I'm so excited we have more people joining in on the FE! I just got mine in the mail yesterday. Now to figure out gifts.

There are no hard set rules on the gifts. They can be homemade or store bought; to do with the cruise or from your hometown or just something fun. You can give out on any day you would like and can give as often as you wish.

This is my first time doing the FE so I'm going off other posts I have read here on the DIS. If anyone has first hand experience please jump in.

Next week I will send a PM to everyone in the FE group to get names, email addresses, cabin numbers, and any possible allergy information or restrictions. Once I collect all of that I will create a spreadsheet to email out to each person. I know some are not comfortable having their names and cabin numbers posted here on the internet and I want to respect their privacy.

We have done FE on two of our cruises and what you have said is pretty much how it works. The gifts we have received have been anything from handmade to store bought. It is amazing the ideas some people come up. As for delivery of the items, we personally have done it very late the first night both times, but people deliver the items all times of the day. Just decide what works best for you.

Hi there,
This will be our very first cruise. We are very excited but still nervous too.
It will be me, my husband, our 13 year old daughter Courtney and our 6 year old daughter Bella.
I know that my younger daughter will be fine once she gets intop her age group fun area but my teenager is very shy and is not really excited to go to the teen area...that will change as she feels comfortable. I am hoping that she will meet someone on thedis boards before we cruise.

Also, my 13 year old gets motion sick from car rides that are more than an hour long. What do ytou suggest we do for her? Or do you not notice the shipo is moving?

We haven't planned any extra activities yet as we have no clue what the areas are like and how safe it is to go inland too far. We will start trying to plan a few things such as snorking, swimming with the dolphins, etc.

Does anyone have a clue what the weather will be like? What type of clothing to pack?

Hey! I'm Chloe and I am also 13, I would love to talk to Courtney if she wants, so we could hang out on the cruise! We could e-mail or, if she has a facebook we could talk that way!

Working on the finishing touches for our fish extender and starting to put items together for gifts! Then it will be on to door magnets and pirate outfits!

My husband thinks that I am nuts packing extra stuff but I know that he will be the first one running to check and see if anything is in the FE!

We can hardly wait! C'mon April 2nd!

We also will be staying aty the airport Hyatt the night before we cruise.

What type of things on board are there for adults to do? I am sure the ids will leave us standed...

On our first cruise, DH and I had one "date night" (our kids were still pretty young and didn't like to be left alone at the kids club) We weren't sure what to do so we went to check out the nightclubs. All of them were pretty empty. Maybe we had gone too early; It was about 8 or 9. I had been hoping there would be karaoke or we could people-watch but there was just not much going on. We ended up sitting in a piano bar and listened to a pianist and talked to a server. On this next trip we are thinking we may try watching a movie or participate in the wine/beer tasting, We also like to just sit and read LOL,
I would also be interested in finding something for adults to do because I hope my girls will be more willing to stay in the clubs this year

I have been reading about the fish extender and really like the idea. I am somewhat crafty and think I could construct one ( Or buy one if my attempt turns out to be a dud.) Is it too late to join the list for FE's?

My husband and I are from the Chicago area and we have been wanting to take a nice vacation since our Honeymoon 3 1/2 years ago. We have been searching for a vacation to take and thought a cruise would be perfect. I love Disney and have read all the positive reviews about the cruises and decided to book!

I am excited about the trip and have been reading tons of posts on this board. I agree there is a wealth of information and I greatful for it.

I am looking forward to the warm weather and to the many memories the cruise will make !

Can you please tell me exactly how the FE group works.
I signed up to be a part of the group but I am not sure about the rules.
Do we need to provide a gift/goodie for each family participating, or for each person in each family participating?
What are acceptable gifts?
