We're good -- I liked your note about our 2010 trip. oh, and we're from Ellicott City, MD

Also, I assume most have noticed this, but over on allearsnet, there is a daily blog this week of someone currently on the 7 night western. Has been great reading this week while dealing with this terrible snow/ice storm.

One other question, can anyone point me towards a good post on how the whole Fish Extender thing works? I really don't understand, but it seems like fun. I guess I might be asking too late for this cruise . . .

Tina - that is so funny, because I had that written on my silly note pad I was trying to take notes with, but when it came time to transcribe that over to that page, I read my godawful handwriting as Ohio - duh!

Hi All . I have created over on the other board a set of threads for the kids to post to and get to chat about things. I got sidetracked before I could sit the kids down to post something. But lets try and keep these for the kids. Parents, we should watch and make sure thing stay appropriate, but lets try not to post on these boards. I wonder if we can rename the one about teens to parents and talk there.

Hello Fellow cruisers!

I, along with my DH and our best freinds will be on the 4-18 cruise
We are all 50 somethings with grown kids spending their inheritance

This will be my 12th DCL cruise, DH's 7th and our friends 3rd. (We got them hooked)

Our freinds aren't the type to join in meets so we won't be joining in on your fun, but I just wanted to say hi and I hope I see you guys around the ship.

This will be our first Western cruise, we've done the Eastern, and loved it.

I really look forward to this cruise as I've never been to any of the ports before.
If you guys see two women laying all day by the adult pool with drinks in hand, it's probably me and BF

If you see two guys hanging around Diversions all day with beer in hand
(most likely Guiness) that would be our DH's.

DH and I just did the 3 day Wonder and it has me so looking forward to being on a ship for more than 68 hours (yes I counted!).

hey Paul ... just saw this. I just made a new category called "Parental Discussions about Kids Clubs"... that's where anyone (ok, me) can talk/ask questions about the kids clubs so we can leave the Kids Club category to... THE KIDS!

I plan on being online at midnight tonight to try and get a Palo brunch... since we are also first timers on DCL, we have had to wait until 75 days out, which it becomes at midnight Eastern time ....

If upgrades are available at the port, they are much less expensive than booking ahead of time. They usually charge a rate for the cabin, not a per person rate. If you want to try for one, make sure you get to the port early, because if any are available, they go FAST!
