April 21, 2007 -- Western Magic -- anyone?

Well, DW and I will be celebrating 10 years on the cruise as well. Our actual anniversary isn't for 2 weeks later, but when we decided to book May dates weren't out yet. We have Sunday Palo reservations and I plan on giving her a pair of diamond studs :lmao: for our anniversary. Something I have wanted to give her for years and simply haven't gotten around to it.

Is it me or does Sanjaya look like he is embarassed to still be on the show when they picked Sundance and Brandon to go before him? He seemed to be sulking back to the chairs both nights. Like, I know I haven't earned this.

You can never go wrong with diamonds! :cool1:

I agree! He knows he is not as good as Sundance or Brandon. He should have "offered" his spot to Sundance last week.

Good morning everyone.

Corryn! Glad to see you're posting again.

Sanjaya should be embarrassed. He's just not good. I think Vote for the Worst is pulling him through for a while.

Tonight is "my" night of TV. I usually have Ugly Betty on while doing other things, then settle in for Grey's Anatomy. I think there are finally new episodes tonight - it's about time!

You know what's amazing to me about this thread? All the birthdays & anniversaries we are celebrating! There are quite a few of us celebrating our 10th anniversary - I just think that's so neat.

DH called me from work, and as soon as I answered, he said "Can we head to Florida yet?" We are so ready for this vacation it's not even funny.

I agree, I couldn't believe that Sanjaya was still around last night!!! Even though Brandon forgot his words, he's a MUCH better singer!! I agree that Vote for the Worst is behind it!! I can't believe that they're doing that, but I guess that's what makes it fun for them.

We're not quite celebrating our 10th yet. We're actually scheduled to go on another DCL cruise for our 10th over Christmas '08. I can't think of a better way to spend my 10th anniversary than a Disney cruise!!! And, I'm pretty sure that one other person is celebrating their 40th birthday like my DH.

I'm with you Amanda, this vacation can't come soon enough. And, I've been offered to work over Spring Break at my DDs preschool to help out with their Extra Care program. So, I figured that it's just more money for me to spend on STUFF on the cruise. Plus, we didn't have anything planned for Spring Break anyway (and Disney is a mob scene, so we won't be heading over there).

Well, I'm back to painting again today. The real color is going on above the chair rail today. But, even funnier, is that the hideous blue is still under the chair rail, since we're just covering it up with the new wainscotting. Ok, back to work for me. I'll stalk a little later!!!:rotfl2:

Molli--I just PM'ed you all my info (finally!)

Amy--I booked Captain Marvin's Stingray City excursion this morning! I guess I just need to wait for a confirmation email stating the availability. I saw the website says cash payment is preferred. Is that what you have done or just put it on cc? Do you tip them, too? Justin asked me last night if I had booked it yet or not. I think he's getting excited, too! We had decided awhile ago not to make any definite plans (except Palo) because we didn't know what to expect. We were just going to play it by ear, but he is excited about this...and especially since we will "know" someone else on it!

I went back and re-read some of the posts from yesterday, and I'm glad I did! I think the adrenaline rush from stalking made me miss some posts. :rotfl2:

BlueFalconer--since you're a kitchen guy, do you like Pampered Chef? I LOVE IT! I just had a show in January and got almost $500 for free! I have so much that even my consultant is jealous...

Amanda--I hope I wasn't rude the other night when I said I didn't like Sanjaya's hair after you said it looks like yours (on a bad hair day). I just didn't like it on him. I usually love curly hair, which is weird becuase I have natural curls, and usually those people with natural curls want straight hair and those with straight want curls. BTW--Grey's Anatomy is one of my favorites! But you could have guessed that already! :)

YAY FOR ALL THE BIRTHDAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES! :woohoo:

:lmao: Oh no, I didn't even think of it that way! I don't like that look on him at ALL. He looked like a girl. :sad2: Most days I love my curls. On days I don't, I have a huge clip and just twist & clip it back. Oddly enough, DD has zero curl to her hair. She got the color from me, but the fine straight hair from DH. Go figure!

Another Grey's fan huh? No, I'm not surprised a bit! Even DH will sit & watch it with me, and gets upset if its a rerun. It's our Thursday night "date" I guess....though he'd never admit to watching it. :)

I usually love my curls, too, except when its really humid! FRIZZ! I'm sure you can tell from my sig photos that I almost always pull mine back anyway...you can't even see my curls in the photos! Funny--I twist and clip, too!

My DH loves Grey's also! I really didn't think he would, but he is just as hooked on it as I am. He will actually admit to watching it, though.

Oh yes, humidity can really make a mess! I have an appointment to go get my hair cut before the trip. I've found if I keep it in layers, it's sooo much easier to manage. I just don't want too much gone though, so I can still grab a clip when needed. Every day this week I've had my hair pulled up with a clip. Laaaazzzzyyy. :rotfl:

Count me in as a Gray's and Ugly Betty fan too!! I love those shows. DH also watched it with me too.

I have to get my hair cut before we go to FL too. Layers works best for me too otherwise I would look like Dianna Ross did last night.

:rotfl2:

I thought it was funny on Tuesday night when they showed her working individually with them, when they went to hug her, they all got a face full of hair! :rotfl:

I saw that too. It was like they were hugging a furry lion.

:rotfl2: They needed that girl from the auditions singing (from the Wizard of Oz) "If I were the king of the fooooooorrrrrest...Ruff, ruff" during that part. Too bad I don't have a job in editing. I'd make up some doozies.

Sorry I'm not checking in too much today, but I've got tons of work to do, which is rare. I'll try to get done in the next few hours so we can stalk, I mean talk. ;)

Ok, I'm taking a dinner break from my painting!!!

Count me in for the natural wavy hair!! That's the only downside to living in Florida is the humidity in the summer. For the past few years, I've used that Frizz-eeze stuff and it seems to help. I haven't had a haircut in quite a LONG time, but I finally found someone to cut it. :cheer2: So, I'm hoping to get that done next week.

Finally! Just got done working...and, of course, now it's suppertime. But I just had to check in. It must have been a busy day for everyone. How's the painting going, Amy? I saw the confirmation email from Captain Marvin's, and they scheduled us with your family!

I had my hair trimmed last month. I don't get it done very often, just whenever the split ends start showing up. My hair is almost down to my butt, and Justin doesn't like it when I say I'm getting it cut, because he thinks I'll cut it all off! (Just becuase I did that one time doesn't mean I'll do it again--I regretted it.)

I'm off to the stove now. Hmmmm...What to have...

Now, finally time to surf while I watch Ugly Betty. :thumbsup2 Wow Val, you have really long hair! It would probably take mine 20 years to ever get that long. I grew out my bangs starting last fall, and they are just now long enough to pull them all back. All the curl has a lot to do with it though. When it's wet & straightened out, it's a lot longer, but as it dries, the curl makes it appear shorter.

It was 80 degrees again today. Rain moved in this afternoon, and it's only supposed to be in the high 40's this weekend. Ugh! I'm gonna freeze. :rotfl:

Wow, it's been quiet around here today, compared to yesterday!!! :rotfl2:

Val, I'm glad to hear that you guys are going to be on Capt Marvin's with us!! We'll have lots of fun!!!

I'm multi-tasking tonight by cleaning up the house and watching Ugly Betty & Grey's Anatomy! Usually I'm watching Survivor & CSI, but basketball is on, so I'll watch my other favs tonight! DH has been gone all night. He's on call for work and something BIG broke. Hopefully he'll be home soon. Thankfully his office is only a few minutes from the house.

Ok, back to cleaning!!!

I'm jealous of the 80 degree weather! We had two nice days and are now back to cold and windy and cloudy. BRRRRRR! My poor boys have been put in their lightweight jackets in the mornings to go to school, and they really needed their winter coats and mittens!! Just keep thinking thoughts of warm, sunny Caribbean days!! Can't wait!! I got my PassPorter book a couple weeks ago but haven't done much reading. I got through a good section of it so far tonight--nothing like waiting 'til the last minute!

When Justin was in Virginia last year, he said his customers laughed at him when he grabbed his coat to go to lunch "in case it's windy." They said the wind hardly ever blows there. It always blows in Nebraska!

Actually my hair was even longer when Hudson was born, but I cut it to about the middle of my back. Then, after Lennon was born, I had a bad hair day and made a horrible spur-of-the-moment decision to cut it to shoulder length. (This is exactly the look on Justin's face, too!) Bad mistake. So I've been growing it back out since then, but it still isn't as long as it had been at one time.

I think it was so quiet becuase we all had to catch up on the things we haven't been doing this week because we were here instead! No, actually, I just got swamped with work, and one of my doctors needed something ASAP, which meant more running around for me, too. And you, of course, were busy with your painting. Poor Amanda...did you think we were neglecting you?

Justin is excited for the excursion, too! I told him I thought I remembered you saying you have a SPH. "How did they get that?!?!?!" Booked on day 1 a LONG time ago, right? Good for you! We're Cat 8 hoping for deck 5. Maybe we'll be neighbors, too!

We booked it back in Sept '05!!! We were on the DVC member cruise and decided to rebook for DHs 40th birthday. We've had the SPH for both member cruises (got lucky on that), so we happily booked it again.

Did you guys book cat 8 guarantee? I did see that there is still a cat 8 (I think that it was 5018) on deck 5 available. We really like that location a lot, but heck, I'd be in any cabin just to be onboard!!!!

HEY! NEW PICTURES! I LIKE! They're so cute! :thumbsup2 I think more people need pictures in their sig so I know who I'm "talking" to! So is anyone else besides us going to be at the terminal as soon as they open? ;)

Yeah, we're gty. We didn't have the slightest idea what to pick since we were so uninformed when we booked. Our initial thought was that we would hopefully upgrade to a verandah, but I would love it if we just stayed a porthole. When we initially talked to the TA, she told us that only the deck 5 cat 8's were gty (not the cat 8's on decks 6 or 7), so we thought that would be great with OC right there, but two days later when she actually booked it for us, I think she said that all cat 8's were gty. How can you tell if a room is booked or not? I keep checking our reservation online to see if it has a room # listed yet, but so far, it still just says gty.

We're usually at the terminal pretty early. I like it a LOT better now that you don't have to stand in line to wait for boarding. Anyway, we usually target being at the port between 10 & 10:30, so that we get a low boarding number. Then, we just check Emily into the club in the terminal, get her wristband, then just hang out until boarding.

If you want to find out what cabins are open, just to go the website and try to make a new reservation. Then, you can go to Choose Stateroom and it'll give you the available ones. Last time that I checked, there was at least one cat 8 on deck 5 available. You should see a cabin number soon, since we're getting down to the last weeks.

Ok, it's 1:20am and I'm going to bed!!! Nighty night!!!
