only instead of using { } use [ ]

Cool - thanks for sharing them with us. Looks like you guys had a great time. Did you go up in the observation tower on Castaway Cay? The last time we were there it wasn't open yet. We'll have to check it out in October.

Ok so now that Karen has left to me explain a few things I will.

TOP - this goes back to the first cruise meets thread we were on which was the 10 day Christmas cruise back in 2004. We liked celebrating milestones on that thread. Big ones like who got post #1000 and small ones, like who got the top of a new page. Which is where TOP comes from. It means Top Of Page. A UTOP is an Unexpected Top Of Page which means you didn't try for it. BTW there are 15 posts on a page before you get a new one.

As for the smoothies - well Karen's son likes them as does my DH Mark. On our last cruise we were tablemates and the server got confused and asked Nick (Karen's son) what kind of smoothie he wanted and what kind his Dad (meaning Mark) wanted. So Mark became Smoothie Dad.

Hope that explains it all.

Welcome (zerog) Randy and Steph good to have you and your family sailing this cruise will be our 3rd we were on the 4 night wonder in 2003 and a 7 night Magic in June 2006 exactly one year ago this weekend. it will be myself Mike and dw Eileen our 2 dsons will not be joining us.

Ok Randy I couldn't resist I...checked out your Album. You guys looked like you had so much fun, but your DD didn't look too happy getting her hair braided. Still, she looked adorable afterwards.

I'm back... I took DS to the Orlando Science Center and another place (you'll need to cover your DIS ears), for Father's day out. Hey, it got me out of doing chores.

At the OSC, we saw 2 IMAX movies in the Cinedome: Dinosaurs Alive and Hurricane on the Bayou. Kyler enjoyed DA better, but I liked HOTB. We've got a family membership to OSC, so IMAX movies are free. It is an awesome place to see a movie. Its the kind of theater where the movie is displayed on the domed ceiling.

Next, we went to .... warning warning - now is the time to hold your Dis ears ..... Universal Studios. Last year we had annual passes to WDW and Sea World/Busch Gardens, but this year we bought Universal Studios. It was a buy one year get one year special.

Anyhow, we didn't have much time so we saw Shrek 4D, Men In Black, Jaws, and Twister. I bribed Kyler into going on the Mummy ride, by offering him a spongebob sq pants hat. He rode it, but got scared and started crying. This is the same kid who loves the Tower of Terror at MGM and Space Mountain at MK. Personally, T of T is the most frightening ride at all the Disney theme parks. BTW, as far as motion sickness, I can handle roller coasters. I can't take those 'shake you up' rides where you stare at a screen in front. Also, my body gets upset when I try to ride anything that spins real fast or the Pirate Ship at the carnival that goes back n forth.

Thanx for the comments about the photos. We had Taryn's hair braided the day before the cruise at the Cocoa Beach pier. She likes the end result of her hair being braided, but she acts like it hurts while getting it done. We wanted to get a head start - no pun intended - so we wouldn't have to waste time during our short 3 niter.

Kyler and I rented bikes at CC. The observation tower is up, and the view is magnificent from the top. And speaking of TOP, I'm proud to have made my first on page 109.

Back to work I go but for another short week. Thursday night Mark and I head up to Milwaukee for the Nascar races this weekend.

Randy - thanks for the info on the observation tower. We'll definately have to take a bike ride over to it in October. After all we have 2 days on the island.

Today starts a busy two weeks. KT's acting camp starts today, so that means driving downtown to drop her off/pick her up twice a day (or drop her off, bum around in town for 6 hours and then pick her up) Luckily the price of gas went down just a titch!

Yup, that's the one. Today he's staying with Mike in the morning, then this afternoon we'll hit the library before we pick up KT.
Tomorrowhe's going to Cedar Point with Mike. Some of the other days we'll hit the zoo or other attractions. Some days we'll come home (after all, he still does still have some school left!)

morning all! This week, I have 3 more days of work...short days at that! I am not going in until 10am, 9:30 on Wednesday. Working till 3:45 today, and 2 both other days! Then I'll be DONE!! At least I can sleep in a bit since I don't have to get the kids up, they are out for summer break already!

Wish me luck as I head off to a brand new doctor today. Would you believe at the age of 50 I've never had to look for a doctor. I went to the GP who delievered me from the day I was born until he retired when I was in my mid-30's. About 5 years before he retired his nephew joined the practice and became my doctor. Now he has moved way to far away to keep him so we had to look for one. So this is all new to me.
