Corryn...or anyone else with the answer can you explain the Rainforest Spa pass that you were talking about? What exactly do you do there?
Are any of you guys taking your kids out of school? We are on Spring break but we are leaving a few days early so I need to send in a letter to let the school know, but how early do you send your letters in? Cheryl
Rainforest Spa is my favorite! When we went on our four night cruise in April of '05, we took the tour of the spa. For $45 for the four nights, I was able to use the steam rooms and showers. It was wonderful.
It's called The Tropical Rainforest. Here's what the book says:
Is a thermal suite consisting of cozy saunas, steams and showers to help relax the mind, cleanse the body and soften the skin. Gentle heat slowly opens the pores and sinuses and helps clear the respiratory tract. Essences of eucalyptus, rosemary, lavender and passion fruit fill the air from different grottoes. To refresh and cool the body, a fog shower sprays a mist of cool freshwater over the body, while giving off the aroma of mint (my favorite!)
Also available is the Tropical Rain Shower, which pours monsoon like beads of warm water over the head and body. You can also relax on heated ceramic couches in the grottoes between sessions. (that's when I am all showered and I want to take a little nappy before dinner!)
So there you go....
While the early dinner seating is having their meal, I'm up in the Rainforest Spa relaxing and getting ready for My dinner at 8:00! My girls and my husband take their showers in the room. My girls generally start getting ready an hour before - they don't have to worry about doing their hair because they get it braided - they just shower and dress. Then my husband comes up last to get ready for dinner. Then we all meet in the cabin and head for the restaurants.
My girls are on their break right now. There wasn't much snow, so they get off all this week and return to school next Wednesday. Then they'll only be in school for eight more days before we pull them out for the cruise. I am going to wait until Wednesday before we leave to send in the notes to the teachers. Of course, because the girls don't want to miss anything, they'll keep their ears open beforehand....
Has anyone booked the Cozumel Dune Buggy Tours through Cozumel Home Vacations. My DW and DS(9) are booked.
One of my students went on a Norweigian cruise three weeks ago. She did this excursion through her cruise line, and she said it was so much fun.
I hope I'm not too late but, we found a decent garment bag at
Walmart!! We too looked everywhere and they were expensive. I forget what we paid but it was under $30 and it is fairly nice. It will do the trick.

I feel like George Costanza: I K N E W IT!!! I Knew it Jerry!!!! It's Out there, I'm tellin' Ya!!!!
We'll be taking a ride to Walmart tomorrow then! Thanks!!
This weekend DD (Caitlin) and I got together w/ DVC2THEMAX (Paula) DH(Kip) and DD(Casey) for lunch at Ruby Tuesdays. It was great!
Wow, Bill! What a great idea for you all to get together! I love going away with friends and other people I know. Even if you're not hanging out together the whole time, when you meet up and talk about what a good time you're having makes it so much better.
Corryn, we love NYC, Brooklyn theVvillage the Bronx, Rockaway Beach, Central Park, Battery Park and Long Island too. We use to go there all the time when we lived in Connecticut. We would take the train in most time, but would sometimes drive. We would sometimes go in and have a picinic in Cental Park, Go to the Bronx Zoo, go to a Yankees game (usually when they play the Red Sox), the Met what ever. I miss it. It has been over a year since I have been down there.
19 More Days til the Cruise.
My dad moved up to Norwalk when I moved out here to Long Island. It's really nice up there; what part are you from?
I know it's The Bronx, but it's still my small town, my hometown....I still live so close to the city, but I'm still far away, kinda like you are. Even driving in through Brooklyn to see my BF in Staten Island, or driving through The Bronx to visit my sister up in Rockland County, I get homesick. I really really really miss living there. The neighborhoods have definitely changed, but, you know....
I try to "Citify" the girls - Long Island girls and City girls are two different breeds...I like Long Island, but I'm glad I grew up there and not here. Now that they're getting older, I think they're seeing things from my point of view now. Let me stop now before my foot in mouth disease acts up again.....
But, be careful, because you can tend to save so much space that you can pack more and end up over the 50lb limit for the airlines. :
Amy is Right! I used to use the Space Bags - they were Awesome.......Before the weight limit! Like Amy said, it's a good idea to kind of spread things around or make sure you have another bag that doesn't have so much in it.
Another Seinfeld moment....
We were in Target yesterday and I had to use the bathroom. The girls came in with me. I go into a stalll and of course, when I was finished, THEN I noticed there was no TP. So I said,(loudly because a hand dryer was on) Kyra, Kyra, I need some toilet paper! Kyra, where are you? Tori? Tori? I need some toilet paper? Where are you guys!?!?! Then I didn't hear them, so I reached my hand under the stall into the next stall because I saw flip flops in there. I said, Excuse me, can you spare a square?

and the girl handed me a roll of paper. I said, wow, are you sure I can have the whole thing? Do you have enough over there? and she said, yes.
So I come out of the stall and there's two girls, around 11, and they're whispering and giggling and finished drying their hands and took off. Then I see Kyra - Tori is no where in sight, obviously embarrassed - and I said, Hey Kyra, why didn't you answer me? She gave me the stink eye and walked out.
It wasn't until after I walked out of the bathroom I realized how I must have embarrassed them both

Oh, God, it's so funny!!!!
All right; tomorrow is 17 days for us!!!!! Woooo Hooooo!!! Yowza Yowza Yowza!
