Oh dear Lord, so I just signed up for a "make more work for everyone FE"!

Ok, if no one else is doing the small FE exclusively then I will just participate in the large exchange.

You are such an enabler DebT!

By the way I was laughing and smiling during that last post, I am just doing it on a blackberryand can't get to the emoticons to show it! :D

Greetings Fellow Cruisers!!! Just arrived home from a week in Siesta Key/Sarasota. What beautiful weather for February, 75-80, sunny and dry everyday. Would have been perfect except that 2 hours before we were to leave for our flight home, my oldest DS came down with fever, chills, body aches and horrible stomach pain. He was too weak to even walk to the bathroom. So my mom volunteered to fly home with the other two kids, DS was a little better this morning so we flew home this afternoon and my mom headed back to Florida. What a saint!!!!!

Loved catching up on everything!!!!!popcorn::

Did someone say "Girls Night Out"!?!?! You had me at "Girls", count me in.

I'd also like to join the smaller FE group, my kids love doing it but I've been a little scared of the large number so I hope we can get a smaller group going!

I am a maybe for the Castaway Cay 5K but as a power walker, I'll have to see how much I can walk in the next 6-7 weeks. Will keep you posted!

I also added you to the Girls Night Out and 5K lists. :goodvibes

Sure hope your DS  is all better soon... and that no one else in the house gets it!

OK, I am in! We have fish extenders anyways, and the kids like doing this!

so a non-cruise related question here, but disney related, we are going to disneyafter the cruise until sunday. Originally I had visions of getting food and making meals there but for the short time we are going to be there I have decided against that.
I am thinking of getting the dining plan and was looking for some opinions from anyone that may have used it in the past.
we are looking to go to ohana's breakfast, crystal palace and 50's primetime cafe. I have tried to do the math and it looks like it saves money with the dessert but not by much. I am just wondering if it is just the ease of it for people or do you really feel like you save money.
Thanks for any opinion you'd like to share

I can't help you with the cost opinion, but just wanted to ask if you had already made your dining ressies? You are looking at 3 very popular places that tend to fill up quickly. You can either call 407-WDW-DINE or book online.

thank you, I have reservations already at those restaurants and a few others, i know they fill up quickly. I just redid my math and it looks like it is cheaper than I thought, I thought it was about 700.00 for the plan but it is really 560.00 so it does look like it is worth it.
my problem is I have a 13 year old son who might not make it on two meals and a snack a day!

Hi, we have done the dining plan many times. It IS great! However, our next trip to the World we are likely going to pass on it, as I am sick of being tied to my dining reservations! :) If we are there for a week, I might make 2 or 3 ressies for the week (our faves) and eat counter service, etc for the rest. Cheaper and more relaxing to me sometimes than worrying, well we need to be at Le Cellier in 30 min, are we sure we have time for this? etc etc etc :) But, it is a great value if you planned on eating with ressies already!

Have you looked into the counter service dining plan? Not sure if it's available for all hotel ressies but it might be worth it to you to look into.

We have. But if you want any table service restaurants it always made sense just to book the regular dining plan, as it was only a very small difference in cost for our family (2 kids under 9). So, we always ended up with the regular plan. However, my new love is Wyndham Bonnet Creek over Disney owned properties (oh the horror!!!) :) Love the space and location. And the full kitchen and multiple bedrooms for the very reasonable price! Right now the only thing that could lure me back onsite would be a monorail resort, but at a great price! Once I realized how much time we saved by driving our own car vs disney transportation, on site was not as desirable to us. But to be fair, we have loved each and every time we have stayed onsite too :)

We've stayed at BC many, many times since they opened. We just traded in our BC deed for one at National Harbor and saving a ton on maintenance fees.
I've never been a fan of WDW transport, takes way too long. We have AP's which get us free parking and that saves a lot of money in the long run for us and basically pays for 1 of our AP's in the parking fee savings.

BTW- I noticed the thread about the potential new aquaduck height requirement is gone. I wonder if its really true!!!!!
