Although these sicknesses are viral and not bacterial, I can't help buying anti-bacterial stuff....just in case.

Rhonda - You are going to love how DCL handles the anti-bacterial situation. There is a "GERM JUICE" (as my kid's call it) station at every restaurant. As you are about to enter, an attendant will hand you an anti-bacterial wipe. Or, you can use the germ juice dispenser. Clean hands for dinner - what a concept! :thumbsup2

I boought my husband and daughter pirate costumes for pirate night. After I did that, I read on the main site that only a few people dress up. Has that been your experience? Is anyone else dressing up? Thanks fellow BuccanEARs!

Here's what happens if you don't behave on the ship (DW in action - no animal was harmed): :lmao:

How many dress up is really dependant on so many things. Cruises with really large DIS groups (like the repo etc.) tend to have many many people dress up. Cruises with fewer orangized groups tend to have less people dress up. I think part of that is that many people don't get into the planning as much as people on these boards.

We've done everything from no dressing up, tropical dressing up, really dressing as pirates, and casually dressing as pirates (pirate t-shirts). Bottom line do what you and your family will have fun with. I will say that when we were really dressed up people would stop and say to our group that they wish they had thought to dress up. So no one will look down on you for dressing up and having fun! pirate:

Woo Hoo -another UTOP PDFG and all our friends who need it!

I heartedly agree with Mary, :thumbsup2 There are a number on the board that indicated that they have items for pirate night. Our last trip a large number did dress up or at the least had a pirate shirt or hat. For the BucceaEars who did not know what it was all about DCL suppied at the table a head band for each person, and all used them one way or another.

Do exactly what you and the family want to have fun. I think it's great to go all out and make the vacation a memorial time for you and your family. That what it's all about. Disney and magical times. We have selected a couple of items to ware on pirate night, and we will be ware them.

Have a ball and plan for all.

Hi,

I have a huge favor to ask of someone on this cruise. DH and I are going on the WB PC cruise. We will be at CC on Sun, Mother's Day. The Post office will be closed. Would someone be willing to pick up 6 postcard stamps for us and mail them to me? I will happily mail you the cash for both postage stamps and mailing. Please pm if you are interested. I wonder if it would be possible to leave them at guest services?

Thanks
Cork

Does anyone know where I could find a goofy pillow case or anything goofy to get autographed by all the characters?? My son loves goofy and it hard to find.

Is anyone else going to drop stuff off to be autographed ??

Kristi

We took plain white pillowcases and then dh found a Disney graphic he liked. He customized it and then printed it out on an iron on transfer. Worked like a charm!

Welcome to all the new Caribbean Crazy Cruisers. For the record we are dressing up on Pirate night too. like others have posted we are on a Disney cruise why not have fun.

Just letting you know there are more of us cruisers out there. My dw, dd2 and ds0 are going to be on the cruise, along with 107 of my dw's extended family (family reunion). It's our first cruise, but there are some seasoned cruisers in our group.

A word of warning: watch out for the family 5k on deck 4 on one yet-to-be-determined morning. :scared:

Welcome to the DIS and the DCL forums! Wow - sounds like a great big family reunion. Have fun!

Good morning everyone! Time for the Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

Not sure if you want to eat breakfast or lunch at Lumiere's or up at Topsiders? Here's a tip. They post the menu for Lumiere's near the back entrance (the hallway right near the Promenade lounge). Stop by there and see if there is something on the menu you'd love. If not head on up to the buffet on deck 9.

Hi Kay
How did you print out your door sign? Did the photo take up the entire 8.5 x 11 sheet (with a small margin)? Did you print it in landscape or portrait? And finally, did you paste the photo into another application (like Word or MS Paint) to print it?

Thanx,
Randy

WE FLY OUT 2 WEEKS FROM TODAY! YEAH!

It's getting closer and closer. Now all I need to do is get through the next two weeks of work, my DD B-day party, getting everybody packed, get my house ready for the house sitter and hopefully some sleep in between.

Ugh!

Then it will be party:

Ugh!

We're all going to need a vacation after all the preparation. :cloud9:

So, here's a WONDERful thing about cruises:
- Someone ELSE to do our cooking and to clean our dishes,
- Someone ELSE to make our beds,
- Someone ELSE to vacuum our carpet,
- Someone ELSE to pick-up our dirty towels,
- Someone ELSE to make us feel like kings and queens for 7 days!

We get to just lay back and let the others do all the work!!

PS: Of course, we have to tip.
