APRIL 25,2012 5 night THE MAGIC KEY WEST CRUISE

Jessica - I'm a "fabulously fluffy" :clown:girl myself, but I have a cousin who is in the same weight situation as you, so I totally understand what you mean.

Even though I'm "fluffy" I'm still in decent shape. I've played softball all my life just about & took Hap-ki-do for 2 years before I tore my ACL doing a roundhouse kick to a guy's head.

Plus - I love to eat. I have changed my eating habits a lot the past few years (especially since Malachi was born). I would love to drop a few pounds before we cruise so that I can really enjoy all the dining options on board!popcorn::

I think that's a great idea! Maybe we could sing to all of them at the meet and greet??

Great kids are born on he 24th,,lol! You must have had your hands full when they were young planning two parties so close together!

@Andrea & Jessica---I think between your two 5 year olds and my ds we can get them into the kids club together. My little man (and after you see him you will see why everyone laughs at my nickname for him) is very independent and loves to hang out with other kids-the faster I leave him at preschool the better. :rotfl: We too are lookig for a little adult time since we have no family here and do not get any time alone!

Sound like we will have a good group of kids! My little one likes preschool but if he knows I'm around he may want to leave the club. No alone time here either, ever! You're right Jessica, bedtime equals alone time. Can't say I'll join the walk in the morning. Ive also recently lost some weight but I will just loose it again when I get back. Vacation and exercise don't go together for me!:)

Ok, Allison--I love this statement! I too am fabulously fluffy,,,used to be the girl that couldn't gain a pound until 3 kids later and well, I am such a yo-yo one year I am in great shape,,the next year not so much,,:confused3

I might have to do some walking with y'all,,just to keep off all the pounds I have lost that I KNOW I will put back on!

I start my low-carb diet today...I'll lose 20 in 40 days

I hear ya Don,,,I am starting my no-carb this week so hopefully can drop some more weight around the tummy area!

so looking forward to meeting all of you! :woohoo:

So not sure what everyone is planning on doing in Nassau,,but found this and I am pretty sure we are going to do it. It is walking distance from the ship and has access to beach/pools and includes a $30 voucher for adults for lunch and drinks and $10 voucher for kids. It is $50 for adults. $25 for kid 6-12 and kids 5-under free. I know MJ won't be happy that's it not on the ocean since he and the kids love the waves but still looks like a nice place to hang out at for the day for only $150 which for a family of 5 is pretty good. Any one want to join us????

Has anyone heard anything about the Sea Lice (jellyfish larva) that is supposed to be around in April in the Bahamas. Supposedly you get a rash that stings and burns?!?! Anyone know anything about this??

Good or you! I have taken years of Tae-kwon-do over the years. I can sympathize with you. I'm surprised I have never broken or torn anything with breaking and sparring. :). I did track in high school and still love to run...kind of a stress reliever. The stretches I learned in class are so helpful when running.

People ask how I stay so thin with the three kids, my repsonse is usually some thing like "have you seen me sit down yet?". I never get to sit down and just relax.

I was going to do the adults goody bag maybe on the day we are at sea. But I think I have enough stuff to pass out to stretch out the kiddie stuff for each day. I have labels that I will attach so that everyone knows who they are from!

Robin

PS- my mother in law still cannot get her embroidery machine to make my designs...... ugh! I may have to cut out felt! It's sad that she has a $5000 machine and it won't do what we need it to do! She can at least print our last name on it!

Is anyone using Disney rewards (From Disney Visa) on the ship? If so, how does that work? Do I tell Guest Relations that I have the card? Do I give them the info upfront?

I used it on the last cruise. You can just go to Guest Relations at any point during the trip and have all or part of your rewards added to your account. On the last cruise, I had enough rewards to cover all but just a few $$.

As to the FE's.... we are planning on delivering the gifts once during the trip.

I still haven't figured out how I am doing our names. Ugh. So much to do and NO time!

Hi all - With the FE gifts we are planning on dishing out gifts to every cabin across 4 days. Hope everyones having fun creating stuff! Are you all making your own actual FE's? We bought ours from Ebay on Jan 31st but yet to receive it, hopefully it turns up!

Malachi is a 1st degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and is currently working on his 2nd degree. He's taken TKD since he was 3, so it looks like you guys have something in common!

People ask how I stay so thin with the three kids, my repsonse is usually some thing like "have you seen me sit down yet?". I never get to sit down and just relax.

My problem is Malachi is always involved in one activity or another, so I end up just sitting around waiting on him to finish practices. Right now it is Monday-Destination Imagination & TKD, Tuesday-Baseball, Wednesday-Destination Imagination & Church, Thursday-TKD, Friday-TKD, Saturday-Baseball & Sunday-Church & Youth Choir. Plus, I work full-time & own my own photography business that I work on part-time. TOO MUCH! That's one of the reasons we decided to only have 1 child. Calgon - take me away! :wizard: In all reality, I probably could squeeze in some exercise while he's at baseball now that the weather is nicer around here!

Ewww, yuck!:scared:

I think we'll probably do ours on 1 day too. I'm still not positive yet. Malachi and I are making our FE out of duct tape. He had a blast last year with his Destination Imagination team creating cool & unique hats from duct tape, so when I saw a post on here about a duct tape FE, I knew we had to do it!

My son is testing tonight for his green belt in TKD. This is his first year and he has loved it.

He is wanting to make us a new FE out of duct tape. He got into doing duct tape wallets last year, and my daughter has made me some duct tape bow ties. I may actually bring one on the cruise to wear one night in her honor. :)

I did TKD for years. Modified after knee surgery and between me going to school full time, the kids, their activities and 2 heart surgeries I has to take a break. My instructor still keeps in touch and I get lessons when I can. When I stopped I was a green belt. Good luck on his test!

Ow! I thought my schedule was insane! I'm a stay at home mom but Monday's are girl scouts, tues and weds are sometimes free, thurs is Math club and boy scouts, fri is spent running in circles, usually a boy scouts activity and sat as well. Sun is church and ccd classes

Hey FE Group,

I bought a huge container of cable ties. I read somewhere that you should tie down your FE, so that they don't "fall" and get "misplaced". I will share the ties, because I will never need this many!

Robin

This is my first time doing the FE Group, so I am not sure if this is something that is done, but I was thinking we should name our FE Group? We each have our user name's, but do any of the DIS'ers use group names other than the specific cruise they are on?

BTW- some FE things I am personalizing, I am using our last name, is that against "the rules"?

Robin
