Hi Amy! Glad you guys can join us! We are a family of 4. I am turning 34 on April 25th, so I will be celebrating my birthday on the cruise!! pixiedust: My DH is 35, DS Josh is 12 and DD Kaylee is 8, so she will be in the club with Janie.

Can't wait to see my ticker change to say 1 month soon. I have been waiting (im)patiently! :rotfl2:

How many people do we have in this roll call? :grouphug:

WDWLVR: 2
MarkRG: ?

I apologize if I left someone out. Also, there may be duplicates (DH and DW counted twice). There are also a few people I haven't seen post, so I have no idea of their status.

That's 51 and some ?s...

Randy - MarkRG is my better half so he's really in there twice.

We finished watching last nights rained out California races today. There is a Jimmy Buffett tribute band here this weekend "Parrots of the Caribbean" looking forward to getting into the Caribbean spirit.

There are 3 of us in the Brunswick (speakupjc) Family including a little girl that we adopted from Guatemala. Congrats to the couple awaiting their daughter. That is wonderful. When do you think she will be coming home with ya'll? We would love to meet you:)

I am so excited for my DD. She will be just a month shy of 7 when we cruise and its looks like there is a couple of little girls from our group she can meet up with:goodvibes

What I'd like to do next is group the kids by age.

looks like a bunch of our kids will be in the club together. Lots of 7 and 8 year olds :) It's great. my DD will love it!

is anyone planning on rebooking while on board? I am seriously thinking about December 2009 Western. Would love to see the Magic all decked out in holiday decorations! DH doesn't know I am toying with the idea yet, and if he doesn't want to come I am thinking of just taking the kids! :goodvibes

Good morning everyone! Happy Tuesday! More snow here today. Yuck!

We haven't decided what we are doing in 2009 but I don't think we'll be rebooking this time around. The ship is beautiful at holiday time. We loved our 2004 Chirstmas cruise! In fact it was that cruise and its cruise meets thread where I first met Karen!

Kay - we will likely book another cruise on the ship, but I have no idea what date we will choose. There is a good chance we will get the Western Caribbean. You have to put down a deposit ($250 per person for a 7 nite). Your deposit can be refunded anytime 75 days or more before your cruise date. Also, you can change cruise dates.

We booked the April 26 cruise during our May 3-nite. However, I wasn't able to take advantage of the $200 discount because I selected a Cat 12 GTY (which was cheaper than the Cat 11, even with a discount). And, I'll probably get upgraded anyway.

A good thing about booking onboard is that you get to spread your vacation expenses over several months (pay deposit, then pay the difference, then you pay for excursions). :thumbsup2

I highly doubt we'll be rebooking onboard. Unless my parents start begging to do another Disney Cruise.....and then we'll just HAVE to go with them. :)

Which parents would those be. Your real parents or your DVC parents (at least according to the guy at Doorway to Dreams)?:lmao:

Well, seeing as I already know ALL of my DVC parent's plans, I guess it's my real parents. ;) I just hope my real parents don't try to schedule something when my DVC parents already have something planned. Because then I'll be stuck in the middle. :lmao:

The Speakupjc family is comprised of George age 43, Dantzler age 47 and
Catherine age 4 (please note that Catherine will be in the 5-7 year old child care program as she has already completed the other program for the younger kids twice and is only one month shy of her fifth birthday). We have already booked the Thanksgiving cruise for November 26-30 2008. Is anybody else from this group going with us? Has anyone been on the Thanksgiving cruise and if so how was it? We couldn't wait to book online as the cruise is filling up fast and we didn't want to be shut out.

Shhhh.. Don't Tell Anybody! :ssst:

Great News: Steph asked her instructor if she could take the final exam on a different day. The instructor said it was university policy NOT to allow rescheduling except for medical emergencies - but she would let Steph take the exam early - just don't tell anyone. :cool1:

I'll tell you one thing, if Steph had to miss the cruise for the final and lose all the money we've invested, there WOULD have been some sort of medical emergency! :crazy2: You've seen what she can do with duct tape on an alligator's mouth. :rotfl2:

Thank goodness the professor had pity on Steph: "Oh you poor thing - won't get to go on a Disney Cruise.. awwwwww." An instructor with a bad attitude may not have seen it this way: "What! Miss my test for a mickey mouse cruise!! Are you crazy!?"

Steph explained that we've had these plans for almost a year and thousands of dollars had already been paid. Plus, she had no idea that a test could be given on a Saturday. So thankfully the teacher had heart.

Great news Randy! Now she can take the test and really celebrate on the cruise that it is over!
