April 18, 2010 - 4 night Wonder

Yeah, it's kind of a bummer coming back from CC and then have to start packing the suitcases. :sad2:

This will be nice, leave CC, then have a day at sea before having to get off the ship!!! :goodvibes

Thanks Andy....... great art work!

Also, thanks for alerting Shirley to the problem Steph and Mariah were having yesterday. It's people like you and Shirley who make the DIS a special place! It sounds like all is well now, and hopefully they will have a WONDERFUL cruise and a good time when they arrive back in Orlando.

I can't take credit for the art work above, I Googled it, LOL!!!

Yes, I'm sure Steph and Mariah are having a "WONDERful" time now!!! ;)

Sad to report but the cruise is going to be a no go for us afterall. William can't have the time off from work with just starting a new job. Rose doesn't want to go without him, so I think we are going to try and find something closer to do at home, maybe a long weekend trip next Spring.

It would have been fun sailing with you, maybe another time perhaps.

Sorry to hear that you won't be joining us. I'm sure everything will work out for the best, and enjoy whatever you decide to do.

Sorry to hear this Paul, I didn't even have a chance to say hello, and now have to say good-bye. But, I for one, know what it is like to cancel out on a cruise. I had to cancel our cruise this year due to having surgery. Hope all goes well for you and your family!!! :goodvibes

Hi There Ed--anything exciting happening today? I'm just sitting here waiting for the results of my fitness test to see when I can return to work and also waiting for the mailman to deliver my AFLAC check, my life is so exciting these days, LOL!!! :lmao:

We just booked a cabin for this cruise. It will be our (DH and I, we don't have kids) first Disney Cruise. I have spent hours ready the information on here. This will be an early 40th birthday present for me!

Our itinerary as of today (subject to changes due to my perogative:)
April 11th - Drive Vancouver to Seattle, fly Seattle to Orlando, stay in hotel up near Universal Studios (book hotel through Hotwire closer to date)
April 12th - combination of Bass Pro Outdoor World, Universal Sudios, Margaritaville
April 13th - what we missed from day before
April 14th - early check out and drop luggage at WDW (trying to decide between POP, Boardwalk and the Dolphin - will depend on how quickly I can save $$$). Then drive to Lakeland for Sun 'n Fun for the day. Late back to POP
April 15th - Disney
April 16th - Disney
April 17th - Disney
April 18th - board Wonder
April 19th - Nassau. Probably quick trip to buy rum cakes, then spend day on board ship. We've been to Nassau before on a different cruise.
April 20th - Castaway Cay
April 21st - at sea
April 22nd - free day (maybe some shopping, or Epcot or downtown Disney. Spend night at Hyatt at airport
April 23rd - fly to Seattle, drive to Vancouver
April 24th - collapse from exhaustion, laundry, start planning next trip.

We haven't decided yet if we will stay at WDW on the night of the 17th, or have dinner at Epcot and then stay at Port Canaveral.

Hello Rachael Q--:welcome: to the crew!!!

Looks like you have everything planned out quite well. My DW and I own a vacation home in Lake County, Florida which is about a 90 minute drive to Port Canaveral. We are planning on flying down on 4/17 and spending the night there, then driving to the port on the 18th. After the cruise, we will most likely go back to Lake County for a couple of days, then fly back home on Sunday.

Hi Andy..... nothing really exciting here in MA. It rained all day yesterday, so I couldn't mow the lawn and the ground/grass is so wet today, I'll probably wait until tomorrow....... need to fix the lawn tractor before I can do it anyway.

I hope your tests all come back ok so you can plan your return to work. I'm in the middle of taking the required course for a MA Real Estate License, so I'll be spending this week in class and studying (dry, dry, dry material).

You mean the duck doesn't deliver the AFLAC checks?!?!? :confused3 Wow.... what a let down........

Welcome Aboard!!! Your itinerary looks pretty full! I think you're probably right about the plan for the 24th - collapse from exhaustion!

We're planning on flying to Orlando on Saturday afternoon and driving over to the port for the night. After the cruise we're probably going to go stay at Marriott Cypress Harbour for a couple of days and most likely go to WDW at least one day before we fly back home on Saturday.

Nope, the :donald: doesn't deliver the checks, that would be neat though, LOL!!! :lmao:

I got a call Friday evening at 4:45 letting me know I passed the fitness test for work, I see my surgeon this coming Tuesday afternoon, then it's back to work Wednesday morning at 8am for me!!! :)

Good luck with the real estate license course!!! ;) I'd probably fall asleep in that class. :upsidedow

Rained alot here the past two days, but beautiful sunshine now, Hazel and I just arrived home from a picnic lunch at a park down the street from us. The park sits along the Delaware River, we had a nice breeze blowing off the river. :goodvibes

Believe me, staying awake is difficult when you're hearing about all of the Federal and state laws. Good thing I didn't try to go to law school!! My DD made it through law school (and passed the bar) and I'm not sure how she did it!

Once I pass the course, I have to study for a four hour exam. Oh goody, goody....... I will probably be a zombie by the time I get through everything!

I know I would be......;)

Hi Andy,

I hope all went well and you started back to work today. That will probably take some getting used to after being off since June.

One more day of class tomorrow, and I'm done! :woohoo:

Then I get to spend a few hours every day for a couple of weeks studying for the exam. :headache:

Hi Ed,

Yes, I made out great at my surgeon's appt. yesterday and went back to work this morning. My knee is quite swollen after being on my feet all day, I came home after work and out an ice pack on my knee to try and get some of the swelling down.

My boss did tell me that he is keeping the young fellow, who filled in for me this summer, reading meters for a little while longer.

I'm sure you are happy your classes are almost over, and at least you have a little while to go before taking the test.

I've been up since 4am, I think I need to take a little nap as my eye lids are closing on me as I try to type.....

Hi Andy,

Glad to hear that you're making progress. Keep that ice pack handy!

Just got home from the last day of class, and I am glad to be finished. Now to start studying for the exam..... I hope to take it by the end of the first week of October, depending on how well I think I know the material (the course material includes 3 practice exams). It is a 140 question test, so that's a lot of "stuff" I need to know. I am going to be so "dane bread", oops.... I meant brain dead. :confused3 I think I'm going to need a cruise long before April!

Ed

Ed,

I've only been back to work for two days and I think I'm ready to sneak away on a cruise as well, LOL!!! :lmao:

It's been just my luck, we've had rain yesterday and today, welcome back to work for me...........

Tomorrow is suppose to be very nice though, looking forward to that!!! :thumbsup2

Study, Study, Study!!! ;)

Hey Ed,

How is the studying going for your exam?

I had a good week at work, but was soooooooooooooo happy to see the weekend roll around. I need these two days off to rest up for the coming week, LOL!!! :lmao:

Have a nice and enjoyable weekend!!! :thumbsup2
