Hello we are a family of five looking to book our trip for next spring to our favorite vacation spot. Our question right now is when do they start allowing booking for April 2014. When I look on the WDW website it allows you to pick dates for 2014 all the way up until about may. When I enter my dates for April it gives me the list of resorts and then I can't select any and when I do it says change your dates these dates are not available. So if anyone could help me that would be great!

They haven't released them online yet. You can call them or work with a travel agent (this is what I did) and they can book you a room only so you have your spot. Then when packages come out you can apply them.

This is correct that you can book room only now by calling. You will be quoted the highest rate for 2013, which will automatically be adjusted once the 2014 rates are released. If you want to book a package or book online, you have to wait until the 2014 rates are released. New rates have been known to come out in August, but have been released as early as June/July the last 2 years. Keep in mind that if you book room only now and want to change to a package later, the room only will have to cancelled/refunded and a package booked, requiring a new $200 deposit. Since room only and packages are different reservation systems, money paid toward one cannot be applied to the other.
