Hello Everyone! My DH and I just found this board. This will be our first Disney Cruise and we are so excited!! DD will be 7 ans DS will be 4 during the cruise. Like many of you we were up at midnight last night booking excursions, no wonder the site was so slow!!

Here is our itinerary if anyone would like to give us any tips, we would greatly appreciate any advice:

4/18- Fly in, Stay at Radisson at the port
4/19- Get onto ship ASAP (Can anyone shed some light on this....procedues, etc....)
4/20-Figure out something to do on our own.....Suggestions???
4/21-Day at Sea
4/22-Grand Cayman, Pirate Encounter
4/23- Cozumel, Dolphin Encounter
4/24- Sea
4/25- Castaway Cay, Glass Bottom Boat, Palo for Dinner
4/26- cruise over

Any suggestions, comments, etc. are surely welcome

Flying in on the 18th staying at the sheradon coco beach (free shuttle to port and beach access next to ron jons and has a big surf shop school and travel center DD will love the surf theme)

Did not plan any excursions, figure all the island visits were friendly enough to taxi/ walk and go it alone

This is a DVC trade for us. Our 8th disney cruise, 4th western did 2 easterns and the 3 and 4 day wonder.

We have also cruised on the big red boat, rccl mariner, norwegian jewel, and caribbean princess.

When we leave the cruise we head to ft. lauderdale to pick up the caribbean princess for a 4 day to grand turk and princess cay.

DCL is deffinately cream of the cruise crop.

conny - absolutely we'll have a great time on Tulum excursion. I can't wait, that's something I really, really am looking forward to. Still trying to decide on Palo. Those that liked it.. could you tell me what it is that makes it so special? I'm just trying to decide if I want to do it or not.

Michelle - Presuming you're at 11:45 for the Pirate Encounter now?
Regarding family pictures (which I think is a great idea!) I could do a page on my website if you want. When you say "private" are you saying it was password protected? I don't know if that's necessary because I could just email folks that asked with the URL (i.e., not link it anywhere but give the URL to those who asked). That way the only folks that would know where it is are those that I gave the URL to... IMO that's safe enough becuase I doubt folks are going through the web looking for things like this but I know other folks are more concerned about privacy. Let me know what you think. Oh, and about John and Kate Plus 8 -- not into the show, but one of the things I do in my newsletter every week is list upcoming shows that involve Disney in some way (thanks to TVKirby's website) and I remember that that show featured some clips of Disney about a week or so ago. Did you catch that show?

stichu2 - my son is 12. Would Caitlyn like to get a PM (under your name) from my son Joey so she can get to know him before the cruise? I know he's enjoyed getting to know other kids on the cruise.

Joan - I'm glad you're going to update the spreadsheet.... I'm a bit behind on pictures and the hyperlist. LOL for volunteering me to post the pictures!!!! That sounds fair enough.

Okay... I'm gonna put the hyperlist on the next post because this one's gotten long enough. But I'm having a GREAT time getting to know everyone. I can't wait to actually meet everyone on the cruise. Oh, I know we have our 2pm meet but I was just thinking about the Sail Away Party as well. You know, if we all kind of group together for the party (i.e., be in the same location on deck) I'm sure we'd be one of the most active groups on deck. I'll bet several of us would end up on Arial view (I think they do crowd shots, don't they?). See, I could hoop and holler and then get out of the way so the camera could see everyone else. It'd be like pulling the theater curtain back (and me not even in a formal at that point -- cheap theater curtain). What'dya think?

Denise, Good morning! I actually was surprised to see that myself, it must had been my husband that did that! He thinks the name is a riot!!!! But thanks just the same! We just tried to book palo, and there was only 630pm on the first night available. So we took it , will try to re schedule on board as well as try for hi tea and brunch..... I forgot about the 90 days out booking window oh well.

I've been to Brewster! I remember the first time Jim took me to New York we stayed with his sister and her husband and they lived in Brewster at the time (hubby worked for the railroad)(she now lives here in Tally). I remember the night we went into the city.... this non public transportation knowing girl (me) had a great time with the bar cart guy that was riding the train back into the city after seeing all the commuters home. And then we tooled around the city for a while... saw Times Square, climbed up on the lions at the public library and had a picture taken... just had a young adult pre-kids fun night. When we got back to Brewster I remember there was a bar (probably called the Whistle Stop if I remember right) that we went to and had a blast. If memory serves we closed the place down. It was a wonderfully trip and I have to smile every time I hear the town mentioned.

Now I'll have another reason to smile as I'll know a new friend that lives there.

I just changed that.. and added "for President" becuase one of the ladies here at the office said I should.

As far as the family pictures go, just send 'em my way and I'll get 'em posted.
