April 18th, 2009! - PATRIOT'S OF THE CARIBBEAN - Western Magic!

Hello again, we are going to be at the pop century resort for 10 days pre-cruise vacations and we are heavy shoppers, will probably have 8 luggage by the embarcation day and we don´t want to take all that load to the boat, can we live the extra luggage at pop century resort? after the cruise we are going to stay for 2 more days

:confused3 :rolleyes2

hey there guys!!!!

welcome everyone!!!

 perdidobay!!!!! How ya doin!!!!??????? :hyper: Awesome that you're going to be on the cruise too!!!! same story here - so you and I will find each other at the pool I am sure.

Be sure to register over at the other site too, just to keep up.

I will try and get the front page updated soon. I have a ton of work today, though.

outahere, I kinda figured this. Yup - watch my elbows fly as I get to the port! Great to have you on board with us!!!

Ender - welcome also. I saw you over on the other site already and was trying to place who you were - now I know.

I think you can leave luggage there because we have done it - but just for a day. You can call PoP Century. I don't have the number handy, but its available pretty easily at www.allearsnet.com under the fact sheet for the resort.

I call the pop century and the said it was Ok!!! thanks for number:cool1: :thumbsup2

If upgrades are available at the port, they are much less expensive than booking ahead of time. They usually charge a rate for the cabin, not a per person rate. If you want to try for one, make sure you get to the port early, because if any are available, they go FAST!

anyone ever done this before -- what is the upgrade charge from a Cat 5 to a Cat 3 at port -- when we booked this cruise I think we were quoted like $10k for the Cat 3 room.

where is everyone??????? :confused3

and yup Deanna, I take no prisoners. :rotfl: :lmao:  But in all seriousness, I think we would be just fine this cruise with an inside stateroom, if upgrades are not to be had.

I think we need a photo of the day to get everyone back on track! I am so keenly aware of the 68 days right now - aggghhh - lots to do, lots to prepare for - lots of weight to lose :scared1:

since a couple of us set this up - here is the massage cabana at CC:

where is everyone???????

I'm beginning to think there is going to be an echo in the hallways and dining rooms on this cruise. You are still able to select a stateroom in a lot of categories and Main dining is still available, with only 67 days to go!!

Helloooooo......... anyone there (there..... there..... there.....)?

Seriously?!! OMG! That is pretty unheard of to still have main dining out there.

Things are looking pretty good for upgrades, me thinks!

people on the main forum keep espousing that the ships are sailing full, but I can not believe that. The price hasn't risen either which is another indication that things are not good for filling this ship.

Hi Everyone.....I haven't been on the boards in a while but we are all still going. I can't wait! I went on my 8th DCL in December so the April one will be my 9th.
When I did the Wonder for a 3 night DCL in December the staff at Palo's told me that they had been practically empty on some of the previous sailings.

Going to try the Palo's High Tea for the first time. I always try to do something new. My mom and MIL are coming with me for the tea it should be fun.
I have to go back and read all that I missed but looking forward to meeting everyone onboard!

Anyone staying at the Hyatt the night before?

we were going to stay at the Hyatt but changed our reservation to be at Cocoa Beach to be closer the next morning (we are renting a car on Friday to drive over)

We usually do this but this time we bought our air through DCL since it was cheaper only since everyone is trying to leave Boston all at once. Did you pick a hotel at Cocoa Beach yet? I have stayed at many of them...

Here is a picture of the day -

Look what the did for my birthday at Palo's

I was really surprised when we switched to this cruise a week or so ago, that Main dining was still available. I did a "phony" ressie this morning and was still able to select a cabin in cats 5 and 6 and Main dining was still available.

We're staying at the Hyatt the night before because we don't land until 10:30pm (flying out of Providence, RI). By the time we get luggage it will be close to 11:00pm. Even though we like staying near the port, I really don't want to drive over there and arrive after midnight - I need my beauty sleep, ya know. We've stayed at the Hyatt a few times, and it is comfortable, and obviously convenient.

We're getting in around 10:30PM and am planning on staying at the "Radisson at the Port". I won't be able to sleep anyway. :-)

Has anyone else stayed there??

We stayed there a few years ago, and it was clean and comfortable. The only problem we had was that the night we were there, the local high school prom was being held in their ballroom - a little noisy and kids wandering all over the place. That was a Saturday night though, and I think the prom this year is the Saturday night after we board the ship.

You might want to post a question on the main forum asking for feedback from people who have stayed there recently.
