April 2009 Code Watch

I don't know if its been started or not. Historic release dates range from Oct. to Feb. We're looking at mid April '09.

I am looking for a deal in April too... my mom and I are going to take my son for 4-5 nights, depending on schedules and what kind of a deal we can get. I want either early April or late April/May... we want NO part of the busy school vacation weeks!

I am with you on April, but we are going the week before Easter for a few days so I am guessing probably NO codes.

Remember Easter Sunday is April 12th, so don't wait for codes the week before or the week after. Book the resort you can afford to pay without any discount. If the economy continues to worsen, then there is the possibility you might see a discount, but how many will be willing to go or afford to go. I'm still glad I bought into the DVC in 2005 as our trips are paid for for the next 50 years.

Count me in Discount or not . Already booked our airfare on the way down for 56$ Per person We always stay on property but were not opposed to staying off. The values are $134 with tax the wk of Easter without the price increase for 2009. There were no discounts in 2007 the two wks surrounding Easter. Lets keep our fingers crossed that booking will be down

Subscribing!!! Not sure thtwe will be booking a trip for 2009, but I am certainly interested to see what the new rates are! Just got back from a great week long trip in April but already want to go back!! Maybe in 2010... But I have my fingers crossed!!!

Wow! That's amazing. Good for you. I checked Air Tran from our airport and the cheapest is $189.00 one way.

I have already booked for April 2009. I don't really know much about codes, but if there is one - how will I know about it? And if so, will I have to cancel my reservations and re-book with a code? Please enlighten me! Thanks!!

Just had to cancel our free dining ressie. DH has big project at work and can't go. Kids don't want to go without dad.

I can't wait a whole year, therefore looking for any kind of discount in April.

I had to "dig" up this thread so I thought I would give it up with an idea/wish I thought of

This is what I was thinking about codes and easter/spring break.
Last yr there was absolutly no discounts the wk before or after Easter but other holidays in the past like 4th of july and thanksgiving only had the few days surrounding the holiday blocked off with no discounts.So maybe this we'll be the case in April 09 and some of us can get at least a few days with an AP or GP room discount. I know this probably won't happen but a girl can wish You never know with the economy being down an all.

I don't know where you live/ airport you use but I had to book DH on a flight 2 days later than us and Delta had there last flight out the night before good friday(4-9) at 109 plus tax. It may be worth checking

What was the "deal" this year in April ? When we went this past March, Waterpark tickets and "hopper" were added on our tickets for free. That has been the deal for last few years in March. Anything happen for April? AFTER Easter, say last week....what's the history for April?

The last week if April this year, my brothers family was able to add the water park and more option for free. However, Easter was in March not in April like it is in 2009. I'm really hoping for something special the last week too. We want to leave around the 17th and return on the 26th. This is DD's school vacation week. I read os the forum today that park ticket prices are going to increase on August 3rd. Hopefully packages for 09 wont be far behind.

My girlfriend went April 2007 and got the Free add on option too. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I know the deal for March was released in OCT. , so hopefully , sometime before Christmas we'll know!

Price increase in Tickets??? wow!
I didn't expect that. They have gone up every year now for the past 6 years we have been going. I thought they would give us a break!!
I think it was only 6 years ago we paid $39.00 a ticket??

We'll be there April 16 - 21st. DS is going down with his high school marching band to perform.

I'm hoping to get a bounce back when DH and I go in October, that would be awesome! When DH and I went in May we were able to bounce back for October, so maybe there is a chance? Flights are still a huge concern for me right now. SW won't open up till sometime in late Sept/Oct and Delta right now is

Regardless though, we aren't going to miss our son marching down Main Street USA, you can't put a price on that.
