April 2016 PTR: Today, laundry. Tomorrow, Disney!

It's the final countdown

All of this planning has come to this. Tomorrow is Disney day! I didn't get as much planned out as I kind of hoped to, but I kind of like the freedom to just roam about. I'm weary about this trip. I have a feeling it's going to be absurdly hot and incredibly packed. I have my fingers crossed that I'm wrong, but I can always adjust my minuscule plans as needed. This is also a trip where I'm not quite sure what to expect. It still seems oddly wrong to not be staying at a Disney Resort, and I think that feeling has kind of directed my plans. Some of the ease of heading back to the room has disappeared, which could be a benefit or a detriment, depending on how things go. I like being able to take a little break in the middle of the day when it's just ridiculously hot out, but I may be enticed to do other things that I have pushed off in the past in favor of heading back to the room. It's definitely going to be interesting. Staying off site has also adjusted my eating plans. Since I have to leave the park to go back to the room at some point, maybe heading out a little earlier and exploring the local restaurants has more appeal than it otherwise would. It's definitely a more affordable option. I believe that my room has a little kitchenette as well. It's kind of nice to have the option of doing a quick breakfast to get me through the morning, rather than hitting up Disney on an empty stomach and having a heavy focus on getting a meal first. There are definitely some positives that I hadn't really considered on previous stays when I've been completely immersed in the Disney bubble.

So I think that this will end up being a wrap. It hasn't been my most productive PTR in terms of planning, but it's definitely opened up my mind a little more to living outside of the bubble while doing a Disney trip. We'll see how it treats me during the week. In the meantime, a live trip report will begin some time tomorrow in the afternoon and continue throughout the week.

Goals that I hope to hit:
More pictures than any previous trip
More variety
New foods and drinks
New rides

To infinity, and beyond!
