April 21, 2007 -- Western Magic -- anyone?

I am going to bring along DD's Princess dresses and a few other outfits. I figure once she sees others dressed up, she'll want to do it also. Plus I'd just LOVE to have some of her photos with the Princesses, when she's dressed up. We'll have to check the Navigators & plan accordingly. :)
If my girls were little, I'd let them wear the Princess dresses to dinner Every Night! They'd want to, too :)
It's the appropriate place and time for those dresses anywayprincess:

Asked DH if he wanted to rent a tux....:lmao: ! Suit it will be. He'll wear it for both formal and semi-formal night, just change the shirt and tie. Boy, guys are lucky. I just need a couple more pantsuit type outfits and I'll be set.

Anyone doing or has done the Tulum ruins tour in Cozumel? DH wants to see the ruins while we are there and this sounds like a good way to do it. It's a long tour. Just hope its a good one.

My DH wants to do the Xcaret Eco Archeological Park that we heard on
this board was awesome. Anywone thinking og this one he can get together with? 22 days to go before we can book our excursions.pixiedust:

I'm a little confused on the date/time for this, can anyone help?

As I understand Palo reservations go quickly and for CCL members you can make these 90 days out. In our case, 1/21/2007.

Is it necessary to do this at 3:00 AM on 1/21? Does everyone make their ressies online?

THANKS!

Laura,
If you want a specific date and time you need to make reservations on 1/21. When I went on the 11 Day Cruise, I had no trouble making the reservations for Palo on that date. I had a good friend who waited and until a month prior to the cruise and all times and dates were taken.
Also if you plan to take Shore Excursions, it is best if you make them on line as early as possible.

If any of you would like a copy of my excel spreadsheet packing list, please email me and I will forward it onto you.
I found it extremely helpful on my last trip.
I created it based on all the info gathered from my last 4 cruises.

:lmao: I am glad to see I'm not the only one with spreadsheets. It's hard to remember every little thing, and if I don't write it out when I think about it, I probably never remember again. :rotfl:

evenin' cruisers :)

where's Sherry? she LOVES to chat about dinnerwear :lmao: this is the first cruise (I hope!) i won't have to purchase too much in the way of clothing. i have a few nicer dresses, think Kaufmanns, Macys -- same for my DD 14, Taylor. For my youngest DD 10, Limited Too dresses. This is a great time of year for markdowns at Limited Too, not sure about adult dresses. my DH, Preston, will wear a suit/tie for formal and most likely a tweed type jacket for semi. no tux for him :upsidedow

DDs and I just really started looking at excursions tonight. Taylor and I did a horseback riding at Costa Maya, not sure how it would compare to Cozumel? It was slow paced, not really any trotting; but fun in a slow paced way. Gotta look at those dolphin swims in Cozumel. Last year I had it booked well in advance, then hurricanes hit. this time I don't know what's come over me but i did nothing!

i'll be bringing my lanyard and pins to trade. i'm not a fanatic but DDs and I have fun with it.

hey OhMom,
my DD's are 13 & 14 and they started a thread...you can direct your daughter over there to the teen board if she wants to chat with my girls and a couple of other teen cruisers (I think they're 13 or 14, too)

My friend said something about the horseback riding, but I've heard sooo many good things about XCaret...I'm still undecided.

corryn -- i'll let my DD know. she's not really into 'dis'time (GASP!) but as time comes closer i'm sure she'd like a little chatting with some gals.

SourMug,

Your packing list is awesome! I definitely will not forget anything (Though I may need to go out and buy more suitcases). :)

I crown you queen of "The Excel Spreadsheet". :wizard:

Thanks Again! Look forward to meeting you on the ship!

Does anyone know which night will be pirate night? I want to book palo's for that night.

I think that it's the same night as Grand Cayman. But, I'll see if I can find out for sure!!! Stay tuned!!

Ok, I checked an October Western Navigator and Pirate night is the same night as Grand Cayman and Twice Charmed (WD Theatre).

Thanks for the info alikat99!

Corryn, dress up is not our cup of tea, matey. Me thinks planning for a pirate outfit is too complicated. It also seems like it might be an easy night to get Palos. Aaarrrggghh!

Hi All!
I haven't been here for quite awhile and now just noticed there's been some action so I had alot of catching up to do! Here's our refresher info...me, DH & DS (10)

I just checked my navigators from last year and Pirate Night was on Wednesday which was the Cozumel day. I don't know how you could find out for sure, maybe this year it will be different. I agree that Palo would be great on that night. I might be in the minority here but once you've seen the Pirates IN the Carribean party I don't think you'd need to do it again. However, the dinner was very good, you get a bandana and you can keep the actual menu (great scrapbooking material!)

We have our airfare and are arriving in Orlando on Friday too. I haven't booked a hotel yet, I'm checking hotwire everyday for the Hyatt but no luck yet.

I haven't received anything about excursions- when should that have come?! I think we'll try different things this year so I can't wait to get all the information but I have a pretty good idea of what's available. I'll have to wing it since we can start booking Sunday (1/21)

Good luck with all of your reservations!!
