I was waiting for an April thread too!

We are arriving 22 April and staying until the 27th when we are leaving for the Disney Wonder LA to Vancouver cruise. 11 days off work - I won't want to go back

We are staying at our beloved HoJo.

Well I'm glad to finally get it set up then! Very excited that you'll be taking the cruise right afterward. Someday, somehow I will go on a Disney Cruise. Heck, 11 days off work period sounds divine.

Hi there,

I'm Chris and my husband and I are taking our girls (ages 5 and 8) for their first trip in April. We are doing 3 nights at Disney (April 7th-10th) and then heading to San Diego for 4 nights (Seaworld, beach, zoo etc.).

I'm so excited.

So far we have reservations at the Tropicana, but I'm still looking around. Unfortunately HoJo is much more expensive on our dates, so I'm still searching around.

My husband has been to WDW but not DL, and I'm the opposite. It's been 17 years since I last went to DL so I know it's all going to be new to me again!

We are going to be there April 4 - 13. My husband, myself, our 5 yr old daughter and our 4 year old son. First time at DL and last year was our first trip to DW (which we absolutely loved). We are staying at the Howard Johnson. Looking forward to it and should be lots of fun; just concerned about the crowd factor as it is so hard to judge when to go with Easter being so late and spring breaks being any where from mid March to late April. Oh well, what ever it is I know we will have a great time; but less line waiting with a 5 & 4 yr old is definately better.

Do you mean the Grand Californian? Or the Disneyland Hotel? Both of which are amazing, but boy oh boy do I love the GCH. Any time I am there I never, ever, ever, ever want to leave. I hope you all have a great time for your first trip to Disneyland! And don't forget to get the 1st Visit buttons when you're there.

It can make it hard to figure out, but a good time is always to be had!

You'll absolutely love it there!

As for the 1t Visit buttons, you should be able to ask for them when you check in to the Hotel. They should have a selection of them there although I've only gotten the Birthday ones at the hotel before. Barring that a quick stop at City Hall upon entering Disneyland (it'll be to your left upon entering and walking through the tunnels beneath the railroad) will secure you some for your entire family. The buttons are a great way to help you celebrate occasions at Disneyland from 1st visits to birthdays, anniversaries and more. You get a little extra attention from CM's and characters and whatnot when they know you're celebrating something.
