April 2, 2011 - 7 Night Western Caribbean

I took the easy way out and ordered one as well (we've got two cabins but I'm just doing one FE). I'd also really like to know the gift guidelines, although I think it's pretty much whatever you want to do (family gift or individual). I never joined a FE group before because of the huge number of people participating -- just seemed a little overwhelming taking gifts for 100s of people. Our list is much more manageable:)

Yes the FE gifts are pretty much however you want to do it. Thank goodness our group is the smallest we have ever participated in. Our cruise in Nov 2009 had a HUGE amt of cabins participating. I spent quite a bit of time delivering those gifts, but it was fun - I did it in the middle of the night and the ship was so incredibly quiet.

As for hanging your FE, try to remember to bring a zip tie or something similar to secure it so there is less chance of the FE "walking off". Just make sure you don't pull the tie too tight making hard to cut off at the end of the cruise.

Hi there,
We lived in the Atlanta area a few years ago. When my husband retired from the Army we moved to the Augusta area. I love Georgia.
We were just in Atlanta last weekend for my daughter's Cheersport competition all weekend. Miss it there!
Glad to hear you will be sailing with us.

my aunt & uncle live in ATL! were flying out of there when we go on the cruise! my sister was a cheersport, she cheers for RAH! Spirit in tennessee. they got first ! :)

So I can be PM'd also. Here are a few of my Disney Cruise tips:

1. Over-the-door shoe holders are a MUST. Not only can they hold shoes but also toiletries, curling irons, brushes, medications, accessories, etc.
2. Could not live without a power strip for charging camera, video camera, video games, using extra hair dryer, curling iron, plugging in light up clock that I bring.
3. Definitely take alcohol on board with you. We bring many bottles of wine in a carry-on bag. We get coffee cups w/ lids from the beverage station, fill them up in our room and carry them to dinner.
4. Take extra plastic clip hangers to hang up wet bathing suits in your closet (they provide a few clip hangers but not enough for us).
5. Take magnetic clips to keep all the papers you get out of the way (you can put them on the inside of your door).
6. Bring a laundry bag or garbage bag to put dirty clothes in (can keep on bottom of closet).
7. Don't take too many clothes!
8. Don't miss any of the shows -- they're fabulous!

Here's to an amazing trip... we can't wait!

Awesome tip... never would've thought of that! Thanks so much for mentioning it.

Just got my docs today too!!!

Re my DD, she wants to talk to other 12/13 year olds, so pm me once you can!

These are some really helpful tips! It is my husbands and I first cruise and any advise is truly appreciated.
I can't wait either :cool1:

I'm so glad!

If you have any questions about anything, please don't hesitate to ask.

Hi,
We (myself, hubby and 9 yr old daughter)just confirmed our plans for this cruise and found this forum. How fun!
We've been to WDW too many times to count, are DVC members and have traveled to Italy with Adventures by Disney but this will be our very first Cruise. This forum will come in handy with all of your tips and ideas.
BTW, what are FE and can we participate?
Thanks.

Oooohhh! Excited to see cruise docs are making their way in! I better head to the mailbox today to see if ours are in too! So exciting!

Nope. Nothing in the mail yet. *sigh* Guess we will be calling the TA Monday morning!

Thinking about shipping my FE stuff to the ship. Save some space in my luggage. Has anyone done this before?

We got our documents in the mail today!!!
It lists us all as silver Castaway Club members except for my DD (6) Not sure why cause DD(5) was even listed as silver member.

Now time to think about what we need to pack :) Thanks for all the tips!!!

That is too funny! On the bright side, there are worse honors for a city -- most dangerous, most polluted, most congested:)

Hi everyone,

We just got back from a week at WDW. Although we had a great time, I am not sure we will EVER do Presidents day week again. Very crowded :scared1:

Our cruise docs were in the pile of mail when we returned!! How fun! We are in stateroom 5624.

I can't believe it is almost March!

Yea! Received my cruise documents today as well. Sick of the cold, snowy weather. Can't wait for the warm weather.
