We had free dining (plan) in the fall 2005. That was when the tip was still included in the dining plan. Now you have to pay for it.

It was good but way too much sit down time for my boys and yeah, too much having to plan around the scheduled meals.

I did learn that even if you are hours late, as long as you have that ressie number they will still take you! 'cause we were late all the time!

We added the counter service plan for our trip. I figure if 3 teenage boys can't make that plan work than nothing will!

On a related note, does anyone know how to copy part of a post to their iPhone notepad app? I want copy the list of snacks gotten at which place & park to my phone. There's so many good ones I never remember about!

Right now, I'm reading up on the Harry Potter ride. The biggest tip is to arrive bagless so you don't have to get in the monstruous 'Check bag' Line. Not having a bag will be hard for me.

Really looking forward to that girls night out. And you're absolutely right about no bags at Harry Potter. I have actually gotten to the point where I can do what needs to be done without one. Camera is on a camera lanyard thingie, phone is on my belt, chapstick in my pocket. I have my passes/room keys in a US/IoA lanyard. Then, when I get to Harry Potter, I tuck it all under my shirt. US/IoA really hates anything hanging off you when you do any of the more 'intense' rides, so be sure that stuff is tucked away.
But having to wait in the bag line is a huge pain in the fanny. It added about 30 mins to our wait times last summer..won't do that again.
We'll be at US/IoA the Thurs/Fri before the cruise, then staying at AKL for the two nights after the cruise!!!

Yes, I have a very light windbreaker that has a zipper pocket on the front. This front pocket goes left to right across the tummy area. Let's call it a pouch pocket.

I'm gonna put it on before the ride and zip the necessities in there.

Only on the first day, of course, to make sure we ride at least once. Then, back to having a bag. I can't live without it either.

We'll be there the afternoon of the 13th, probably until closing at 7pm and also the 14th. Until we can't take it anymore and have to leave for the Beach Club Villas and Disney.

We have. But if you want any table service restaurants it always made sense just to book the regular dining plan, as it was only a very small difference in cost for our family (2 kids under 9). So, we always ended up with the regular plan. However, my new love is Wyndham Bonnet Creek over Disney owned properties (oh the horror!!!) Love the space and location. And the full kitchen and multiple bedrooms for the very reasonable price! Right now the only thing that could lure me back onsite would be a monorail resort, but at a great price! Once I realized how much time we saved by driving our own car vs disney transportation, on site was not as desirable to us. But to be fair, we have loved each and every time we have stayed onsite too

Sorry, I haven't checked the boards for a few days so I'm a little behind.

Put us down for both FE groups. We are new at this and still eager so lots of gifts isn't daunting...yet. I know everyone says "oh, it is just the thought that counts" and "people love just getting the gifts", but are there some gifts that are better (or worse) than others?

Where do you own? Part of me would love to buy a timeshare, but part of me thinks I can get locations cheaper not being an owner We will be checking into Bonnet Creek that same day you leave! Post cruise we are visiting my Mom in FL for Easter.

Oh no! Not even close to the record! This is light thread in comparison to some I have been on for meets in the past and for the transatlantics or MVs. But we can also work harder!!!

Has any one signed up their teens for the Wild Side it is the teens only excursion on Castaway Cay. I did sign up Nicole, but she is kind of shy and I'm not sure how she will do.
