As we start to pull away check out the outside of the terminal. There will be some CM's with a nice little good bye for you."

What are CM's? And what does it mean when you say, "There are things that can't be controlled like sometimes missing Castaway Cay." Why would we miss Castaway Cay??????

BirdLover - I believe CM stands for Chocolate Melted. Just Kidding. Actually, I think it is Cruise Member: someone who works for the cruise line, that usually assists passengers.

As far as missing Castaway Cay, some previous cruisers have reported that sometimes the ship is unable to dock at CC; mostly due to nature (as strong winds and/or currents). There was a long discussion about this on the main boards a month or so ago. On that cruise, adults were shouting and swearing - a mob scene in front of children no less - because they were upset (errr, mad) that the ship didn't dock. The captain apparently tried many times, but just couldn't do it. So, the crazy cruisers of this roll call all agreed that unless the ship was sinking, we would enjoy the cruise to the best of our ability. In other words, nothing ever goes exactly as planned, but for some, a cruise sure beats 5 feet of snow (is that alot? I've only seen snow a few times my whole life).

Have a great cruise Birdlover. You're doing great by asking a lot of questions. Hope to meet you onboard in FIVE days!!

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to read as much as I can find before I ask a question that has been asked before but some times it's like finding a needle in a haystack. Hopefully, because of the time of year we are going, the ship will be able to dock at Castaway Cay. By the way, is that the only place where a tender is needed?

WE FINALLY GOT OUR CRUISE DOCS TODAY!!!! :worship:
YAY!!! We leave to Florida in 4 sleeps!!!! WOO HOO!!!:woohoo::woohoo:

Randy - you got the second part right. They do work for the cruise line. CM stands for Cast Member (which is what Disney calls their employees) or in some cases Crew Member though this is usually those working on the ship itself and not at the port.

The ship does not tender into Castaway Cay, it docks. As Randy says sometimes the wind is too strong and they can't do it. The April 13th 4 day Wonder missed Castaway Cay on both days they tried due to the wind/current.

No tender is needed at CC. I don't believe we'll be using any tenders on this cruise.

It is very hard to concentrate at work....all I want to do is hurry up and get through the next few days. We leave for the airport on Friday morning!!!

I am not confessing that I want to call in sick to work tomorrow night. Perhaps by confessing this, I will feel guilty and not do this..

We will see. hahahaha

I have 12 weeks of vacation time though!

Only 3 more sleeps for us - we're driving there, so we'll be leaving Thursday morning and taking a leisurely 2 days to get to Cape Canaveral. Time is passing by TOO SLOWLY!
:hourglass
Is anybody from this group staying at the Radisson Resort at the Port the night before?

Ginny

P.S. I'm bringing Mardi Gras beads for anybody that wants some! :yay:

We are flying into Orlando on Friday. Leaving Montreal at 8:30am should arrive in Orlando by 11:30am. We are staying the night at the Airport HYATT.
Then Saturday morning we'll catch the shuttle to the ship!!! :cool1: Beth

Beth, I think we may be on the same flight from Montreal! Are you flying Air Canada?

Work is not getting much out of me this week...way too excited :cool1:

we are about half packed. trying to deal with getting our sons car inspected by the end of the month he cant understand why I say he needs 2 new tires he does not understand what wear bars are and how they should not be showing or tires are not suppose to be bald on the edges. he also forgot to tell us someone broke his passenger side mirror. We have to love our children. this week is going to fly by dealing with his car.

Wish I could say work wasn't getting much of me. I just got home. Long day!
