Then the next logical port for DCL to sail out of will be Baltimore since Disney is building a place at National Harbor along the Potomac River. Baltimore is only about an hour from us so that's even better than NY/NJ. Funny how no one has mentioned this connection.

If they haven't released summer 2012, maybe they could do soemthing out of NYC. I don't think many 3 and 4 nights go out of the NYC area in April due to the cold....

Actually the 2012 schedule is only out until the end of August. There's still 4 months of cruises for all the ships. The Magic stop at the end of March, but I have a feeling it's be going to Europe for part of that time. Maybe they can go to Europe by way of the east coast for a couple of cruises at the beginning and end of the European season.

The H2O stuff that DCL uses has a scent that I don't care for, so I always bring my own. It's a different scent than what WDW resorts uses. I don't even know how to describe it. Like Alenushka said, if you're picky, you might want to bring your own.

Not to mention getting the shampoo and conditioner out of little bottles is very irritating. I miss the ones they had years ago with Mickey and Friends on them. I still have some. I always take the toiletries from hotels when I travel for work or pleasure because we donate them to the shelters, they get put in nice bags with clean socks and other necessities. The Disney ones I couldn't part with.

Actually the tubes they have are easy to dispense. They aren't the little annoying bottles most places use.
I have a set of the old DCL ones in my powder room, along with the old WDW toiletries. My powder room was supposed to be the only non-Disney room in the house - that didn't last long .

I e-mailed my TA yesterday asking if she got our dinner and show assignment. She said she just got some for Feb reservations so she didn't have ours yet. When we booked we got late dinner. That appears to be 8:30 from all the posts I have read. If we get the 7pm show that would work. If we got the 5 PM that would not be so good. She waitlisted us for early dinner but from all the posts I have read, the later dinner is the preferred time. I have a 6 year old and I was concerned about her being too tired to eat at 8:30 so I went with the waitlist for early seating at 6:30. I would hope we get the 5 PM show because my DD can't do a 9 PM show, much too late. It would mean we may have to leave an afternoon activity to get back to the room to get ready for the early show. I am thinking she may want to go to Oceaneer's Club after dinner for a while and her Dad and I could have a little adult time. Anyone with little ones have any advice?

Our DD was 6 first time we cruised. We had 6:30 dinner and 9 pm show. It worked for us. Sometimes she went back to the club AFTER the show, bs she loved it so much and insisted she was not sleepy. We have the same times this cruise, but we are considering switching bs it will give us more time to get ready after port activities and to digest late lunch food better.

We did the Blue Lagoon dophin encounter in 2006. It was me, DH, and DS8. We met in one of the lounges at the appointed time and followed a CM through the terminal bldg in Nassau to a water taxi/ferry. From there we stopped once to pick up some people near Atlantis. It was a 20-30 minute ride to the Blue Lagoon. At the time we went the beach was closed . We saw a short orientation film then were divided into groups. There were maybe 4 or 5 ? groups/families to a trainer. We went to the encounter area and each group had their turn in the water with their dolphin. We got into the water on a platform. We danced with, hugged, kissed, and fed our dolphin. There was a photographer filming the encounter and taking pics. We also had our own camera and one of the other groups took pics when it was our turn. The whole encounter lasted about 40 minutes and we had maybe 10? minutes in the water with our dolphin. We had Ms. Merlin. It was a pretty cool experience. After the encounter there was the requisite gift shop where you could purchase pic and souveniers. We had a good hour or so to hang out and walk around and wished the beach was open--the area looked beautiful. We left at 10-1030am were back on board the ship by 2pm. It was totally worth the money we paid.

We went over 10 years ago and we sat on a hot dock most of the time and were in the water with the dolphins all of 2 mins in waist deep water with one hand behind our back and the other petting the dolphin. What a dissappointment! My hubby loves the Miami Dolphins and my daughter loves dolphins. I wanted to do one on the cruise but it looks like the only time would be in Nassau. That is also the only chance my hubby would get to gamble at the casino and I know he is not giving that up. I was thinking of looking into Discovery Cove on the 18th. It is pricey but Amex was running a special that ended this year, I am hoping they run it again in 2011 (I think it was for $75 off). Does anyone have a Casino they would recommend? Atlantis?

What a dissappointment! My hubby loves the Miami Dolphins and my daughter loves dolphins. I wanted to do one on the cruise but it looks like the only time would be in Nassau. That is also the only chance my hubby would get to gamble at the casino and I know he is not giving that up. I was thinking of looking into Discovery Cove on the 18th. It is pricey but Amex was running a special that ended this year, I am hoping they run it again in 2011 (I think it was for $75 off). Does anyone have a Casino they would recommend? Atlantis?

I would definitely go to Discovery Cove over doing it in the Bahama's. We went last November and truly of all my vacations, it was truly the best single day.

We will be at discovery cove on the 16th. The amex discount came out in the Summer, I doubt it will be around for Spring break

Just closed on a house in Davenport Fl...10 min from Disney....oh the obsession grows!!!

Well-

I switched from Providence to Hartford to fly out of!

They had early morning down and back airfares with 1 stop for $79 base on the way down (13th) and $89 for the way back (26th- and the 27th, which we def. can't do has $79 base).

I've never flown out of Harford. I hope parking is decent. I work with some former Connecticut people and they all use parking companies and take the shuttle in. I would like to park at the airport but maybe that's not so reasonable....Ah! a new adventure to stress about.

I love the H20 products on board. They tend to have 'sea' smells, or has that changed since 2008?

I traded in the idea of the dolphin adventure with horseback riding at Fort Wilderness.
