Thanks for the tips...I love them!
I have officially had my first cruise nightmare. We were in our stateroom and I was trying to unpack and realized that we had no clothes for anyone, we only had a few things so I decided I would do laundry. Thats when I realized I had no laundry detergent or change for the washers or my pop up laundry hamper. I started looking through the bags and nothing that we needed or planned on bringing was in them. :confused3 I think I better check my cruise to do list again...I feel the anxiety already!

omg I have this same dream ALL the time!! We either get on the ship and have NO luggage because I forgot to pack OR we have things like pajamas ONLY.

I am definitely up for some card games. Don't really know the rules to any of those, but I am willing to learn! :thumbsup2

can I just say how awesome it feels to have my countdown ticker count down in DAYS now instead of months and weeks?? I am loving it!! :lovestruc

I'll bet this won't be helpful, but one time we got to WDW for a TWO WEEK vacation and Mike forgot to pack shorts. The ONLY pair he had was the one he wore to FL. Luckily we were in a DVC villa and we had a washer and dryer. :)

it's funny because NO MATTER WHAT... I always forget to pack pajamas. always. I pack them for the kids and DH but I always forget mine. So everytime we are on vacation, I have to run out and buy myself a pair of pajamas. Luckily, you can get away with one or two pairs. Would be far worse if I kept forgetting to pack tshirts lol

we have not played spades in years. We are looking forward to our brunch at Palo's it will be our first visit. Randy did you see or hear the night Shuttle landing

i can see a use for the lrc game at home. can you pick this up in a store or do you have to order from the internet. it would be a great thing to intruduce to my 'at home' circle of friends. i'll have to see about sitting in on a hand or two to see if i can get the knack.

We try to get the kids to bed between 7:30 and 8pm, but they have a way of always stretching it out till 8:15 ("I'm hungry".. "I've got to go potty" .. etc.). Funny how they wait till it's bed time to do all their business. :hyper2: I'm hungry doesn't work 30 minutes after they were just "stuffed" at dinner. :sad2:

Anyhow, at 8:30something Steph and I were watching TV and we heard a very loud bang (the sonic booms actually go BOOM BOOM). Everyone forgot about the landing. My first reaction was that our DS8 was out of bed and knocked over something very heavy. :furious: I was about to do the 'count to 10' thing, but he came running into the our room scared from the big noise and we realized what it was. We then changed to the NASA Channel and watched it land. (typically you hear the sonic booms 5 minutes prior to touchdown).

Hope that wasn't TMI. :)

Thanks so much for all your kind welcomes! Looking forward to the meeting on the ship. Great tips - Thanks Mary!

Hi Guys,

I keep waiting for the cruise nightmares to hit me!!:scared1:

Does anyone know if you can still drop off a pillow case or something at customer sevice to get all the autographs signed on it??

Less than a month!! I better start packing soon. Just realized that DD has no bathing suits that still fit!!
I guess we will go shopping tomorrow.

Have a good night!
Oh, has anyone played bingo on board??
I love to play Bingo!!:cool1:

You can definitely find it at home. I've had the most luck at those game stores that pop up in the malls around Christmas time, but that's only because that's when I've been looking for it. I've never looked at other times of the year. :)

Yeah, I don't have any that fit either. :( :lmao:

We've played bingo. It's addictive. And we're usually only ONE number away from the BIG pot of winnings at the end. It can really suck the money away fast. Faster than LRC! ;) :lmao:

Good morning Cruisers

We sail in 4 weeks!

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

An investment in Hefty 2.5 gallon zip bags makes packing and travel much easier.

We use these bags for packing all the time. Swimsuits in one, underwear in another, t-shirts, shorts, you get the idea. If you are flying and have your bags searched by TSA you won't have anyone handling your clothes.

Now here's a tip for those with kids. Put a different complete outfit in each back. Underwear, socks, bottom, top. When you get to the ship just unpack the bags but don't open them. Each morning you have the clothes for the day ready. If the kids can dress themselves even better. No more mis-matched items or looking for missing pieces.

The bags also work great to take dry shirts with you on excursions or to keep your books, camera, etc. clean and dry while on CC.

thanks, i think i'm going to start looking around. it does look fun and as noted, very easy to follow.

4 weeks Now we feel like we are getting close. We do not think we have ever seen that dice game before. Eileen has lost 16 pounds hoping for more so she will be looking for another dress for formal night besides we have 2 weddings this summer. going out today to pick up a few more odds and ends today. We also watched the video of our last cruise in 2006 can not wait to hear the horn again live.

So much to do. But I know that the excitement is there. Im reading trip reports, updating my lists, dreaming..lalalalalal

Thanks for the tips. You rock!

A couple of reminders to get you in the mood:

The travel channel is showing Cruising Do's and Don'ts starting in a little less than an hour (4 pm Central time). There are some great shots of the Disney Wonder on this show.

The Disney Magic sails in a little less than an hour as well. Here's the web cam address where you should be able to catch her leave about 5:15 or so.
