April 2011...Easter crowd?

We have had to reschedule our trip several times this year and are now thinking about April vacation, which for us is the last week of April starting the 25th. But next year Easter falls on the 24th. I have never been for Easter but know the crowds can be insane. What are everyone's thoughts as to just how insanley busy it will be this year since it falls in the middle of 2 popular April school vacation weeks? Am I nuts to even consider it?
Also how long are people there that go just for Easter in years past is it just a weekend thing for most?

I'm assuming the week before Easter is going to be a bit nutty, and the week after it should be better. I know that Mass has their spring vacation between the 17 and 24..not sure about anyone else. We will be at WDW from the 21st to 24th....I'm ready for extrodinary crowds. I'm pretty sure there will be a lot of NE accents to be heard that weekend.

DH and I will be going the third week of April probably for the 16th to the 21st. I'm pretty scared about all the crowds but being that I work in a school there is not much that I can do.

I think the week before Easter will be a lot crazier - a lot of schools in the NE have the 3rd week off in April, regardless of when Easter is, and this year, it's the week before Easter.

Thanks for linking to that poll. Maybe it won't be so bad or at least the crowds should get lighter as the week goes on.

It is hard to predict.Our school District has pushed our Spring Break till then,Other schools are having it earlier and just a day or 2 off around Easter.I think it will still be busy

We have gone during Easter a few recent times, and it was not as bad as we thought it was going to be! It is a little crazy, but not TERRIBLE. Disney is always crowded because everyone LOVES it.
