April 21-28 Crowded?

I've been reading posts researching our trip. I've booked April 21-28 with the current code that upgrades your tickets. Are spring breakers still going to be inundating the parks? We have flexibility and I can change to another week in order to go when the crowds aren't too bad.

BTW, DH and I are SNEAKING OFF to WDW without the kids!!! We find we can take a one week vacation ALONE and where else in the world would we go?

I think it'll be a good balance between crowds and weather. That's when we chose to go.

We were there in 2005 the week of April 25-May 1st and there were tons of Spring Breakers there during that time. Wait times were horrible and we only went on about half of the rides per park that we wanted. Maybe earlier that week it's not so bad but it did seem to us as if all of New York and New Jersey was down there at once.

I'm not positive, but if I remember right, some northern states, ie New Jersey
the schools have the last week of April off. Maybe someone else can confirm this.

We are going to be there 4/24-4/30 - so I hope it's not too bad! We were there the same week in 2004, and it was pretty good - longest line was only 10-15 minutes...

We were there that week in 2005 and the crowds were horrible BECAUSE Passover fell that week and many of the Northeastern schools including the NYC public schools had that week off for spring break. I'm pretty sure that week is usually much less busy than the rest of the month. We used TGM that week and easily rode/saw everything we wanted. No idea when Passover is this year but if it isn't that weekend you'll probably be in luck.

We are going that week-our school I think always has the last week in April off regardless of Easter or Passover(April 3rd this year).

I know 2 other families that are going as well--but from what I am reading it will be nothing like the true Spring Break crowds. I think most places have off the week before or after Easter.
Im not concerned, I think it will be great!

If we do take an April trip, this will be the week we go. I will have to take the kids out of school if we do it. Most of the schools around us in southern Jersey are off Easter week, as are the schools in our northern Jersey neighborhood before we moved. Jersey week is due to the teachers convention shutting down all the public schools and giving everyone an extended weekend.

Are we that bad that people intentionally avoid Jersey vacations?

We went last year and it wasn't too bad to get around the parks.

i say go for it. a week different shuldn't make that big of a difference. it's still better to get the fast passes. definitly worth it.
