Airfares for 3 @ $4.5K...do you wait or not? It's a bit like the Aussie Dollar! Who knows?
If you get an Annual Pass, that would mean that you'll need to head back within the year....

$4.5k doesn't seem bad, but i'd spew if they dropped, I think we'll watch for a little bit and see what happens.

About to email Disney to see how much we could save on a stay with an annual pass, if we save more than $148USD it's a no brainer...

At least 10% off your room with an AP. Plus possibly merchandise and for sure most dining.

Only the person who pays needs the AP to get the discount for the group. So maybe 1 AP will work.

I'd be cool with $4.5k, esp if it's school holiday period. Don't forget the fuel surcharge has gone up heaps recently so I don't think it would be heaps less. Is that Qantas or V?

On the accommodation you may be able to rent points for the Villas. might works out a bit cheaper too.

Have you considered Air NZ? We flew with them, loved everything, and our flights were (in January) approx $1400 for adults to LA. But it depends on individual preferences.

We've decided we're not telling DS, it's going to be a surprise (8 month long surprise see how that goes)

Now it's all I can think about!

Booked a flight yesterday at the US travel show for April, Melbourne to LA(via Sydney). Was about $1250 with United. If you get into Flight Centre ASAP you may still be able to get the same price.
United aren't my favorite airline but for that price for a family of five I am willing to compromise.

Vegas.....ahhhhh good times.

We have NOTHING like it here, its not disney, but OMG its awesome in a strange, train wreck kind of way.

Hotels are great, and you can get great deals......

Want to go back, and will take the DH this time...think Hens night on steroids..
