We are trying to rent a car and have tried Alamo and thrifty and Dollar rent a car. They are all for a week. All are in the high $300 range. We are flying into West Palm Beach and flying out of Ft Lauderdale. No Disney vacation this year. Husband wants a beach vacation.

Dollar rates are way down right now! Just got a full size for 10 days for $150 for all fees, etc. 04/23 - 05/02

No code, just city special. That's much cheaper that the smaller car I have reserved through National w/the KLM code.

Used KLM code found on these boards and used National. I also signed up for the Emerald Aisle. I don't remember the KLM code. I had ripped up all my old papers once I made the reservation and there is no number of the KLM code on my reservation, just that I used one. This was the only coupon/contract code I could get to work for National. When using others that I found here and at Mousesavers.com, it always came up as invalid. I called National and she said that it's saying invalid because those coupons have reached their limit.

Dollar is super cheap right now - just booked a week for $100 including all taxes and fees for a midsize!

Wow, I just checked Dollar and was able to get a full size for 04/12 - 04/18 (6 day 4hour rental) for $118 including tax. It pays to check every day!

My dates (4/5-4/13) are still really high on Dollar to pick up at MCO. But I tried their Downtown Disney location (at Wyndham) and the price dropped in half!

If you belong to AAA do a google search for Dollar AAA code and it will display a code for your state that takes $1.00 per day off the rental and a dollar or two off the final total. Enough for a gallon or two of gas.
