Good morning Cruisers

We sail in 37 weeks!

Good morning everyone! Well yesterday was a bit of a draining day for me with the memorial service. It was for the 24 year old son of the HR director where I work. We are a small company (a little over 100 people) and I've been there for 10 years. I was amazed at the number of people who came for this including many ex employees. The service itself was about 45 mnutes but then they asked that those who wanted to pay respects to the family should walk up starting from the back and the overflow room. Well it was almost 45 minutes until my row was able to get up - seems that they not only filled the room we were in but another full room as well and still had standing room. It was wonderful for the family to see I'm sure.

Today is catch up day with laundry, bills and other paperwork.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Rest up today, Mary. That can be a very draining day. I'm sure the family was glad to see you there.

We're off later ot Easton. We're going to see Hairspray. Then go to lunch (location to be determined) then we may go see another movie ?Simpsons. Another scorcher here today so it'll be a good day to stay in the A/C.

Big news for tomorrow.....KT GETS HER BRACES OFF!! :)

It's been a rough weekend here in atlanta too. Adam's 90 year old grandmother has been in a the hospital for 10 days now. She had a mass in her colon removed monday and it's just not going so well. We spent all day yesterday in the ICU waiting room and we're about to go back in a few minutes. If yall would just keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.

Yesterday while we were there we told adam's family we had another disney cruise booked. They all looked at us like we had lost it. They just don't understand pixiedust:

we know how everyone feels my Mom had back surgery a little over a week ago due to a car accident and now the recuperating starts

Good morning everyone. Sounds like there is lots of pixie dust needed. Let's hope this week is a better one for everyone.

A UTOP to start the day. PDFG and all who need it!

sorry to hear that some of you had a bad week! Hope this one will be much better for you! :wizard:

Well, we had an earthquake here while we were gone. 4.5 magnitute and the epicenter was very close to where we live. Luckily, nothing got damaged, only a few things were knocked down. We didn't feel anything up North while camping, but maybe because we were so close to the ground. It says that people in Santa Barbara could feel it and we were just 20 miles north of there.

I haven't been feeling 100% since we got back. I am constantly hot, even with the AC on lower than normal. I think I may be getting sick.

I have to go back to work next week. My summer is over :( The kids go back August 29th. Still have to do some back to school shopping! Kaylee is done except shoes, and Josh I haven't even started yet. Next week is orientation at the middle school, where we can also buy PE clothes, agenda books and locks for the lockers!

Kids got their passports today!! We applied April 4th, so it took a bit over 4 months! Glad we got that out of the way! Now if DH would only send in his renewal!

Good morning everyone! Happy Tuesday.

Storms rolling through right now. Better to get them out of the way. I want to the weekend to be nice for our trip to Irish Fest.

We need storms even if it gives us rain for only a little bit. We're melting down here in atlanta and everyone's grass/plants/flowers are just dead.

I told adam what I wanted for my b-day next year (i'll be 30 next year big one) and it's a disney cruise. He actually said that while we're on board in april that we can look into the cruise near my b-day!!!  It would actually be the one leaving on Nov. 29th the day after my b-day since thanksgiving is on nov. 27th.

Good morning everyone - happy Wednesday!

Daisy I saw by your ticker that you are going home to BCV in December. So you are a DVC member? So are we! We'll be going home to BWV in early December and also spending some time down at Vero Beach. Have you been in WDW at holiday time before? We love it! What dates are you going to be there?

Actually it's my dad who is the DVC member but he takes the whole family (dad, mom, my sister, her dh, their 2 kids, adam and I) once a year. My dad's saying is he would rather use his money now and see us enjoying it then after he's gone.
This year we're going Dec. 15th-22nd. We went in december 2004 and had so much fun. I love all the decorations, MVMCP, and the shows. We were suppose to go dec. 2005 but we had to move it to July 2005 b/c my sister's cancer wouldn't go away. She had to go back and forth to houtson, TX for 4 months then her and my mom had to move to texas for 5months for a cord blood transplant. So this trip is our first family trip since july 2005 and we are beyond excited. Plus I love love love the beach club and boardwalk area. Adam and I always run over to the international epcot gate to go to the french bakery to get snacks. Yummy!!

I'm really depressed! Airfare just won't budge from $425/pp. I look several times each day. Not that I CAN'T pay it, and I will if I have to, but I just don't WANT to. Maybe the days of $300 non-stop roundtrip to Orlando are over, and I know I can get it for $320 or so, but I want the non-stop flight. Paying $1,700 for airfare just seems like SO much! I hear all of you guys purchasing your airfare already and it just depresses me!

Daisy we miss you by just a couple of days. We come back home on the 11th. Keep an eye on the DVC board (or I'll try and remember when I hear the dates) but they usually do a DVC Merry Member Mixer. It is held right outside the international gateway at Epcot and is a lot of fun and best of all free to DVC Members. They have cookies, punch, characters, and you even get a small gift. We've always enjoyed them.

WDW at the holidays is one of our favorite times. Love MVMCP! Last year we got to enjoy it with our good friends Karen & Mike! We also love the Candlelight Processional - very moving!

Kay even our travel agent was surprised by how high airfare was when we were traveling. I knew Eileen would only want to fly through Charlotte so I did not want to risk not getting it

That just brought a big smile to my face. That was an awesome evening. :)

Good morning everyone! Karen that was a great evening even if it got off to a rocky start trying to get to you guys and getting there so late. We have such wonderful memories of that night.

A fun story to share with everyone. Right after we get into the Magic Kingdom we spot Mary Poppins, Burt, and the Penquins posing with guests. We love penquins, Nick loves penquins, we need a picture. We get in line and the handler says Mary and Burt will be leaving very soon and we may not get a picture. We ask about the penquins and she says they will be staying. We are a happy group! Sure enough right when it is our turn Mary and Burt leave. Others behind us are disappointed but we are happy! :)

had another earthquake today. It makes me worried when we have several earthquakes in a row. I always wonder "is the big one coming next?" Our AC also broke yesterday so we had to have it fixed today. The guy didn't come until 7pm this evening. I was miserable and in a BAD mood all day today! It was 85 in the house, 100 outside!

Good morning everyone - happy Friday!

We're heading out for the weekend. Going up to Milwaukee for Irish Fest!

Hope everyone has a great day!

dreamcometrue (sorry still haven't gotten everyone's real names down) - I so know how you feel. The first real hot weekend we had here in atlanta back in March our A/C didn't work when we turned it on for the first time (new house). The best part is we had a housewarming party with 30 people with no A/C. We found out that no one had pluged the a/c units in and there were holes in the pipe going from one of the units to the upstairs. Workers had to come rip half the siding off our house to fix the pipe. It was a great 3 days!!!
