April 26, 2013 8 night Magic out of Galveston

:thumbsup2You sound like us! My 25ds loves everything, while my 24dd can't ride TOT, or some of the rollercoasters, and 12dd loves everything. It really works for us though, since dh wipes out easier than any of us:rotfl:

First year Mission Space opened, ds and I rode, and talked dh into riding while the girls sat out. I turned to ds and said "BEST ride EVER", then turned to dh who was a turtle green color and said "I think I'm done for the day"...bwahahaha. Poor thing. So, yep, we're 5 of us, each with their own likes and dislikes, but we love sharing all things Disney!
:rotfl2: I finally talked DS into Indiana Jones ride, mostly because I found all the details about exactly how fast(slow) it goes and appealing to the budding filmaker in him.

We switched to this cruise today (from Jan 4th we were thiniking we're not going to do anyway) :) Luckily able to get the same rooms we wanted. :) Ok so now about the ONLY thing bummer about this cruise is my son won't get to ride aquaduck (since he missed our trip on Fantasy this summer) and won't get to be in the NEW fancy forward ship teen club- instead his first time will be in the stack. But oh well buddy, chin up. LOL

Oh gosh. I'll have to check again. Earlier today it showed the new ports! :worried:
:welcome: - DS hasn't done the new teen club either, but he loved the stack. He still texts some of the kids from our last cruise.

And.....I think if everyone is in agreement, we'll post the closing date of the FE exchange 75 days out. That way, if you're making yours, you aren't caught in a jam. Everyone ok with this? That's what our last cruise agreed too, and it worked perfectly. If ppl have to cancel, they'll usually do it before making that final payment also. Let me know your thoughts...:goodvibes
I'm so torn on this. The planner in my loves the idea, late comers always causes me SO much stress. On the other hand, on the last cruise there were some latecomers, either they were new to the DIS, and didn't know about the fun until after the deadline, or they had personal issues and weren't keeping up on things until closer to cruise time. What they did was they allowed the late comers to form their own "group" so they could still participate, and anyone who had extras and wanted to give to the late group could as well. That way no one was excluded. Of course, it really is up to the person managing it on how they want to do it. :thumbsup2

:rotfl: A-n-d that's why I asked....Fosterlv (who has since left our cruise) set up our FE. In fact, we are still debating whether or not we want to do it this go round. We're on the sheet, but still not sure. And I had heard about another cruise doing just what you said ~ having a cut off date, but when newbies signed on, encouraging them to have their own group, but allowing anyone to take part in as much as they desired.

We hand-made our gifts which took a little while, and I had made a few extra, but when it came down to the wire, I have to admit, I had a little trepidation over late-comers, because at that point, I wasn't going to have any more supplies or time.

So, if someone would like to take the FE lead, and handle all this, it would really be a blessing...:goodvibes, but if there are no takers, I would suggest a cut-off, and then late comers making a new group (with help) and any of us who could and would sign up with them as well...

Any takers to manage the FE? This chik is NOT computer savvy to fix the spreadsheet ( I almost deleted the whole thing one night trying to decide whether we were staying or not:rotfl:), so it won't bother me, if someone wants to manage it.

Seems this cruise has had a few come and go, so someone who knows how to do that sheet, add on, make definate decisions, can sure manage it...any one love to do it?:):):)

Right there with you. I haven't updated my information because I haven't quite decided if we will participate this time or not. Still pondering, but of course I'll make the decision before the deadline. ;)

I totally understand. We had to go back and buy more supplies - so stressful! If I do it again, I need to re-think my strategy to try and make this easier.

Just changed our May 4th cruise to the April 26th Bahamas cruise. Will be me and the wife. Daughter is staying home this time. This is going to be our anniversary and honeymoon we never had 12 years ago when we got married. We will be at WDW next month in October so didn't want her to miss anymore school for the cruise.

:welcome: !!!! You will LOVE the Magic of it all! Took our first last October, and fell in love with it! Added you to the list on page 2, post 30. You will also see on that page, the FE list if you're interested and the FB group information. And no worries, if you don't have FB, we'll share everything on here if it's important!

We came over from that cruise too!
Welcome.

Hi everyone! :wave2: I have just changed from the Fantasy 4/20/13 cruise and switched to this one. :goodvibes It is just too good of an opportunity to pass up! The only reason we booked the Fantasy cruise was because we are already doing a Western on the Magic in a few weeks, and didn't want to do another identical itinerary, so the new itinerary works really well for us!! :thumbsup2

So looking forward to this itinerary! I know that the change of itineraries caused a lot of heartache for those that were booked on the different schedule, but the thought of being able to sail from Galveston and go to WDW plus CC is just so much fun!!!

225 days!
(49 to ADRs)

:welcome: :welcome: !!!! Yes, this cruise started out differently for many of us..planning a western, but now headed back to WDW. But for those of us who have 'hung' on here, I still expect a 'Magical' cruise like always!
Glad to have you aboard! Check out page 2, post 30 for all our information on this thread! You'll find FE information and our FB information. Right now, we're really not buzzing, but give us a few months? And I'll bet this thread will be busy, busy, busy!:)

I love the idea of a cut off, thanks for taking the led. Really appreciate you doing this for us.

:thumbsup2 Since we have No takers in someone other than this chick taking the lead, I'll make the FE cut-off at February 10, our pay off date. And no worries cruisers, this chick is all about mercy and grace, so late comers will have something to do..We'll help them start a new group and let anyone who wants to take part, do so!

Everyday brings a little more excitement for this cruise!!! Is it time yet? :rotfl: We have our 28th Anniversary in a few days, then Halloween, Annie (my daughter is in our local theatre's play) for 27 shows, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and it'll fly past all the holidays! Whew! Be here before we know it! :yay:  :dance3:

I've been in Annie twice, once as Tessie (Oh my goodness, oh my goodness!) and once as Lily St. Regis (I'm named after the hotel). That is a fun show!
It should fly by. Honestly, the last two weeks have, but for all the wrong reason (car totaled, pneumonia for DH and now my DS is home from school with a stomach bug).
God willing, we'll all survive until this cruise!
:thumbsup2

Thanks for the welcome! I will go and check out the FB page. Not sure whether we will participate in the FE yet. I am waiting until after our 10/13 cruise to see if I am burned out as I am organizing that one! LOL

The time will fly by for sure, especially with the holidays slapped in the middle. Haven't thought about ADRs yet. I think we are planning on a quick trip to MK to see the new Fantasyland openings and then probably head over to Epcot for the later afternoon/evening. ;)

So sorry about your car! And hope everyone was ok. NOT fun!!! And hope your dh and son are feeling better! Y'all have had some storms! Hopefully your on your way to health and can get all of your strengths back for the holidays and the cruise!

This summer has NOT been the norm for us either. Had to put down our beloved pet, and then the house flooded due to our 55 gallon aquarium bursting...Thought we were going to the beach, but the beach came to us! :rotfl: And it's still getting back together. So this cruise can't come soon enough for sure!:goodvibes

Don't feel bad on not knowing about the FE yet! I'm signed up, but still not definate yet. Still thinking about it and have to wait until after Christmas before I'll make my definate on that one. Would like to do what I did last time, but very time consuming and know I won't have time until January...:confused3

And like you, we are park hopping, so don't think I'm even headed toward making an ADR, because I don't have a clue on what park we'll hit first. I think I'll let dh and kids make that call. I plan everything else. ;)

Happy Friday Cruisers!!! We are now

:rotfl: Yes, 228 for WDW!!!! Though right now? That makes me tired:rotfl:...I know us, we'll KILL ourselves that day:eek:, running here and there, so I'm more looking forward to sea days, Key West, and CC! But for everyone else...keep those numbers coming!:goodvibes

My DD had screaming nightmares last night about having to leave Disney World.
She has never been.
I think it'll be interesting to say the least.

:goodvibes Bless her little heart! Just tell her Mickey and Minnie are waiting back on the ship, and she'll be so tired, she'll want to go back! I can't EVEN imagine her little excitement! Hope y'all can get on the early bus out so that she can see MK when it opens, all the Magic, Music and Wonder in her little eyes will be worth it! She'll love the new Fantasyland for sure! Now if you can just get her to NOT have nightmares!:scared1:

My ds had night terrors/walked in his sleep until he was 8, thought we might have to do something medically after the last time, because he walked OUT of the house, but thankfully, we learned what triggered his and they finally stopped! Hope your baby doll doesn't have them often and the only dreams she has will be how wonderful WDW and DCL is! pixiedust:
