One of our first cruises we went to a Q&A with the Captain. There must have been four different people who asked how the Disney MAGIC was different from the Titanic. Each time he answered as if it was a new question and told us that the MAGIC was wider, longer and higher so twice as big. Not twice as long and twice as wide and twice as high as that would be 6 times larger.

On the way out of Rocking Bar D we heard one man ask another the same question. The second guy moaned and rolled his eyes and the first one said "Come on, ask me, how is the Disney MAGIC different from the Titanic."

So, the second guy asked the question and the first one said:
"The Disney MAGIC is still afloat."

I saw the Captain at a signing later and told him. He chuckled.

This made me laugh! Poor Captain, I bet they get this a lot. I wonder if they also get the rogue wave Poseidon Adventure questions a lot also?

Although I have to say that when the Titanic Experience came to town it was a great learning experience for the kids before an upcoming cruise on all the safety rules that were put in place afterwards. We always think of the lifeboats, but there were a lot of others as well put into place, like radio's must always stay on and be manned, etc. This was also great when we did the bridge tour and my son and I could ask questions and look around. Great experience.

Now the new ships have gates to keep the rich people in!

So I was on the phone with United last night till 2am because they decided to change our flights.

Pushed us back by over 2 hours and we would have landed at LAX about 11pm our time(no thanks) the night before we cruise.

Now we land a couple hours before we planned and will be there around 3pm PT.

Also made them change our flights going back as they rerouted us and we would have spent 1 hour more on the plane. Now we leave 1 hour early, but get back 2 hours early.

I hate when they make changes, but for now it worked out I guess.

I will bet a round of drinks in Wavebands that it will not be shown. Two reasons, first it is a Paramount/ 20th Century Fox fin and second it is a love story set on a SINKING ship.

Second ... The Hunger Games comes out in March, 2012 .. Anyone who has read the book, do you think we may get it on the ship? The Avengers comes out while we are on board. Hoping for a premiear! It is Marvel after all, however, they didn't show Thor

Im hoping for the Avengers....my son has asked if he can bring his Iron Man costume (because he lives in costumes) and of course if Avengers is premiering, I see no reason that he cant bring and wear his costume!

Well I am going to have a great Thanksgiving. I work from 2:00 P.M.-9:30 P.M. All OT. Score. I really do not mind working on Thanksgiving. It is one of my least favorite holidays. I can't stand about 95% of the food served. My tradition is to get Chilli Burgers. After work I am going to see the Muppets. All things aside I hope all here enjoy their day tomorrow no matter what they do.

I also had United flights.........then I got a phone call saying my flight changed and I was going to miss my connection. The only flight was on the red eye. I even tried for a flight for the next day. They refunded me my money and I am now flying Southwest. I have to drive 2 hours to airport but at least I don't have to deal with $$ for luggage and I have a afternoon flight back.

Exciting news for Wilmington NC............Iron Man 3 will start filming in May through Jan. 2013 with the movie coming out Memorial Day 2013. They will be needing 1000 extras and we are already on file to work on this film !!! The 4 stars that I know of that will be in it are Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle. I haven't seen any of the other movies. I might be checking them out soon.

Just saw Sailor Mickey on TV in The Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and had to come onilne and say Happy Thanksgiving to all my American cruise friends!

Im hoping for the Avengers....my son has asked if he can bring his Iron Man costume (because he lives in costumes) and of course if Avengers is premiering, I see no reason that he cant bring and wear his costume!

By all means, have him bring and wear it. Super Hero's are always welcome! Seeing Avengers would be great - put me on the hoping list also.

Just finished annual audit. All went well. Now I can start focusing on normal work hours and getting ready for upcoming cruises!

Wish I was on the ship today. I love holidays on the ship.

Instead, just saw Sailor Mickey on the Macy's parade, and I was wishing I had one of the t-shirts the balloon handlers had with the cruise ship on it!

"The Hunger Games" will NOT be on the ship since there is no connection to Disney. "The Avengers" WILL BE a Prem-Ear at sea at midnight on May 3, the night before we arrive in Hawaii (Hilo) since it is being released by Walt Disney Pictures. It might even be midnight EASTERN time, which would be like 7 p.m. ship time at that point.

We also should get "John Carter" (March 9) and "Chimpanzee" (April 22) on board as well.
