We set sail in 25 weeks! That's 175 days!

Well, it was a sad week in our house...we are forced to cancel our hawaii cruise because we cant get off work! Please remove us from all of the lists. We are super bummed about this! The only good news is that we still get to cruise next year. We are going on tne first cruise out of galveston. Thanks for everything, and i cant wait to hear the reports!

So sorry to hear that people are not able to get the time off from work and have to cancel...I am so glad I have a great boss who understands my Disney obsession.

I am so sorry that you had to cancel, but at least you still get to cruise.

Sorry to hear you aren't able to make it. I am still waiting to hear for me, but it isn't usually a problem. Enjoy the Galveston cruise.

I am sorry too that people could not get the time off. I wish it was just up to my boss, but everything is done by senority. I was just happy I was not out bid for the two weeks needed for this cruise.

Does anyone know If there is a walmart or a store like it close to the Candy Cane Inn? It would be nice to do shopping for things there before we sail to cut down on luggage. :confused3

Will you have your own mode of transportation? If you do go to Interstate 5 north in Harbor Blvd. get off at the first exit, turn right. There is a big shoping center with a Walmart on the right.

We will not have transportation. We are taking Disney transportation from LAX to the Inn. Is it an inexpensive taxi trip?

Thanks for the info.Just looking for a spot to get diapers and things that take extra space but can easily be bought anywhere.

I kinda recall a Food 4 Less on Katella, not too far away, Locals might have more info.

If you can wait until we get closer to cruise time...like early March I will know if I am driving my own car (from Seattle) or a rental that I will return asap. If I have my own car I am sure we can work out a quick trip to Wal-Mart a day or so before the cruise. I totally understand not wanting to get them at home and transport. Another option would be since I will be driving down I can always pick them up at our Wal-Mart and bring them down for you no matter which car I will be driving.

There is a target on Harbor. We have walked the distance before but if you are buying a bunch I would suggest a taxi back. It is a mile away. The walk is not bad so to save some money you could walk there and taxi it back. There is also an Outback and Joe's Crab Shack so you could walk, eat dinner, shop then taxi it back. Or taxi both ways...should not be expensive at all.

That is a great offer thank you!.. I do plan on order a diaper package thru baby travel lite for the actual ship, but was wanting to grab a few more things as well before we take off. I am working on getting the little one at least part way potty trained before we leave. He will be 2 in January, so I am introducing him to the potty!..Hopefully big brother will help encourage him to go potty on the big boy potty!.. We are going to be using Super Shuttle for a few of our transfers, and I was also thinking about buying a very inexpensive car seat for the boys. The older one is in a booster seat, those are very cheap as it is, but the younger one still needs a big car seat. I do not plan on traveling with his, it is entirely to HEAVY to tote from Kansas City and back!

Thank you for this info!.. That is exactly what I was looking for!.. A mile isn't that far so even if we taxi both ways, it should still be pretty reasonable!.. Thanks for the map as well!..

Your welcome. This is a great Target with the grocery section. It is not a super target but it has a large selection. We frequent this Target when we are up in Anaheim. :)

Looking at taxi rates it should be about $5 for the first mile.

We are in business then!.. Thanks to all for the information and the offers! A $15 taxi ride is worth it if I can pack lighter and travel easier! Especially with a 4 and a 2 yr old! Buying heavy bulky stuff closer to our destination makes for a ligter easier travel experience.

With this icky weather we are having here in Kansas City, I am really ready for some awesome tropical weather!
