We are also, not offended at all, I saw the button/navigator thing, and asked and I perfectly understand the reasons behind it. We are just happy to meet some other people for our kids to meet, possibly form friendships with these people, and provided the transportation that Make-A-Wish is providing for us gets us to the ship in time ( I am HIGHLY nervous about this, I desperately do not want to be the last people on board!) we are looking very forward to meeting everyone in person, who I have read SO much about in the last weeks.

We are looking forward to just relaxing after a VERY stressful 10 months, and although I would like to see dolphins or sea creatures when we leave port, I am not holding anyone responisble if we don't.

Thanks everyone. Is it any wonder why I had the nickname worry wart in high school. What can I say I'm a worrier. Happy to see everyone is on the same page.

Here's to a wonderful cruise, meeting up with some wonderful people, and spending a week on the most magical ship afloat!

Hopefully everyone can make the DIS meet on board or at least recognize each other from the pictures on the site. It is wonderful to be able to walk around the ship and see smiling faces of other DISers.

Mary we were not offended at all. On our first cruise we did not join any dis group on our 2006 7 night we became official diser's we only had about 10 families and only 6 or 8 family's took part in the dis meet which was held in the Walt Disney Suite even Eileen did not go but our youngest ds did go with me. We do hope as we get closer to cruise day more families will post photos of them selves makes approaching other families to say hi easier Mary we did receive the winter storm about another 8 inches and 9 degrees out now.

We got a little snow in NJ last night, but not enough for me to stay home from work Oh well when I am up and about the days go faster till our Disney Trip. So is anyone going to be in the World before the cruise or is everyone heading straight to the ship?

We fly in the day before the cruise but we are meeting up with Karen and her family at the airport and heading over to spend the night in the port area. I think we are going to dinner at Grills.

We'll be hitting the parks for a few days after the cruise.

Good Morning Everyone,

Mary, you are now our weatherperson for the northeast, you announce snow, slush, rain, or Yuk. Karen in Western N.Y. get the Yuk 4-6 hrs later, and we get what you had 3-6 hours after her. Thank you for the heads up.

The DW starts in morning when I wake up she is up and down giving the number of days before we start our trip, this morning she served me coffee and yelling 53, 53, and we are on our way.

Why 53 days you ask? We are going for 4 days to WDW and enjoying the magic. Walt. The excitement is reaching a high.

We are thinking of booking on the cruise as well. Something in 2009, switching to a 10 day in 2010, or a back to back.

Mary, our plans for the cruise: Sunday 6pm Palo's, St Martins: Pinel Island Snorkel at 12:30, St Thomas: Sky Ride and winging it. and CC: Tubs, snorkel, bikes, Sun and lay out relaxing.

for some weird, strange reason i am not getting my email notices again. i had to start back a few pages to catch up.
you should all know i love this thread and find it very interesting. i love the fact that i can particiapate and not feel the pressure of having to do things i don't want to. i want this trip to be about me and rob (its a special time for us), not me, rob and the ship and you are all so understanding about this, you still let me keep tabs and play . thanks to all but a really big thanks to mary.

Oh the misery.. It got down to the mid 40s this morning here in central Florida. BRRRRR... It was awful - I had to actually dig into the closet to find a sweater.

I sense that I'm not getting any sympathy!

Mary - Grills will be busy on Friday nite, so depending on what time you arrive, there could be a 1 to 2 hour wait. Its a good restaurant (for Brevard County.)

AMERICAN IDOL - Is there anybody here that watches this show?

TV: DW and I try to catch up on our TV Shows before bed. Nowadays, we like to watch Survivor, Am. Idol, and Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. I'd like to recommend a series now on CBS called "Dexter." We saw this on Showtime and really enjoyed Season 1 and 2.

Yikes! I hadn't heard about it. Just checked online. Really more of a strip mall than a mall and not near here. Actually it is about 1/2 hour North of where I am. Very scary. Thanks for thinking of us.

The Brunswick Family (speakupjc) will be going to DW 1 night prior to the cruise and staying at the AKL. We are also staying 1 night after the cruise at the Beach Club. Our plans on the cruise include St Maarten - relaxing on the beach at Little Divi Resort, St. Thomas - relaxing on the beach at Bolongo Bay resort, Castaway Cay - Relaxing on the beach. What can I say we are going to turn into beach bums. lol. We have dinner at Palo and are currently holding a reservation for brunch at Palo. We don't need the brunch on Palo and will be canceling it. Mary is it possible to put it into anyone else's name and does someone else from this group want it?

awww wish we could get your brunch ressie when you cancel it. I missed out on the 75 day mark Don't care about dinner but we really wanted to do palo brunch!

Palo Brunch....that is the biggest reason we are going to get to the port early so we can hopefully be on board early and secure brunch. We have dinner but I accidentally made it for Pirate night so that won't work. Does anyone know where we have to go to do Palo res. when we board? I have read horrible reports of people who have asked the CMs when they boarded and were give the wrong location and it cost them being way back in the line when they finally figured out the right place to go.

Does anyone know where we have to go to do Palo res. when we board?

On our last cruise, we were in group 4 boarding the ship. They began by calling Groups 1 to 3 (same time). Not 5 minutes passed before they called group 4.

Sooooo, we were on the ship before they started changing reservations. I don't remember where, but I was first in line to change dining from late to early seating. They made no promises. In fact, we had to wait for a phone call, which would arrive 15 minutes prior to early seating to find out whether we had in fact been switched.

We got the phone call with bad news. So we went to the show first. This was one of the few drawbacks from my last cruise - my poor DD4 fell asleep at the table. Nobody should go to bed with an empty stomach on a cruise ship.

For the next 2 nites, we repeated the 'wait for a phone call' system, but luckily got early seating the rest of the cruise.

WARNING This is going to sound weird WARNING

I'm sorta superstitious - I make up my own games. That is, I don't follow the traditional superstitions (like walking under a ladder). For example, if I'm looking to buy a new car, I don't like talking about it in my current vehicle. As if it might hurt my car's feelings and fall apart.

Well, Steph's birthday is next month, so I decided to buy her a new lightweight laptop, because she complains that her Dell laptop is too heavy to carry around campus (in combination with her books). I considered the Apple Mac Air, but instead got the new Thinkpad X300. The Thinkpad will be shipped in a few weeks. Now I haven't said anything to anybody, but tonite she comes to me with her Dell and it is buzzing really loudly.

Maybe the Dell laptop wirelessly detected the Thinkpad purchase and got its feelings hurt. LOL. I don't REALLY believe that, but I thought it might make for interesting reading. Nowwwww, you say "ohhhhhh kaaayyyyy."
