Will they still call it Pirates in the caribbean? Pirates night is probably my favorite. I'm surprised they wouldn't save the bigger events for days at sea, though.

Pirate night is always a port night just in case something goes wrong with the fireworks. Now myself personaly, I am not of fan of pirate night. It is old and washed up. Also it is the sailaway in pirate costumes for the most part. You will find me at 10;30 on deck 4 to watch the fireworks.

Thanks for the explanation, Alan. I always wondered why they did Pirates on a port night. I am also over it. We've seen it on just about every DCL cruise we've taken.

:cheer2:pixiedust: We were able to finally get a category 6A cabin instead of the 4E we originally had.... The 4E was all that was available when we originally booked and we did not want to miss this cruise. We are still on wait list for a wheelchair accessible, but those are a 6A usually. Anyway we now owe $3000 LESS for our cruise...come on excursions!!!
At least this was cheerful news for my daughter as she struggles recovering from surgery...good news always helps:cheer2:pixiedust:

I am so glad that you managed to get the category you wanted.

Hi everyone,
We've been booked for a while now, but were worried we wouldn't be able to hang onto this cruise. We finally decided that we couldn't pass up on hawaii on DCL. It's been our dream to sail there, how can we pass up on that! Anyway, has there been any info discovered about our cruise that I missed?

Welcome on board.

It took us 7 cruises until we finally made it to Pirate Night and we asked ourselves afterwards why we bothered. I may join you on deck 4 for the fireworks though.

We are preparing for a major snow storm today. It is WAY too early for this stuff. They are saying we might get 12 14"! The leaves are not off the trees yet. Hope we don't have any power outages. It is too cold for that. Everyone in the northeast - hope all goes well for you.

I hope they've overestimated what you get. It can get pretty bad when the trees still have leaves on them. One year when we lived in upstate NY, we had an ice storm in October and we lost power for 5 days.

Oh my goodness! Well, hopefully the weather dudes have miscalculated. I don't know how many in this group are in the path of the storm so I'm sending out a general "take care, everyone". It's definitely way too early for winter! I'm in Madison and though we've had some low temp mornings, for the most part our fall has been very beautiful.

Welcome to the newcomers!

I really like the Pirate menu (although they have not been doing it lately), and I enjoy the fireworks, usually skip the show part.

Hope everyone in the NE has a lot less snow then predicted. We will be thinking of you and check in when possible.

While I enjoy the snow and would gladly say bring it on, this year I hope we don't see any major falls until close to Christmas. I need clear trails to get my training runs in for the Donald Half Marathon in January.

I too hope the NE is alright but, posts like this make me so happy I live in L.A.

Still at OKW for three more nights then head home to the snow, maybe as I bet it has melted by now, want to get out on the new bike.

HappyGoofy is probably without power. Some other friends a few miles from her have been on a generator since last night with lots of limbs down. Connecticut has had lousey luck with the weather this year!

I live in southeastern MA and my town wasn't supposed to get any acclumulation, we're about a half hour from the coastline. Woke up this morning to about an inch or two of snow. It's already mostly melted so no issues with driving. Hope everyone to my North and West gets their power back on soon.

We set sail in 26 weeks! That's 182 days!

Just made another payment on the spring's cruise to paradise. Haven't visited the boards in some time and have been catching up. Can you believe we're less than six months away?

Just back from 4 days at DL. Stayed at Paradise Pier.:thumbsup2 It was very nice. The hotel could use a major lobby redo. Get rid of the elevator in the middle of it. Bad placement.:confused3
One complaint about the protestors at 7:00 am Saturday. It was only an hour but they could have chosen 10:00 to 11:00am .
Good weather 80 cool nights
Have to make this last until April.
