April 2015 question

I did several searches on the board, but can't seem to find what I'm looking for, so I apologize if this has been asked before

I am researching approximate price and accommodation options for April 2015, the week after Easter, which coincides with my spring break and is my only option.

I know that 2015 rates have not been released yet, so I have two questions:

1) Does anyone know what the approximate teacher rate at the Swan would be for that time period (4/3-4/11) based on past years?

2) I know this past year they released a room only discount in January starting about two days after Easter. Do you think it is a bad idea to wait until January to book to see if a similar rate comes out? I would likely book a split stay.

Just trying to get a handle on all of my options, so I appreciate any hep!

1) Be forewarned of the additional fees per night at the swan. Those are not included in the rate. I don't know how much there are but I know they exist.

2) That's a personal decision. I always book the resort I want, then apply any discounts when they are released. NOTE: I book room-only so this isn't a huge issue. I have heard that with a package, you often have to cancel the first reservation and start a new one to apply the discount.

I'm debating the same issues, in the same time frame! I found a list of historic discounts on Mousesavers.com and they do appear to offer room discounts shortly after Easter. According to my travel agent, you can book a room at rack rate, and apply whatever discounts come out later.

Hi the teacher rate is $139 per night.

The teacher rates are not this low. If you go to the Swan website and click "Special offers" then the "teacher discount" section you can plug in your dates. I got 279.00 for early April.
