I just checked again and it is still there. Go to Kayak.com and look for rental cars, then key in the city (Kahului, Maui) and the date (May 5th). Scroll down about a half dozen lines and you will see Budget.

I will be traveling with my son by myself, he turns 5 at the end of May. He is really excited for the Kids Clubs and to meet new friends. We're not on main dining, but maybe we can set up a time to meet up?

We'd love to meet up and are certainly planning on being at the DISMeet at 3pm on embarkation day if you are planning on that too.

Otherwise we can just swap stateroom #s and leave a note for a get together as I know our son would love to have a similarly aged buddy!

Here is a place in Huntington Beach which is not far from Long Beach for Leis. You could at least get a price comparison, and if there was a bunch maybe you could get a group discount.

We have also done candy leis for the kids when they graduate from high school. They are really popular here.

Got it ..Thank you. I got a full size car for $38 including taxes. I am definitely going to try calling about pick up also. Maybe since there are more than one of us they will bring the shuttle to the terminal and take us to cars and return at the end of the day. I requested 8am till 6pm rental...

I am booked with Alamo for 52 (at this port)including taxes - they run a shuttle from the port according to the website. The most expensive port for a car was Honolulu at 75.00

Our son is 5 and also an only child. So, I hope we all get a chance to meet up at the DIS Meet or something as it would be great for him to get to make some buddies before venturing to the kid's club for the first time.

We're driving up to LA from San Diego so we won't arrive until the morning of the 29th.

Are you doing Main Dining? If so, you can sign up to link to the Main Dining group by sending a PM to PaulaSillers. We are and think it will be great fun to eat along with other DISers - esp those with similarly aged kids!

I am traveling with my mom and 2 boys.. DH doesn't have enough vacation to join. I will see what I can find in a lime green, but not sure how that will pan out. My email is my DIS name @yahoo.com.. Hope they boys can meet and at least become a bit familier with one another. We plan on being at the 3pm DIS meet on embarkation day, so maybe they can meet there if we don't catch up at the Candy Cane in. Are you doing DL at all?

I am glad to see that there will be at least a couple of boys around Kaleb's age on this cruise. We are hoping to be able to do DL on Saturday. It will just be me and my son since my husband is not too much of a Disney fan. Please don't hold that against him. He is one that can go to Disney once every 10 to 15 years and he is good. He lets me have Disney cruises since he says its completely different then the parks. We also have late dining. We tried main on my sons first cruise and it did not work for us. He is a night owl so that helps out.

Off to reserve the car rentals and I think I will be done with getting everything booked.

I went to kayak.com to check car rentals in Maui and got a great deal (said it was today only) with Budget. It was $24 for an intermediate car (+$11 taxes and fees). I'm hoping they will let us drop off and pick up at the cruise terminal. The reservation said I needed to call them directly for that request. I haven't done that yet.

Not positive but I think you have to pick up and drop off at the airpoty, but there is a shuttle. Keep us posted on details as that is a good deal. Thanks.

Hi all. Well our day in Honolulu just got longer. We are booked on the free DVC tour of the new resort. I know this is just going to be a long sales pitch but at least we will get to see it since we both know we will probably never stay there due to its high point requirements.

Ibooked today as well. Took the 7:15 first tour. Yawn. But then back to the ship and the rest of the days is ours.....

Hopefully they are good and we will bring them on the ship and share since we only need 1 for our refrigerator......Will see when we get them.....they say possibly 14 days so we will let ya know....almost down to 10 weeks to go. By the way....we are arriving on Saturday night and staying at the Marriott by the airport.....anyone else staying there?

I am trying to do this with this cruise, but I am lost. I don't know where to start and what to do because this thread has 3 threads has the longest thread I ever seen or that I have participated in. I have limited amount of time since we booked last minute and would like to join with our family some events. Please help, thanks.

Well I am going to Pearl Harbor at 7:15. So I had to book the 2:45. It will make us late for dinner but we will tell our servers and maybe try to arange to order that nights dinner the night before.

Go to the first page of this third thread and the first post will guide you a little. Go to the roll call link and there are tabs at the bottom for sign ups for a lot of the events.
Also be sure and send e-mail to Erick and Jason asap if you want lanyards, I believe that is covered in first posting, but their deadline is really really soon I think.
Come back here if you have further questions and I am sure there will be a lot of people to help answer them better than I am doing since I am kind of rushed tonight....

Welcome to the crew! Your best bet is to check out page 1 of this thread; there's a lot of info there where you can sign up for FEs, Secret Mickey, link dining, Champagne Girls, etc. Oh, and lanyards possibly; not sure what the cutoff for those is.
